The elders of the Phoenix Clan had just finished informing the Masters and Students about the full extent of Souryu's power. The Masters and Students appeared to be deep in thought.
"I see, so the Banes and Verns possess the capacity to nullify Souryu's 'Flames Of Indignation' through their Fortitude and Kindness respectively" Harry thought.
"And the Fenix Clan which possesses the Eyes Of The Phoenix and are gifted with the ability to see what is invisible to most, aligned closely with the element of Light which connotes Truth possess the ability to point out Souryu's vulnerabilities" Josec thought deeply.
"Not to mention the fact that the Psychorage Fusion and Improvisation were originally invented to combat Souryu's wide scale debilitating terrain alteration abilities. I can now see why we've had to undergo so many classes here in the Hidden Phoenix Village" Buern noted.
"Unfortunately, the only thing that stands between now and Souryu attaining his full strength is the last remaining undefeated general, Syren" Master Luna said.
"You're right, we'll have to face Syren eventually but at the same time, we'll have to prepare ourselves for any form of attack Souryu may be planning against us" Master Fencer said.
"But we can't afford to be rash. Any suspicious moves made by us especially anything significant enough to trigger Souryu's suspicions may be the trigger for any form of attack Souryu may be mounting against us" Master Andrea said.
"You're right" the other Masters agreed.
"In other words, we need to find a way to scout the physical world discreetly" Master Kyem said.
"Yes, a scouting technique that will not require us to make any significant movements in the physical world and thus draw Souryu's attention" Master Ayumi said.
"Actually with regards to that, we might have a solution" the elders of the Phoenix Clan said.
"A solution, really?" the Masters asked.
"Yes, a few months ago, it might probably have been impractical but now that the 'Joki Sharing' and 'Psychorage Fusion Improvisation by Augmented Projection' are fully functional and integrated into our Books Of Jo-lan, this might actually be the most reasonable course of action" William Fenix said.
"How do the new functionalities factor into this solution?" Harry asked.
"You might have realized by now that thanks to the Psychorage Fusion Improv. by Augmented Projection, it is now possible to activate and control a Psychorage remotely?" Lucas Bane said.
(Note: In talking about controlling a Psychorage remotely, the elders are not referring to the sentient mythical beasts called 'Psychorages' but rather the fighting technique that allows Jo-lan Warriors who fuse their joki to assume a powerful form. It is this form gained from merging joki that is controlled remotely).
The others nodded.
"Psychorages that can be controlled remotely can play a tremendous role in scouting for enemies" Victoria Vern said.
"Yes, that's true. However, if we began scouting the physical world with remotely controlled Psychorages, that would be plenty suspicious in itself" Harry said.
"That's true...under normal circumstances" Lucas Bane said.
"What do you mean?" Harry asked.
"You should have realized from viewing various indexes within your Books Of Jo-lan that the realm within the Book Of Jo-lan is cloaked within various layers or depths called 'realities' or 'dimensions'. That is how you can still be transported into the Book Of Jo-lan while still in the Hidden Phoenix Village" Victoria Vern explained.
"Harry mentioned something like that while we viewed our Common History" Buern said.
"Well, there are some realities within the Book Of Jo-lan that parallel events currently occurring within the physical world. By observing these parallel realities here, we would be more or less scouting the locations within the real world that parallel the reality being observed from within the Book Of Jo-lan" Lucas Bane explained.
"It's more or less what we explained to you earlier about extrasensory perception. The fact that matching an ally's joki at exactly the same wavelength grants one the ability to perceive everything the ally does" William Fenix explained.
"I see. In other words, we can scout the physical world by observing the parallel realities occuring within the Book Of Jo-lan. This can be done through the Psychorage Fusion Improvisation by Augmented Projection" Master Fencer realized what the elders of the Phoenix Clan were getting at.
"I'll inform the Phoenix Clan of this plan and have the new scouting technique integrated into the Mutating Several Layered Zone Of Absolute Defense" Lucas Bane said.
The other two elders of the Phoenix Clan nodded.
"You can spend some time enjoying the Hidden Phoenix Village. When the time comes that we'll need to prepare you for your battle against Syren and in the worst case Souryu, you'll hear from us" William Fenix said.
The Masters Of Jo-lan and the Students nodded and walked away. Over the next few days, the elders of the Phoenix Clan through the Joki Sharing index informed the Phoenix Clan about the plan to scout the physical world by scanning parallel realities within the Book Of Jo-lan through the Psychorage Fusion Improvisation by Augmented Projection.
