Chapter 79 - Winter War

[Department H, WINTER WEIR]

Light and quick footsteps, coupled with the noise of moving wheels filled the hallway of Department H. A security guard turned to the source of the footstep and slightly nodded while the agent walked past.

The agent continued forward and stopped in front of a sealed door. They slipped their hand into their pocket and picked out a keycard and placed it on the door for it to slide open.

The agent entered the section and continued forward. They walked past a few empty cells before stopping in front of a cell with a prisoner in it, not just any prisoner, Storm 10: Rory light.

The agent picked up a small round box from a wheeled robot following behind them. The agent walked up to the cell and typed a code in the panel. A small opening appeared in the bottom of the energy barricade gating the cell. The agent slipped the box in and moved to the next cell in which Erins Tothe was. They also slipped a box in through the opening and moved to the next cell.

The agent stopped in front of the cell, staring at the prisoner; Jesselyn, before moving closer to slip the food box into the cell. They turned to walk away but the former Storm 65 called out. "How is he doing?" Jesselyn queried.

The agent stopped and turned back to Jesselyn. "He's alive." Jesselyn shoots her a weak smile before picking up the box from the ground.

The agent placed her palm on the robot. It let out a robotic noise before rolling out of the cell section. The agent waited until the robot was out of sight before moving deeper into the section.

They placed their key card on the door panel and it slid open, allowing access into a cold dark section. The agent waved their hand over a box on the wall and the room became bright enough to see.

The room had one single cell room and in it was the Department H agent, Storm 01. He sat with his back leaned against the wall of the hexagonal compartment with a blue glowing handcuff binding both his hands. The dark-haired man inhaled and exhaled and a cold vapour flew out of his mouth.

After his outburst on Moonfour, the dark-haired man was locked in a cold cell with Z-negation cuffs that were designed to negate the Z abilities in the young man. Though the negation cuffs worked effectively, the cold in the cell seem to induce no harm to the Storm agent as she stared at the blue agent: Ishary Summary.

"Why do you keep coming here?" Storm 01 queried. He paused for a couple of seconds before speaking again. "It seems you don't understand what you did, Ishary."

"You betrayed my trust. You betrayed everything we had going on between us." Ishary averted her eyes down as she listened to the dark-haired man talk. She's been sneaking into the cell section, pretending to deliver food for the prisoners just to see Storm 01 but he never paid her any attention, but now he was. Even if it was ranting words, she was ready to accept it all. "I confided in you. I told you everything that happened to me, you… you were more than just my medical care person, Ishary."

"I'm sorry, but I had to do what I did…"

"What out of all you said to me was true? You probably still have your family living a noble life in the Realm, am I right?" He chipped.

The arctic blue-haired lady inched closer to the cell. "Everything I said was true. I never lied about anything, not what I said about my past, and not my feelings. It's not my fault," the arctic blue-haired girl stated. "Miss Havishma is the problem here, she has a way of manipulating people. Everyone on this ship has been manipulated one way or the other by her, even you must have fallen victim to her."

"Yes. Yes, I have. And mine is joining Department H, and not doing anything later on, despite the signs that were laid in front of me. But yours is worse," he stopped for a beat before speaking again.

"Because of you, a lot of lives would be lost, and not just on Winter Weir, this entire galaxy is not safe with Miss Havishma running the D.H. and you know it. You could make this right, Ishary."

Ishary was quiet after listening to Storm 01. She looked down at the key card she was holding and then up at the dark-haired man. "I can't… I'm sorry." The arctic blue-haired girl turned and rushed out of the place.

Miss Havishma sat on a couch in her pad with Electro 28 on the chair across the table in front of her. She held a glass filled with a green glowing liquid in her hand.

The Electro agent leaned forward and dropped his glass on the table. "So I went through the memory of Aix and I found something."

"What is it?" She asked.

"When Aix's mainframe was hacked, we thought the alarm went off before the hacker could get anything, but what really happened is: the alarm went off after they got what they needed," he revealed.

Miss Havishma dropped her glass on the table and crossed her legs. "What were they after?"

"The formula for the Z-syrup and a little information on the agents in Department H."

She leaned back on her chair and took a deep breath. "Aix security was breached? That's disappointing. We are handling too many issues and that's the least of problems since it's already been many years," Miss Havishma stated. "What we really need to focus on are the spies from Earth. They seem to be getting too comfortable and I intend to pluck them from the root. But first, I need you to send Storm 05 and 35 here."

The duo both turned to the door as they heard a knock on it. "Come in." The door opened and a Storm agent stepped into the room. She slightly bow her head before stepping a little closer to the two. "I apologize, but Ace McClain escaped our radar. He disappeared immediately after he entered into the Underground."

Miss Havishma glared at the agent before shaking her head disappointedly. "We would have negotiated something but he escaped after I dealt with his master: Chief, God bless his soul," she stated. "Well, Ace is not a priority now, I…"

Before Miss Havishma could complete her words, a trembling noise coupled with a heavy rumble that shook the Department H spaceship clouded the air.

The glass cups on the table roll over and shattered into pieces on impact to the ground. The pale skinned lady looked up at the electro agent before rushing out of the room.
