"He's approaching." One of the killers said quietly, sitting atop a long carriage. Turning his head and pulling the curtain, he saw his twenty men readying their weapons.
"What the plan then." One asked, looking past the driver.
"Stop in front of them and surprise them. In the surprise, we can easily get rid of two of the guards."
"It's quite different from our usual way." The rest shared the nervousness in the man's voice. While they had killed important targets, they always had more time to plan. The suddenness of the mission threw them off.
"I know. But we've been paid well for this job to make up for this. Just think of the gold after it's done." The rest nodded in and steeled themselves, getting rid of any hesitation.
