Chapter 90 - EPISODE 85: DUAL AND DELTA TYPE TECHNIQUES PART VI: THE PSYCHORAGE FUSION PART I: BASICS

Finally, the Students found themselves back in class. It was a new day. They had spent what seemed like years in the Book Of Jo-lan farming the Desert Of Confusion however they hadn't aged one bit. Time hadn't really passed since they entered the Book of Jo-lan however there were 'days' in the Book Of Jo-lan as well as seasons. These days however had no effect on the physical growth of the Students however they had grown immensely in terms of knowledge and experience.

Josec, Harry and Buern were enjoying their time as Students once more since it was reminiscent of the time they spent in Ferus Village before they had to flee their home. They, as well as Jason and Estelle also enjoyed especially, their time with Fleur. Fleur occasionally left the realm within the Book Of Jo-lan to care for Yggdrasil, the great tree.

Though Josec, Harry, Buern, Jason and Estelle were glad and knew that no time had passed in the physical world ever since they entered the Book of Jo-lan, they occasionally wondered how things were in the physical world. Once they arrived in the physical world, they'd have to begin making preparations to confront Raichuu, Souryu's most unpredictable general.

That day however, they sat in class wondering what their lesson for the day would be centred on. Ken entered the class as soon as it was time for classes to begin. The Students exchanged greetings with him before classes began.

"Today, we will be studying the basics of the Psychorage Fusion. Now that you've all succeeded in Farming the Desert Of Confusion, this lesson should be much easier to understand" Ken said.

The Students were all excited once more. From the moment they had begun to study Dual and Delta Combo Techniques, they instinctively knew that their lessons would eventually lead to the Psychorage Fusion, one of the greatest, if not the greatest of the Jo-lan Arts.

"I'm certain most of you if not all of you know what the Psychorage Fusion is" Ken said.

Most of the Students nodded, some on the other hand looked confused. Ken noticed the looks of confusion on the faces of those unfamiliar with the subject.

"Do not worry, the Psychorage Fusion is a Delta Type Technique and if you understood my lesson on Dual and Delta Type Techniques especially the lesson on Wavelengths, Amplification, Catalyst and Transformation Delta Type Techniques, this lesson shouldn't be much difficult" Ken said.

The Students began to relax a bit more.

"The Psychorage Fusion is an advanced psychorage technique where multiple people come together to assume the form of a single powerful Psychorage" Ken explained as he searched the Students' faces for signs of understanding.

So far, it appeared all the Students understood what he was saying.

"There are two types or methods of Psychorage Fusion. The first method is where a single person generates the form, a mental image of the Psychorage and synchronizes this image with the members of his or her party thus allowing the party to assume this form through Psychoraging and thus inherit the properties and abilities of the Psychorage whose form was generated. Psychoraging through this method is thus called 'Psychorage Fusion by Projection'" Ken explained.

"I see. In our battles against Apollo and Gargolem, Josec generated the forms of Torpedo and Rikishin through his Eye Of The Heart and since we were all synched through Master Colette's abilities, the form flowed into our minds through our telepathic bond allowing us all to assume this form through psychoraging. We've been employing the Psychorage Fusion by Projection all along" Buern realized.

She stared at Josec, Harry, Jason and Estelle. They seemed to have instinctively realized this as well.

"Then there is the second method of Psychorage Fusion. This method is not dependent on a preconceived form. In this method, one never knows for sure the final outcome of a Psychorage Fusion until the Psychorage is completed. The final form is dependent on the current ability of the members of one's party. This method of Psychorage Fusion augments all the abilities of one's party to generate offensive or defensive forms as well as unique characteristics or affinities dependent on the abilities of the members of one's party. This art of Psychorage Fusion is thus known as 'The Psychorage Fusion by Augmentation'. The variations of forms the party can achieve increase in variation as members of the party increase in experience and skill, thus this is a more malleable method of Psychorage Fusion" Ken explained. "From this moment on, you will practice the Psychorage Fusion in your various teams. I've inspected all your teams. It appears you all instinctively formed teams composed of at least a Fenix, a Bane and a Vern. That is good. The Fenixes excel at foresight so they could act as the ones in your party that generate the form in case you decide to fuse Psychorages through Projection. The Banes also naturally excel at coordination so they could act as the link that transmits the form of a fusion Psychorage. All Banes also naturally possess the ability of telepathic synchronization, an ability inherited from their ancestor, Lucas Bane's original bond with Hieron" Ken explained.

"Do you have such an ability Harry?" Josec whispered.

Harry shook his head.

"This is the first time I've heard of it. My dad never mentioned it, Hieron seldom talks about it and the Masters never mentioned it as well. It most likely is an ability that has been dormant within the Bane Clan for centuries" Harry reasoned.

"I do not know the properties of telepathic synchronization possessed by the Bane Clan but I have fought in many battles with comrades I love and respect and can tell you this for certain that there are many ways to communicate one's intentions to one's comrades than through words alone. Telepathic communication requires a great ability to communicate one's feelings and thoughts through one's body and surroundings however it also requires a listening ear to perceive an ally's intent to communicate. You can learn one fact from the design of the human body and one's nervous systems…that humans were designed…to listen" Ken said.

The Students seemed slightly puzzled. It seemed to them that Ken was communicating on a more emotional level than he usually did.

"That is all" Ken said.
