Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Determined Path

After the dinner with his family, Ethan returned to his room, his mind swirling with thoughts about his future training. He knew he had to improve himself if he wanted to survive and thrive in this supernatural world. Sitting on his bed, he pondered the areas he needed to focus on - his body, mana, and skills.

Ethan sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror. "I can't stand the way I look and how fat I am,' he muttered to himself. I need to start with body training."

With newfound determination, Ethan decided to divide his day into three parts for training. He planned to work on his body in the morning, focusing on exercises and physical conditioning. "I'll start each day with a good workout," he thought.

In the afternoon, after lunch, Ethan would concentrate on honing his skills and abilities. He knew he needed to become proficient in using his powers to protect himself and others. "I can't let my family down. I need to be strong and skilled."

Lastly, in the evening, he would devote time to meditation, honing his mana and spiritual abilities. "I have to tap into the power within me," he said with determination.

Ethan felt a sense of purpose and excitement as he charted his training plan. He knew it wouldn't be easy, but he was ready to push himself to the limits. Each day would be a step towards becoming the person he aspired to be.

After determining his training routine, Ethan realized he needed someone to guide him in body training. After careful consideration, he decided to ask his father for help. He walked to his father's room, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. After a brief moment of hesitation, he knocked on the door.

"Come in," his father's voice called from inside. Ethan took a deep breath and entered the room. "Father, I want you to help me train my body," he said with determination.

William, Ethan's father, was taken aback by the request. He had always thought his son was content with his appearance, but now he understood Ethan's desire for change. He saw the potential benefits of a healthier and stronger body for his son. William agreed to help Ethan and even decided to teach him swordsmanship alongside his body training.

On the day of the start of training, Ethan found himself standing in the custom-built training grounds at their house. The area was as big as a basketball court and designed to withstand the power of an A-rank awakened. Ethan eagerly awaited his father's arrival, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.

After a minute or two, William finally arrived. He explained to Ethan that while he would focus on teaching him body training, he would also impart the ways of the sword. Ethan was surprised but delighted, knowing that swordsmanship could be a valuable asset in the supernatural world.

With a warm-up to prepare, they began their training. William instructed Ethan to run 30 laps around the training ground. Ethan started with enthusiasm, but by the 7th lap, he was already out of breath. Despite the challenge, he pushed himself to continue, determined not to give up.

It took three grueling hours, but Ethan completed the 30 laps. He collapsed onto the ground, his body drenched in sweat. William walked over to his exhausted son, offering a pat on the back. After a 20-minute break, Ethan stood up and declared himself ready to continue.

Over the next week, the intense body exercises continued. Push-ups, squats, and various other exercises tested Ethan's endurance and strength. William believed Ethan's body was now prepared for the swordsmanship training, which would begin after a week of body exercises.

In the afternoon, Ethan shifted his focus to honing his skills. He discovered that repeatedly unleashing his skills increased their power, and with his vast mana reserves, he could unleash numerous skills each day.

In the evening, Ethan attempted to control his mana through concentration and circulation. However, he found it challenging to manage the energy effectively. Despite the struggle, Ethan remained determined to master the art of controlling his mana.

Over the following days, Ethan and his father began their training sessions. William guided Ethan through various exercises and workouts, pushing him to his limits and encouraging him to persevere. Ethan's muscles ached, but he knew it was necessary for his growth.

In addition to body training, William also introduced Ethan to the art of swordsmanship. Ethan eagerly absorbed his father's teachings, determined to master this skill as well.

As the days passed, Ethan stuck to his schedule diligently. He woke up early, sweat dripping from his brow as he pushed his body through rigorous workouts. He felt his muscles ache, but he welcomed the pain as a sign of progress.

In the afternoons, he practiced his skills and abilities, experimenting with different techniques and learning to control his powers. "I'm getting the hang of this," he whispered to himself, smiling at his progress.

In the evenings, he sat in quiet meditation, focusing on channeling his mana and inner strength. He felt a calmness wash over him as he connected with the supernatural energy within. "I'm beginning to understand and how to control my mana better" he thought, feeling a sense of fulfillment.

As weeks turned into months, Ethan's hard work started to pay off. He noticed a little changes in his physique, and his body becoming stronger. He could feel the power surging through his veins as his control over his skills improved.

After four months of relentless training, Ethan believed he was now ready to seek out special skills that could enhance his power even further. He had considered pursuing these skills before the past four months, but he knew that some of them resided in extremely dangerous areas, far beyond his current capabilities.

Instead, Ethan set his sights on a skill located in an E-rank dungeon nearby. The skill is something that would be discovered by the future villain that's why Ethan was convinced that obtaining this skill would not interfere or hinder with the growth of the main character. With a determined mindset, Ethan made the decision to embark on this quest.

On the day of his venture, Ethan stood before the entrance of the dungeon, dressed in black chest armor, a sword strapped to his waist, and a backpack filled with healing potions to aid him in any dangerous situations. He took a deep breath, calming the nerves that fluttered within him, and entered the dungeon.
