Third person's pov
Meera looked at herself in the mirror. She looked good. She felt it. The maroon dress fits her in all the right places accentuating her figure gorgeously. The lace dress hugged her like a second skin to her hips, spreading like a waterfall down from her thighs beautifully. Elijah chose it for her. 'My doe will look magnificent wearing it like the queen she is ', he had said. Meera felt butterflies dancing in her belly imagining Elijah looking at her currently wearing his chosen dress. She met her eyes in the mirror and stilled. Wondering what is she really doing. Does Elijah's opinion matter to her now? Since when? How? Shaking her head, she picked up the ruby necklace Elijah bought for her. She should not think anything ridiculous. Everything was going perfectly. Evelyn and her plan matched and are running smoothly. Elijah and she were strangely cordially happy these last few days. He every morning gave her dozens of bouquets as his extended apology. Needless to say, she was happy and impressed. Nobody has gifted her flowers before.
Sighing, she wondered if these weird feelings would nothing but ruin everything. No need for it. But tell that to her heart which refused to listen to her nowadays. Whenever Elijah was near or around her, it thumped fast and hard simultaneously erupting hundreds of butterflies in her tummy.
Like right now she felt her heart thumping out of her chest suddenly. Before she can comprehend it, the warmth of another body touched her back. Then slowly like a creeper tendril, a hand slides along hers wrapping itself fluidly. She can only gawk stupidly amid her racing heart. The hand took the necklace away from her hold gently. A stubbled chin rested itself on her right shoulder. Pine and musk scent wafted to her nostrils making her hypnotized. Why didn't she notice the intoxicating smell before, crossed her mind and she closed her eyes enjoying the touch and smell. Silky soft hair tendrils decorating her face away from the flawless updo of hers swayed along the hot breath falling on her tingling skin of neck and collarbone and she inhaled deeply. The butterflies danced joyously in her belly.
"Beautiful"
In a deep baritone, the husky voice rasped in her right ear. She bit down her lower lip unconsciously with the delicious shivers that erupted in her body. She was liking it too much out of the blue. Like feathers touched her hot skin evoking pleasurable goosebumps, a soft pair of lips kissed the skin below her ear. She sucked a breath barely keeping the moan from escaping the confines of her throat. The hand snaked around her waist removed itself and in reflex from its loss she tried to catch it back but it dodged the hold. A whine passed through her lips, eyes still closed, too buzzed at the moment.
She shivered delectably when the cold texture of the ruby necklace was placed around her neck. The warm fingers brushed along the curve of her shoulders and to the back of her neck. Licking her lower lip, she leaned back in the muscular body. She felt an open mouth kiss on the back of her neck after the necklace was clasped closed. She arched her neck and lolled her head back on the welcoming shoulder. The feeling was so congenial. The hands descend from her shoulders to the back of her palms holding them in their strong clasp. In a cross, she felt the hands above hers wrap around her torso and tighten consequently.
"Open your eyes, doe"
She obligated, like an order given to her hypnotized mind. Her black orbs met dark green ones staring at her with a soft smile through the mirror. She felt enchanted by his beauty. From his green eyes to that chiseled jaw, everything was like a sculpted god. He is an Adonis. Her mouth parted slightly gaping at him, mesmerized.
"So bewitchingly captivating, my doe"
He said like a thought he couldn't contain to himself.
"You too"
She felt herself speak her mind out loud in a frenzy of daze. Showing his dimples, Elijah kissed her temple. And those darn dimples did it for Meera. Turning her head sideways, she placed her lips on his left dimple simultaneously closing her eyes to enjoy it. The roughly trimmed stubble grazing her petal lips sent a pleasurable jolt to her soul. She lost herself in the euphoria to think straight much less behaving like herself. The muscles under her lips flexed approvingly by her kiss along with the tightening hold along her waist. The low growl of appreciation vibrated on her back from the firm chest.
"Doe"
The voice sounded restrained like it was difficult to keep control. Her eyes flew open. The dilated green eyes stared into her soul. The desire and need were as visible as daylight in his eyes. Her throat felt dry suddenly. Her gaze dropped to his lips and the urge to quench the thirst of tasting the juicy lips burned in her gut unfathomably. Her lips quivered uncontrollably. Elijah's eyes saw everything unblinkingly like a starved lion watching the prey. His eyes darkened seeing the sensually seducing look his doe was sporting and the obvious want in her eyes that she herself was unaware of. He lived it. He felt it. And when every cell of his body has flamed in ecstasy, he smashed his lips to the waiting more than welcoming sinful lips in a fierce kiss.
Meera was finding it difficult to keep up with Elijah's pace. His lips moved ferociously over hers. Every nerve ending in her body lightened. She felt alive. The euphoria was overwhelming. She never knew kissing someone willingly was so pleasurably euphoric. It was unexplainable.
Elijah reluctantly pulled back to match the drunken look he himself felt on his doe. He was overjoyed.
"Eli"
she whispered dazed against his lips and he was tempted again to kiss the now swollen red lips. Only, time was not with him. Pecking her lips, Elijah announced,
"It's time to go to Eve's party, doe"
He decided he will finish this after coming back. She was irresistible. But Eve will have his head if he wouldn't be there in the next thirty minutes. Blame it on his doe who made him insane by looking so gorgeous and sexy. He was one lucky man.
Blinking her eyes as if to clear the haze, Meera nodded her head. Her head was a mixed jumble of thoughts. Her heart was beating like that of a rabbit. She blushed down to her neck. She wanted to deny that the kiss was not toe-curling but who was she fooling? Her every skin part was vibrating and basking in the aftermath of the euphoria. Ducking her head down, she tried to hide the blush meanwhile picking up her diamond-studded clutch. She felt her chin being lifted,
"The blush on your face looks so beautiful that I want it permanently on you"
She blushed furiously further at his words. Smiling shyly, Meera placed her hand on his outstretched one. Intertwining their hands Elijah led them outside of their walk-in closet and room.
