Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: S-System

「29th April」

"Good Morning Class D, it's the end of the month, so we're going to have a short test. Please pass these to the back." Chabashira-sensei said.

She handed out the papers to the students in the front row. Eventually, the single-sheet test reached my desk. It contained questions in the five main subjects. With only a few questions per subject, it really was short.

"This test is just for future reference. It won't be reflected in your report cards. There is no risk involved, so don't worry. Of course, cheating is prohibited."

As soon as the pop quiz began, I scanned the questions. There were four questions per subject, for a total of twenty. Each question was worth five points, for a total of one hundred points. Every question appeared to be easy, but, the final three questions were an order of magnitude higher in terms of difficulty. The final math problem couldn't be solved without complex formulae.

Within five minutes, I finished the test and gave it to Chabashira-sensei, who looked at me in shock as she was taken aback by my speed of finishing the test.

I also saw everyone else looking at me and simply smiled, wishing them good luck.

Later that day I was questioned, however, I gave each of them an charismatic response, that the test wasn't so hard for me.

「1st May 」

As expected, I was right all along with my theory. Well, I never doubted it to even one extent though. After all, that's just how much confidence I have in my abilities.

Upon my arrival in front of the classroom, I heard many of my classmates discussing the amounts of Private Points which were enumerated to us.

"Kurushima-kun was right all along," Mori-san exclaimed. "If it weren't for him, we perhaps wouldn't have gotten 59.300 Points," she added.

[Kurushima Kaoru:]

[Private Points: 9.081.022]

[8.896.722 + 59.300 + 125.000]

Due to me revealing the number of my Private Points last month, I didn't take the risk to buy anything else after that.

However, what surprised me wasn't that, but that I'm getting as a member of the student council also Points.

No, I expected some kind of Points, but not to this extent.

125.000 Points do sound good, however, now that I'm not poor anymore on Points, it's not that much of an excitement.

Suddenly, I saw almost everyone approaching me, as I opened the door of the classroom.

"Kurushima-kun," I heard my name being shouted. However, I saw also Hirata among the people, who approached me too.

"Kurushima-kun, it seems like you were right," he exclaimed.

"Sadly, yes, Hirata," I responded. "I had one ounce of hope that I was overthinking everything, however, that doesn't seem to be the case," I exclaimed.

"Yeah, me too," he replied. "Let's ask Chabashira-sensei further about this," he expressed, his voice being infuriated, by the school's nature.

As we were all standing, I heard the door opening as Chabashira-sensei entered the room.

"Ahem," said Chabashira-sensei, intentionally coughing, telling us to go back to our seats.

"Everyone, let's listen to Chabashira-sensei's explanation," I exclaimed, with a charismatic smile.

"Yeah…" I heard some girls muttering, as each one of us went to their seats.

Chabashira-sensei walked further, until she reached the teacher's podium, having a serious look in her eyes.

But suddenly she laughed. "Ahahaha, I never expected you guys to have so many Class Points remaining," she added, confirming my theory now. "I truly never thought it would be possible for Class D. I truly never did," she exclaimed.

"It's the first time for me since I'm teaching here," she continued. However, before she could speak further, Hirata took it wholeheartedly and raised his hand.

"What do you mean, Sensei?" he asked, questioning her.

"I think you all should have heard Kurushima-kun's theory about the S-System," she said. "Most thing's about his theory are true, but let me elaborate the S-System more thoroughly to all of you," she said, as she began with an explanation about the S-System thoroughly.

"Would you like to see the Class Points of the other classes?" she asked, wherein everyone agreed.

Class A – 950

Class B – 690

Class C – 593

Class D – 587

"I'm honestly satisfied, Class C," she exclaimed with a soft smile. However, upon that revelation, some of my classmates such as Yamauchi, Ike, and several else were completely surprised.

"Class C? For real, we're in Class C?" Ike exclaimed, his tone full of happiness.

"Haruki, we're in Class C," Ike exclaimed.

"Kanji, Kanji, Kanji, I anticipated this already," he responded.

"Haruki, weren't you also just surprised, upon us being Class C?" Ike asked, finally questioning Yamauchi's spouting nonsense.

"Kanji, an actor can't reveal himself. This is what I was taught in Hollywood," Yamauchi expressed.

"Hollywood?" Ike asked, in a doubtful tone.

Finally, it happens. "Haruki…"

"I never knew you were taught in Hollywood," Ike shouted through the classroom, completely in awe.

Nevermind, I should have simply ignored them.

"Damn idiots," Karuizawa-san muttered, alongside her group.

"Oy, what did Kurushima-kun and Hirata do to you?" Yamauchi asked.

"Yeah, yeah, what did they do? They might not be as good-looking as us, but you should appreciate them more, Karuizawa-san," Ike responded.

"Kei-chan, it's useless," Matsushita-san expressed. "They're complete idiots," she added, reassuring her.

"But, I can't just let them insult my friend and boyfriend," she exclaimed.

"I know," she said. "However, it won't bring you any further," she exclaimed.

"Tch, I know," she muttered, as she sat down on her seat again.

"Haruki, you showed that Tsundere your might," Ike said.

"Humph, of course, I'm Yamauchi Haruki after all," Yamauchi expressed.

"Ahem," Chabashira-sensei coughed, gaining our attention.

"From the looks of it, we have quite a few idiots in here," she said ambiguously, as she looked at Ike and Yamauchi while also attaching our test scores as she looked at the two bottom names, which were coincidentally Ike's and Yamauchi's.

"Kurushima-kun, where is your name…" Sato-san exclaimed, whilst her eyes were scanning the attached paper in the front.

"There," she exclaimed. However, instantly she shouted in shock and uproar. "You got a perfect score."

Instantly, I got the attention of everyone in the class, as they were looking at me. But before I could speak further, I saw Chabashira-sensei doing that.

"Firstly achieving a perfect score in the entrance exams and now one in the test," she exclaimed, making my classmates attentive on my entrance exams.

Honestly, I can't just say that both of these were so easy, that I was contemplating whether to score 99 Points, as my last mistake should be a grammar mistake by writing Chabashira-sensei's and the examiner's name false.

"Ah, you are embarrassing me, Chabashira-sensei," I responded.

"A perfect score in the entrance exams?" I heard Horikita shouting out in disbelief. "H-how?" she asked.

"Ahem, I'm gifted, I guess," I responded, leaving her question unanswered.

"Gifted?" she asked. "Didn't you and Koenji also break the current record in the fifty-meter freestyle swimming?" she exclaimed. "Is that also something gifted?"

"Horikita-girl, I think you are mistaken," Koenji exclaimed. "Neither Kurushima-boy nor I had the intention of breaking the record in the fifty-meter freestyle, we simply wanted to see who would be the better one amongst us," Koenji interrupted, not wanting her to cause an uproar over something trivial.

"Is that true, Kurushima-kun?" she asked, wherein I nodded in embarrassment.

"I c-can't believe it," she exclaimed, completely shocked.

Whilst everyone aside from me and Koenji had a shocked expression, I saw Ayanokoji simply looking at us curiously.

"Ahem," Chabashira-sensei interrupted the class once again. "I'm giving you guys just a last piece of advice," she expressed. "I would recommend choosing a leader, it surely will be beneficial to you," she exclaimed, as she walked out of the classroom.

"A leader?" Horikita-san asked, bewildered.

"Yeah, uh…that's what sensei just said," Ayanokoji replied, with his stoic voice.

"I heard her quite well. I didn't need you to repeat that for me," she expressed.

"Uh…sorry I guess," Ayanokoji replied, as the conversation ended between them.

Meanwhile, I also listened to another conversation.

"Matsushita-san, who do you think should be the leader of our class?" Sato-san asked.

"Ahm…I think it should be Kurushima-kun," she responded, getting the attention of almost everyone including me.

"Yeah, I think the same," she said.

However, suddenly Hirata also joined their conversation. "Both of you are completely right, I also feel like Kurushima-kun is made for being the leader," he exclaimed, alongside the majority of the class.

"Hirata-kun, don't you want to become the leader?" one girl asked him curiously.

"Me? I don't think I'm suited to be a leader," he expressed. "Besides, I think Kurushima-kun would suit more than me. Considering, that I wasn't aware of the school's nature, or even to a slight extent, I think I would make a bad job as a leader," he continued.

"I see," the girl answered, respectful of Hirata's choice.

"Karuizawa-san, which one do you support?" the same girl asked Karuizawa-san.

"Me? I would normally tend to my boyfriend, however, if he doesn't want that, I'm tending to my friend Kurushima," she expressed, as she engulfed her arms around Hirata's right arm.

"How about this class," Hirata said. "We'll write the name of the people whom we recommended and the person with the most votes becomes the leader. It would be fair for those, who aren't the best at expressing their opinions," he said, making everyone partaking in the choice of electing a leader.

"Is that alright with everyone?" Hirata asked, wherein everyone from the class confirmed how we decide the leader.

"Okay, let's start with the first one," he said. "I'm recommending Kurushima-kun," he exclaimed, as he has written down my name on the board.

"Those who want Kurushima-kun as the leader, please raise your hand," he exclaimed, as he raised his hand, alongside more than the majority of the class.

"Koenji-kun, you too?" Hirata exclaimed, as Koenji never really participated in anything relating to the class until now.

"Humph, besides him, I don't see anyone worthy of leading the class," Koenji expressed.

I looked to the seats behind me, to see Ayanokoji and Horikita also raising their hands.

"Kurushima, don't misunderstand," Horikita said. "I'm only choosing you because I think you're suitable for leading the class. Nothing more, nothing less," she exclaimed.

"I see," I answered. "Thank you, nonetheless, Horikita-san," I said, smiling at her.

"Humph," she exclaimed, looking away from me.

"Then that's decided with 39 votes," he said, as everyone aside from me was voting for me.

"Kurushima-kun, is that okay with you?" Hirata asked, his tone filled with worry, as he might think I'm pressured into becoming the leader.

"Yes, I'd be happy to do this," I exclaimed, accepting the burden of being the leader.

A/N: Note that Chabashira now has another person to entrust the class to, which is why she recommended the class choose a leader.

The next thing is Ryūen's class. Although I think many have realized why Ryuen's class has so much CP left, it's basically because Yamauchi was an idiot and told Ike that it was his own theory in the public while ignoring who might have been listening.

Damn...

Should I stop with my bullying arc against Ike and Yamauchi?

Maybe...

Well, I also made some adjustments to Class B with 690 CP and Class A with 690 CP.

Also, I am uploading again a double Chapter today. The other one will be in atleast twenty minutes out.
