"Saitama has already gone inside. You just need to deal with the ones outside. If any other monsters come out, you can handle them too. Although, most likely, none will be able to come out alive."
Asahi said with a smile. With Saitama's strength, the enemies were practically doomed. In the original work, the reason no other monsters came out was mostly because of Saitama. They had intended to come out but were met with Saitama at the door and got annihilated, including one of Boros's top three generals.
Now, as in the original, Saitama had entered the spaceship, so no other enemies were expected to emerge. Outside, there was just Melzargard, perfect for the other heroes to practice on.
"This guy looks pretty tough. Let me test him out first!"
Metal Bat rushed forward and swung his bat. The baseball bat in his hand is specially made, and of excellent quality. As the bat connected, Melzargardused its arm to block, only for the arm to be turned to mush.
Metal Bat was stunned by this, as he didn't expect the alien creature to be this weak. He wondered how could such a weakling claim to be a formidable force in the universe?
"Die!"
Melzargard didn't care about Metal Bat's thoughts and regenerated its arms, turning them into massive blades aimed at him. If Metal Bat got hit by it, the outcome would be fatal.
"Be careful, this guy seems to have regenerative abilities. As expected of an alien, even Zombie Man's regeneration can't match this!"
Atomic Samurai shouted as he slashed off Melzargard's blade arm, but even after being slashed, the creature's arms regenerated, producing even more blades.
Even so, Atomic Samurai, with his quick movements, managed to fend off these attacks.
"This guy dared to challenge me, go to hell!"
Metal Bat swung his bat again, smashing the creature's head. He assumed the head would be its weak spot. However, before he could react, the head regenerated and even produced several smaller versions of Melzargard.
Although these smaller versions were not as powerful as the main body, they still posed a significant threat and could cause trouble.
"His head regenerated even after being smashed? This is ridiculous!!!"
Metal Bat was somewhat frustrated. He wondered how were they supposed to defeat an opponent that couldn't be killed.
"By the way, a little tip for you all, this creature has several core-like structures inside its body, resembling glass beads. Destroying these cores will prevent it from regenerating. But be aware, these cores keep moving inside its body, so finding them can be quite challenging!"
Asahi reminded everyone at this moment. Due to Melzargard's tenacity and life force, revealing this secret basically sealed its fate.
"Damn it, how did that guy find out my secret?!"
Melzargard was shocked upon seeing its vital weakness had been exposed. The other heroes, upon hearing this, smiled confidently, ready to take action.
"Atomic Slash!"
Without wasting any time, Atomic Samurai used his ultimate move, slicing Melzargard into pieces. Among the fragments, a glass-like core became visible. With a swift slash, Atomic Samurai destroyed the core, and the creature that was supposed to regenerate turned into a lifeless puddle.
"It works! Everyone, go for the cores!"
Atomic Samurai encouraged the others after seeing this. Seeing the effectiveness of targeting the cores, the other heroes prepared to attack the remaining cores of Melzargard.
"Damn it, fire the cannons immediately!"
Melzargard was desperate. Cold sweat dripped down its face as it ordered the aliens on the spaceship to release a barrage of attacks. His plan now was to create enough chaos to escape, as the bombardment wouldn't destroy its core, giving him a chance to survive.
However, after all the muzzles glowed and the huge bullets were fired, a green light directly enveloped all the bullets.
"What the hell are you all doing? Just finish this guy off already! Do I have to clean up your mess?!"
Tatsumaki, controlling the bullets with her telekinesis, redirected them back at the spaceship. The entire bottom of the spaceship exploded with continuous blasts.
"Even the bombardment is useless? Damn it, it's all because of this guy! He hasn't done anything, so he must be weak. Die, bastard! If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me!"
The main body of Melzargard, determined and furious, charged directly at Asahi. Everyone who saw this scene was initially shocked, and then they were speechless again. They all knew that attacking Asahi, a being of god-level power, was courting death.
So now everyone is speechless, and after Melzargard reached Asahi, it barely had a moment to react before a blinding white light enveloped it, And then, his body disintegrated completely, including the remaining smaller clones.
There is no need to attack the cores, as the indiscriminate attack left nothing behind.
With Melzargard, one of Boros's top three generals, obliterated, the attention turned to the spaceship's interior. Saitama had entered but quickly got lost. After all, the spaceship is as large as a city, so it left him wandering aimlessly.
He originally planned to go to confront Boros, but because his sense of direction led him astray, he could only wander around constantly.
Saitama encountered numerous aliens on his way, all of whom were meant to reinforce the outer defense but met their end upon encountering him.
This included another of Boros's top generals, Groribas.
At this moment, with two of the three top generals down, only the last one, Geryuganshoop, is left. This guy possessed powerful esper abilities, formidable enough to potentially challenge Tatsumaki.
However, against Saitama, the situation played out differently. Like in the original work, this guy was directly fooled by Saitama. Don't underestimate Saitama.
Despite his usually simple demeanor, Saitama proved cunning at crucial moments. For example, he deceived Geryuganshoop, leading him directly to the main control room and subsequently defeating him.
