"I think it is time to show her. Would you like to see something interesting, Phoenix?" Lord Jagger had a serious expression on his face.
"Something interesting? What exactly are you speaking of?" I replied, feeling anxious.
Jagger got up and walked out of the room. In a few seconds, he came back in, holding a golden chalice that was filled with a liquid resembling wine. He sat down at the table and placed it in front of him. I caught a whiff of something in the air and felt a burning sensation in my throat. This time it was unbearable, as I gulped trying to soothe the pain. Where was this scent coming from? I sniffed the air deeply and trailed the scent to Lord Jagger's chalice. The family made no moves and only stared as my eyes went wide and I began to growl.
With lightning speed, I jumped onto the table and began gulping down the contents of the chalice before me. I felt thirstier than I had ever been in my life, I needed more of this liquid. I could feel the burning spread to my flesh. It was then I smelt a similar substance. This scent was coming from Lord Jagger's body. I shifted my position to face him, staring at him with need. He rolled up his sleeve and held out his arm to me. "Drink" I heard him whisper. That was all it took for me to sink my teeth into his forearm and suck greedily.
Jagger grunted as he stroked my hair gently. I couldn't help but groan as the warm liquid coursed down my throat. This liquid differed greatly from the one in the cup as it was thicker and sweeter. The taste of it sent me into a feverish state. I could not help but gulp it down in large amounts. I was in pure ecstasy as the burning faded and left behind pleasure that felt as if it would consume my entire being. Jagger pulled me onto his lap with his other hand. He held tightly onto my waist in what looked like an attempt to keep my body under control. This pressed me further down on his lap, causing me to feel something large rub against the area between my legs. This only added more to the intense pleasure I felt. This moment was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I needed to feel so much more and so I began to roll my hips back and forth. I threw my arms around his neck and sucked even more as I moaned at the taste of him and the feel of him beneath me. "Slow down Phoenix", he spoke in a breathy voice. This snapped me out of my frenzy and I stared at him for a second before pulling away. I jumped off his lap in fright.
"What was that?! What have I done?!" I screamed and shook in horror.
I was now kneeling on the floor, clutching my throat and stomach. I felt disgusted at my actions and wanted nothing more than to take back that moment. How could I possibly have done something like that and enjoyed it? It was then that I felt someone pick me up. I looked up and staring at me was Lord Jagger. He held me in his arms and sat down once more. He cradled me like an infant and wiped my tears that began to fall. "SHHH... you have done no wrong. This is natural for you, Phoenix".
"Indeed, it is her my dear son. She has awoken" Duke Bellamy spoke in a calm tone. Jagger nodded in agreement.
"I think it is best to take her to the room until she calms down, son. You know what to do", Duchess Kathandra spoke in a soft voice. Jagger still held me tenderly in his arms as I stared blankly at the ceiling above. My body was present but my mind wasn't as I was unable to fathom what I had just done. "You are calm and shall no longer fret" he spoke, staring deeply into my eyes. As if a wave hit me, I broke out of my dazed state. "Lord Jagger, Forgive me, I beg of you. I do not know what came over me" I spoke with a slurred expression as if drunk. "SHHH.....I will take you to your room", he stood up and started walking away with me. "Do you think that she'll be able to handle this mother?" Victoria asked. "Dearest she can handle more than any of us. You have seen it for yourself, have you not?" Kathandra replied. "I, for one, think that she will need time to process this entire thing. Do you not remember what happened to us when we first fed mother?" Hunter spoke in a nonchalant manner. "I remember very well, son, but she is not of our type. The Grand Elder is that way by birthright and she shall show it in exceptional ways". No one seemed the slightest bit worried or surprised by the situation I had just caused. I could hear them so easily as if I were still seated at the table.
Jagger walked up the steps in what seemed like minutes and into the room from earlier and put me down on the bed. I was staring at him with curiosity and shame burning throughout my body. "You brought me here knowing this would happen did you not?" I asked biting my lip. He simply stared at me with a blank expression. "None of you seemed surprised by my actions. I demand to know what is going on. What am I?!" I felt myself getting more frustrated. "Would you like to hear a story, Phoenix?" Jagger asked as if he was avoiding my questions. I got up from bed and sauntered toward him. I grabbed his collar and tossed him onto the bed and climbed atop him, grabbing his throat. He smiled at me, giving me a look of adoration. Is he enjoying this right now? I took a moment to process my actions and immediately I felt frightened. What is happening to me right now? Where is this strength coming from? I needed answers, so I removed my hand and got off him. I sat at the edge of the bed and asked "What happened to me, Lord Jagger? Why did I just do that and why are you acting as if all of this is normal?". "Would you like to hear a story?" Jagger sat down beside me and asked once more with a small smile playing on his lips. "Can you not hear me?" I asked feeling frustrated.
Lord Jagger noticed this and looked at me with a raised eyebrow as if he was awaiting my reply. "Apparently, it seems I have no other choice than to listen to you". I let out a sigh and gave up on asking questions. I felt far too drained emotionally to ask anything more. "There once was a happy family that lived in a big castle. It consisted of a mother, a father, two sons, and a daughter. Every day was like a party, filled with joyous moments and comfort. The family was the wealthiest in their entire village and lacked anything problematic. They were the ones that were in charge of running the village. However, with wealth comes greed, whether it be from the people who possess wealth and crave more or the envious people that surround those who are wealthy. The family's financial adviser was jealous of the way they had lived. He wanted everything that they had but would never be able to achieve that unless he had a plan, a plan to take everything for himself". A quick look of anger flashed across his face. Jagger then regained a neutral expression after looking at me. I realized that this story would not be as pleasant as the ones my mother told at late nights to help me sleep. "Lord Jagger, why are you telling a story like this? What does this have to do with me?" I asked. "I am telling this story simply because it needs to be told", he replied. I did not understand how deep the meaning of his words ran, but I was intent on finding out. I nodded and waited for him to continue.
"He had known them for many years but still that bore no weight on his heart. He was a cold man that cared for no one but himself. Though he surely did a great job of pretending to care as he collected information on each one of them and the castle structure. He had been plotting for years, awaiting the perfect moment to act. One day, the family's eldest son went looking for him around the castle because his father instructed him to. The son went to the man's room and knocked but heard no reply. He knocked once more and the door creaked open. The adviser had left his door unlocked and the son went in calling out to him. There was no one in the room but the objects in it spoke for themselves. The walls were covered in charts about the family's weaknesses and the different areas of the castle that no one visited at certain periods. However, the books scattered on the floor were the most interesting. They were journals documenting several different ways to murder the family and take away their possessions. Some large books stood on the bookshelves in a disorganized way. The son picked up one of them and looked through it only to find that the advisor had been stealing money from them for the past few years" Jagger paused, noticing my breathing growing heavier by the second.
He stroked my hair in an attempt to calm me but I shook my head. "Lord Jagger, must you tell this sort of story? I feel as if I want to rip that horrible man to pieces, yet I do not know him. Why is that?" I asked, feeling rage building within my body. The heat I had felt many times before returned and this time it burned through not only my flesh but my veins. "Ahhhhh!!" I screamed, ripping at my dress. It felt as if I was in a pot of boiling water and the many layers of clothes only kept the heat a prisoner against my skin. I began to rapidly rip each article of clothing from my body. In an attempt to stop me, Jagger grabbed my hands and threw me onto the bed, being as gentle as he could. He pinned both my hands down and climbed atop me. "Look at me Phoenix! You are okay, you just need to calm down. It's breaking in much sooner than I thought it would. I am sorry". I looked into his eyes and immediately melted into a pool of calmness under his gaze. "What just happened to me? Am I possibly going mad?" I asked, feeling my body still. "You will find out after I finish my story, now would you like me to continue?" Jagger asked. "Please do and hurry to finish it," I said, feeling anxious.
