RYUGAEIA'S HISTORY PART XI: WISE ONE OF THE UNISON COURTS
The remaining dragons had gathered at the Eternal Dragon Temple. It was a sacred place that floated in the skies of Ryugaeia however it was so high up in the sky and protected by a holy barrier so it could not be seen. It was the place where the dragons usually met to reminisce about the past and talk about the future. It was also the resting place for Alpha, the Sovereign Dragon Lord Of Light. The Dragons were excited because Alpha who had remained asleep since the death of Jinrai the Lightning Blade, was beginning to awaken.
"What is going on Draco? Why were we summoned?" Marina asked.
"Is it true that HE has finally begun to awaken after all these years?" Inferno asked.
"That's not quite right Inferno. Alpha hasn't begun to awaken. HE HAS ALREADY AWAKENED!" Draco declared.
There were murmurs among the dragons.
"What does this mean? Why has he chosen this time to awaken? It just doesn't make sense" Terra said worriedly.
"I understand your worries my loyal subjects and I do admit that I've awakened prematurely. It was my intention and fate to awaken in the next two years however…I had a vision of a terrifying future. It is a vision so dreadful that I had no choice but to awaken now and avert it" a powerful voice said as Alpha the Sovereign Dragon Lord Of Light walked down the stairs that led from the holiest chamber of the Temple.
"What was this vision O Great Alpha"
"Tell us your majesty" the Dragons asked anxiously.
237
"It was a vision in which the Dragonhaӓrt…was destroyed and we ceased to exist" Alpha said solemnly.
The other dragons gasped in horror.
Meanwhile, in the Kira residence, Aurora had finished setting the table for breakfast. She called Darak and Mistress Kira down to eat. As they sat down to eat, Mistress Kira asked Aurora about her plans for the day.
"It is Alpha's day, the day of truth. If you've got any questions to ask anybody, I suggest you do it today" Mistress Kira said.
"Do you really believe in the power of each day?" Darak asked.
"Terra's day was the day of hope and that was the day you and Reis renewed our hope in the future so how can you not believe?" Mistress Kira questioned Darak.
"I do believe. I did ever since I noticed that I always felt more courageous on Dragnarӧk's day" Darak admitted.
"How are you feeling today Darak?" Aurora asked.
"Yesterday I thought you were just being cruel but today I feel way better. Thanks for asking" Darak said.
"I'm planning to visit Reis right after breakfast. It was really thoughtless of me not to visit him yesterday. I hope he isn't offended" Aurora said worriedly.
"Actually, I doubt it has even crossed his mind yet" Darak said with a slight chuckle.
"So how are things between you and Erasa?" Darak asked.
"She has already apologized and I think I've forgiven her" Aurora said.
"Think? That's not very encouraging" Darak sighed.
"Well what can I say, she really hurt my feelings" Aurora said as she stood up.
238
"Darak, could you please clear the table for me. I'll be leaving now with your permission Mistress Kira" Aurora said.
"Jeez, you sound so formal. How many times have I told you to call me 'Aunt' or even 'Elder sis'. It gets so tiring to constantly hear you call me 'Mistress'" Mistress Kira sighed.
"I think Captain will do" Darak suggested.
"That's better. You have my permission to leave Aurora but be back before lunch okay?" Mistress Kira said.
"Aurora, I might come by later" Darak said.
"But first, you will finish your assignments. I'm sure Aurora's finished hers already right Aurora?" Mistress Kira questioned.
"Yes, I have" Aurora said.
"What makes you think I haven't done my assignments?" Darak complained.
"I know you Darak. You prioritize your training over your assignments. When will you understand that both are equally important?" Mistress Kira said seriously.
"She caught me. Anyways, it will be easy to do my assignments now that Aurora's completed hers. I just have to use my ultimate secret technique and it doesn't even require a sword. I call it…THE PHOTOMEMORIC EYES DARAK ULTRA DELUXE COPYCAT TECHNIQUE!" Darak thought with an evil glare in his eyes.
"Oh and don't even dream of copying Aurora's work" Mistress Kira threatened.
"You knew?!" Darak said with a disappointed look on his face.
Aurora laughed and walked away. As she walked along the road that led past Dragon High to the Ayenhayze residence, she began to think about Sir Jinrai and her promise.
239
"It's been so long and I've never even met Jinrai's son. I wonder if I'll ever be able to meet him. And even if I do meet him, what am I going to do?" Aurora asked herself.
As she thought of all this, she came across Old Lady Kamikaze trying to lift a heavy load.
"Can I help you with that?" Aurora offered.
"Oh no no no. I could never ask you to lift something as heavy as this. If you ended up hurting yourself, Reis would never forgive me" Old Lady Kamikaze said worriedly.
"Why do you say that?" Aurora asked.
"I see how he looks at you. Those are definitely the eyes of someone in love and you look at him in the same way" Old Lady Kamikaze said.
"You must be mistaken Madam Kamikaze" Aurora said respectfully.
"You can't deny it. Your lips say one thing, your eyes say another and it's obvious to me which is the one capable of telling lies. A word of advice to you Aurora, denying your true feelings will bring nothing but a lifetime of regret" Old Lady Kamikaze said.
Aurora seemed to think deeply on her words.
"I insist on helping you" Aurora said as she struggled to lift the load.
"I guess I can't refuse your help. Our destination is Kamikaze Restaurant. Be careful not to drop the crate. It contains breakables" Old Lady Kamikaze cautioned.
Soon, they arrived at Kamikaze restaurant. Aurora was really tired but she tried her best not to drop the crate. When they entered the restaurant, Diane came to relieve her of the crate. Aurora sighed and sat down on one of the tables.
240
"I see you've totally exhausted your energy. How do you wish to be rewarded for your kindness?" Old Lady Kamikaze questioned her.
"I don't want anything in return but thanks for asking really" Aurora said earnestly.
Old Lady Kamikaze smiled.
"I know just how to reward you. How would you like it if I foretold your future?" Old Lady Kamikaze said with a happy laugh.
"Can you really do that?" Aurora asked in surprise.
"Of course I can. In fact, the Dragonlord asks me for advice before making any important decisions" Old Lady Kamikaze said proudly.
"I'd really like to know my fortune" Aurora said excitedly.
"Then follow me to the back room" Old Lady Kamikaze instructed.
When they were in the back room, Old Lady Kamikaze instructed Aurora to sit down.
"So Aurora, tell me, which aspect of your future do you want me to foretell?" Old Lady Kamikaze asked.
"There is just one thing I need to know. I used to know a certain man. He was really kind. He protected me from an evil warlord called Galigaos when I was only a child. He asked me to look after his son but…I've never met his son. To make matters worse…I feel like I've betrayed him because…I've fallen in love with someone else" Aurora said with a look of guilt on her face.
"So you want me to locate this man's son? That's quite easy. Just shut your eyes. All I need to do is find your memories of this man and link them to his son" Old Lady Kamikaze instructed.
Aurora nodded and shut her eyes.
241
Old Lady Kamikaze placed her hands on Aurora's head and shut her eyes. Memories of Aurora's past began to fill her mind. She saw young Aurora travelling with a man with silver hair and blue eyes. She paused her memory scanning technique and tried to peer into the man's mind. That was her special ability. She could look into the mind of any person within another's memories. When she tried to access the man's memories, instead of seeing the past, her mind travelled to the future. She saw an army of creatures that looked like dragons assaulting the Rangers' guild. She saw an evil man she recognized. He wore crimson armour and had sparkling blonde hair with evil crimson eyes. As she watched the scene, the evil man was soon engaged in a battle with a teenage boy. She identified the boy as Reis. As they fought, the evil man clashed blades with Reis and stabbed him through the heart.
"REIS!" she heard Aurora's desperate scream.
Then she saw the sky darken and saw all the remaining dragons explode in a burst of flame. The last dragon to die was Alpha. Old Lady Kamikaze saw the Rangers' Guild in ruins. Everyone was wiped out including herself. Aurora was stabbed by the evil swordsman.
"Finally, no one stands in the way of lord Devilli" the evil man said.
Aurora struggled to crawl over to where Reis lay. Reis was dead. Aurora crawled over to him and placed her head on his chest.
"I'm sorry Reis. I never got the chance to tell you how much…I loved you. And to think I lost you just when I discovered that you were the one I've always been searching for…Jinrai's son. Reis…I love you" Aurora struggled to say.
As Old Lady Kamikaze watched, black energy shot out from Reis' body and assumed the form of a massive black dragon.
"Finally! After centuries of being sealed! I'm free to have my vengeance! It's a pity Aurora that you didn't live to see my glory!" the Dragon said.
"Armageddon!" Aurora exclaimed in fear.
242
The black dragon opened its mouth.
"Turn to dust Aurora Saggeese!" the dragon roared and blasted her with intense flames.
She held unto Reis' hand until the very end.
Old Lady Kamikaze opened her eyes in shock and fear. Aurora opened her eyes and stared at her.
"What did you see?" she asked.
"Horror! Oh the awful horror! It's the end of the world! Aurora, the person you seek is closer than you think! You must protect him! If he dies, the world will be destroyed. Aurora, don't hide your true feelings or you won't live to regret it" Lady Kamikaze said.
Aurora stared at her in fear.
"I need to see the Dragonlord. Aurora, you can leave now" Old Lady Kamikaze said firmly.
Meanwhile in the Ayenhayze residence, Reis and Shin were already up.
"Where were you last night? You came home really late. Kyla and Master Jin nearly fried the house in anger" Reis asked curiously.
"Hee hee hee" Shin laughed slyly.
"I hope you didn't do anything ridiculous" Reis said.
"You can't guess what happened to me yesterday" Shin said happily.
"What happened? Lemme guess, Erasa found out the truth and fell in love with you is that it?" Reis wondered.
"Even better! She was in love with me before I even told her the truth" Shin said.
243
"That's great! Come here boy! You sly devil!" Reis teased as he caught Shin's head under his armpits and rubbed his hair.
"Okay Okay I get it, I'm a lucky guy. How are things between you and Aurora?" Shin asked.
"I confessed my feelings to her but…she…well…she seems to like me but…I'm not sure she feels the same way" Reis said sadly.
"Don't worry Reis. If Aurora doesn't end up falling in love with you then nothing in this world will surprise me anymore. Just be patient, I had to wait five years for Erasa to finally notice me" Shin said.
"Thanks Shin, I'll wait for her" Reis said.
Meanwhile in the Kira Residence, Darak was struggling with his homework.
"Of all the useless, ridiculous, overrated, sentimental crap…WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO COMPOSE A LOVE POEM?!" he roared angrily.
"Remember Darak, just let your feelings flow" he recalled Mistress Kira's hint.
"Okay, let's see…let my feelings flow…okay…I'm getting something…yes…it's coming…it's coming…oh crap! I lost it!" he complained. "Damn! This is overly ridiculous! Can you imagine me…a ninja! A whole Vung-jya spirit of flame composing a love poem?! Not only is it ridiculous, it's degrading!" he roared and shut his book. "I have two choices, I either attempt to copy Aurora's homework or sneak out of the house" he murmured. "Sheesh! Why should I even bother with homework, I'll sneak out" he said as he looked at the window.
He walked to the window and saw Mistress Kira training.
"Damn! She's training right outside my window that sly fox!" he muttered.
244
"Alright, if she wants to corner me that way, I have no choice but to sneak into Aurora's room and copy her homework" Darak said as he walked out of his room to Aurora's door and attempted to open it but the door was locked.
"She locked the door now did she? Well I'll just have to pick the lock" he chuckled slightly and removed a hairpin from his pocket.
He placed the pin in the lock and smiled.
"Haha! I've got it!" he said as the lock clicked.
Darak turned the knob and sighed.
"If I know that sly fox really well, she's probably sprung a trap for me in Aurora's room. I'll have to be cautious" Darak gulped and opened the door fully but boy was a surprise waiting for him or what?
"Hello Darak, I suspected you'd try to copy Aurora's homework…I'll just have to teach you a lesson" Mistress Kira said with a sly smile as she cracked her knuckles.
"Ba-ba-ba-but how are you here? You were outside my window" Darak stammered.
"Take a good guess" Mistress Kira said with a frightening look as she approached Darak.
Darak gulped.
"Is she going to give me…the 'fist from heaven?'" he wondered.
Then he noticed the open window behind her.
"If I can evade her…I'll be able to make it to the window and escape" he thought desperately.
"Well…Darak…are you ready to receive…" Mistress Kira was saying as she squeezed her fist tightly.
"Not now…I must look for the right moment" Darak thought.
245
"The fist…"
"Not now" Darak thought.
"…from"
"Not now"
"Heaven?" Mistress Kira said as she raised her arm.
"NOW!" Darak screamed as he ducked under Mistress Kira's raised arm and dived through the window.
"DARAK IGNIS! GET YOURSELF BACK HERE OR THERE'LL BE CONSEQUENCES!" Mistress Kira roared angrily.
"I'll take my chances!" Darak yelled back as he summoned Dragnarӧk and flew away.
"I don't think it's such a good idea to make Kira angry" Dragnarӧk advised.
"Shut up Dragnarӧk. That's what she gets for being an overbearing mother" Darak said with a smile.
"Where to Darak?" Dragnarӧk asked.
"Where else? To my eternal rival of course!" Darak said.
"Darak, I hope you're not thinking of fighting. I haven't fully recovered from my share of wounds and it's too early to fight. Besides, Alpha's day is a Holy Day. It's the day God defeated the king of lies" Dragnarӧk said.
"You mean Armageddon?" Darak asked.
"Yes, you should respect this day" Dragnarӧk said.
"Fine, I won't fight today" Darak gave up the idea.
Meanwhile Reis was in the bathroom taking a cool shower.
246
"Ah, I feel much better. That Darak sure is annoying. All he thinks about is surpassing me. Why is it so important to him? I'd say he's already as strong as I am" Reis said.
Almost immediately after he had said that, he heard a knock.
"I'm in here!" he called out.
"Reis you have a visitor!" he heard Kyla's voice call out to him.
"It's Aurora" Kyla said.
"Aurora? Tell her I'll be with her soon and please don't mention the fact that I'm in here" Reis pleaded.
"Okay, if you say so" Kyla said as she went downstairs.
Reis quickly turned off the shower and towelled himself, then he teleported to his room. In a flash, he was clothed in a red T-shirt and dark grey baggy trousers.
"Aurora huh? This is the first time she has visited me. I wonder why she came here?" Reis said as he tried to comb his hair in order to look good but he eventually decided that his best look was his everyday look.
He rushed out of the room but he didn't want to seem to be in a hurry to see Aurora so he took his time walking down the stairs. When he entered the hall, he saw Aurora sitting on a chair and nervously fidgeting with her handkerchief.
"Aurora" he called gently.
She turned around quickly. She seemed jumpy. She stared at Reis in surprise. She had never seen him dressed so casually. She had only seen him either in Ranger uniform or in his tattered clothes. It began to dawn on her that she had not really taken the time to notice how handsome Reis was. She stared unblinkingly at him and actually began to blush.
"Aurora, are you alright?" Reis asked worriedly and approached her slowly.
She moved backwards in surprise and nearly stumbled.
247
Aurora looked away.
"I'm really sorry Reis" she said.
"For what?" he asked her.
"I'm sure you really felt bad yesterday. After your battle with Darak, you could barely speak or move. I should have visited you yesterday" Aurora apologized.
"You don't need to feel guilty. Kyla really took care of my wounds" Reis said with a nervous laugh.
"Oh she did, didn't she?" Aurora said.
There was a trace of jealousy in her voice.
"Yeah she did. It was really painful. I'm glad you weren't here yesterday" Reis said.
"Oh you are, aren't you?" Aurora's jealousy was becoming plain.
"You'd have heard me cry like a sissy. Kyla's a really great sis" Reis said innocently.
"And you only see her as a sister?" Aurora said in an attempt to hide her jealousy.
"What else do you think I'd see her as? We're like really close siblings" Reis said.
Aurora sighed in relief.
"Aurora would you like a glass of water?" Reis asked worriedly.
He noticed Aurora's uneasiness.
"Yes thank you" Aurora said.
Reis rushed to the kitchen and fetched a glass of water for Aurora. He returned to her and handed the glass to her. She picked it from the tray and drank it hurriedly. Reis laughed at how quickly she emptied the glass. Aurora felt irritated. She didn't like the idea of Reis laughing at her.
"Why are you laughing?" she glared at him angrily.
248
Reis noticed her glare and stopped laughing.
"I just remembered the day I performed that reckless eating trick in the restaurant and nearly choked. You saved my life that day with a glass of water. I knew from that day that…I'd never love any girl…as much as I love you" Reis said gently.
Aurora tried to conceal her joy but her smile was like a light that could not be hidden.
"Uh…um Kyla? Would you mind sparring with me today? I haven't had any serious training since our last mission" Shin said.
Kyla knew what Shin was getting at so she agreed and they left Aurora and Reis alone.
"Aurora, you're not saying anything" Reis felt uncomfortable with her silence.
"I-I don't know what to say" Aurora said shyly.
"Let's take a walk. It wouldn't be right to remain alone with you in this place" Reis said with a nervous laugh.
Aurora agreed so they left the Ayenhayze residence. They walked for a while in silence, each one feeling strangely shy to speak with the other. Reis held Aurora's hand. She glanced at his hand but said nothing.
"Aurora, don't hide your true feelings or you won't live to regret it" Aurora recalled Old Lady Kamikaze's words.
"Aurora…is there any special reason you chose to visit me today? It's a bit uncharacteristic of you" Reis asked.
"I was worried about you" Aurora said.
She turned away from Reis so that he couldn't see how hard she was struggling with herself.
249
"Aurora…I told you everything about myself but I know almost nothing about you" Reis said.
Aurora stopped walking and turned to face Reis. There were tears in her eyes. Reis was worried.
"I'm sorry if I offended you Aurora. I'll never ask about your past again" Reis said.
Aurora smiled.
"Don't worry, it's about time I told someone about my past" she said.
"Don't feel like you have to. If you don't wish to tell me…I won't bother you" Reis said sincerely.
"I want you to know who I am. I want you to know everything about me…the real me" Aurora said.
"I'm listening" Reis said.
"I am Aurora Saggeese, daughter of King Hiram Saggeese and heiress to the Saggeesian throne by the will of my father" Aurora confessed.
Reis stared at her in shock.
"What are you saying Aurora? That would make you…the long lost Saggeesian Princess" Reis said in surprise.
Aurora proceeded to narrate to Reis, the events surrounding her birth, Galigaos' attack and she and Jared's rescue by Jinrai the Lightning Blade as well as their journeys around Saggeese, her swordsmanship lessons with Jinrai and she and Jared's arrival at the Guild.
Reis stared at her in sorrow. He had an angry look on his face. Aurora noticed it.
"I can understand if you hate me now for the sorrow I caused you when you first arrived in this guild" Aurora said sadly.
250
"How can I hate you Aurora? I feel angry, yes but not at you but…Erikkus Di Devilli. He actually turned the whole of Saggeese against you but…Aurora, don't you see it's all according to Armageddon's design?" Reis said sadly.
"What do you mean?" Aurora asked him.
Reis approached her till they stood face to face.
"Your hatred for Saggeese, Saggeese's hatred for Novatio and Novatio's distrust of Saggeese. Armageddon is turning humans against one another. The Dragons cannot protect us like they did before if humans themselves cannot unite behind one another. The pivot of all this however is your hatred for Saggeese. Only your bloodline can unify Saggeese and Novatio behind the Holy Saggeesian Blades" Reis explained.
Aurora stared at the ground.
"Please don't Reis. Not when I finally learnt to love one person from Saggeese. Don't ask me to stop hating Saggeese" Aurora said as tears flowed down her face.
"I won't. Saggeese took Jared away from you, as well as your parents. I can't ask you to stop hating Saggeese but…I will teach you to love Saggeese! I won't rest until the day you can say, 'I love my homeland!'" Reis said as he wiped Aurora's tears with his thumbs.
Aurora stared at him in surprise and began to weep.
"Don't worry, I will be with you every step of the way! I will turn this world upside down to make Saggeese love you…and I won't let anyone, not even Armageddon hurt you because…I love you Aurora" Reis confessed again.
"Reis!" Aurora wept as she hugged him.
"Why don't we start now? I'll show you just how much Saggeese has changed. The people are beginning to change as well" Reis said.
"You mean, we should…go to Saggeese now?" Aurora asked in surprise.
251
"I want you to meet my Gramps and the people of my town. We'll fly half of the way and continue the rest of the journey on the back of Sabre-fang" Reis said.
Aurora nodded with tears in her eyes and raised her hands. In swirling elements of water, Marina appeared. Aurora mounted Marina and helped Reis aboard. Reis sat behind Marina.
"Marina…to Saggeese" Aurora called softly.
"Are you sure about this?" Marina asked for she sensed the uncertainty in Aurora's heart.
Aurora nodded.
"Yes" she said.
Marina spread her wings and took to the air.
As they rose higher and higher, Aurora could feel Reis trembling. She reached behind herself and took his hand in hers.
"Don't be afraid. You're safe with me" she assured him.
However they hadn't flown far, only roughly two hours of flight when they noticed strange clouds approaching in the distance. The swiftness and thickness of the clouds appeared strange and the movement was far too uniform to be natural.
"What are those?" Aurora looked concerned.
Reis looked ahead.
"Use my eyes Reis" a voice whispered to him.
"Sabre-fang?" Reis wondered. "Thank you" Reis thought with a smile.
"Eyes Of The Kaignis King" Reis called as his eyes turned crimson and assumed the likeness of Sabre-fang's.
252
Reis' vision was magnified and he saw an army of dragons. Riding atop them were soldiers. Atop one of the dragons was a man with blonde hair and cloaked in crimson cloak and armour.
"It's an army of dragons! And I think I know where they're headed. We've got to warn the guild!" Reis declared.
"Marina! Can you camouflage yourself and head back to the guild as quickly as possible?" Reis asked.
"I can" Marina said.
"Camouflage is one of my many talents" she explained.
Marina created an orb of water to surround them. The orb dispelled the light headed their way and created the illusion of invisibility.
"We won't make it in time" Reis said.
"What do we do" Aurora said.
She turned to face him. She had a panic stricken look on her face.
"I will warn Kyla and Shin" Reis said as he shut his eyes.
He concentrated on locating their auras. He had to expand the area of effect overwhelmingly while ensuring that he didn't alert his foes to his presence. His mind journeyed through the country searching for the Rangers' Guild and finally found it. Then he sought out Kyla and Shin and warned them of the impending invasion. Then realizing that there was a better course of action and that it would be selfish to attempt to conceal his power anymore, he warned the Dragonlord directly and relayed the images to his mind.
The Dragonlord in turn summoned Old Lady Kamikaze to Rangers' HQ. Using her psychic abilities, he relayed Reis' message to the rest of the Guild and called for a gathering. He understood that Reis had not done this himself because most of the guild did not still trust him.
253
"This is what we will do. First of all, we will evacuate the drakes to safety. They are not ready for combat yet. Priority will be given to the safety of the drakes. Dragon Guards will be responsible for the safety of the drakes. Captain Hiru, I entrust them to your care. All Dragon Masters and Dragon Students will prepare to engage the enemy over the forests of Novatio. We cannot allow them to bring the battle to the Guild. It would be perilous to fight a defensive battle. While we hold them off, you are to escort the drakes to the closest towns for safety. Old Lady Kamikaze, contact Novatio's castle and request that the Dragon Knights be sent back immediately" the Dragonlord declared.
"The Dragon Knights?" one of the rangers present exclaimed in shock.
"We must defend our home at all costs. This is the resting place of the Dragons and we cannot allow them to die out! That is why we exist. So if we have to go to war with Saggeese to defend the life of the Dragons…so be it!" the Dragonlord declared.
Marina flew onwards towards the Rangers' Guild. Reis knew that he and Aurora had time on their side. Their enemies might not know exactly where the Guild was so as long as they were not spotted, they would be safe. Reis looked behind himself to see whether they were putting up distance between their foe or not. Marina was a powerful flier. Their foes could almost no longer be seen. Reis sighed in relief.
Reis turned to Aurora.
"Aurora, do you trust me?" he asked.
"You should know by now that I do" Aurora replied.
"We can't go back to the guild" Reis informed her. "I'm sorry" he apologized.
"Can you tell me why?" Aurora asked.
"We can't risk leading our foe back to the guild. They may not know the way to the Guild yet they have dragons. If they have a psychic dragon with them, there is a chance they detected my presence from my last transmission. They would have
254
a general idea of how close we are to them and from that they can deduce that we are shielded. If they can seek out and latch unto our psychic energies, we should presume that we've already been found out" Reis explained.
"So what do we do?" Aurora asked.
"First, we determine whether or not we're really being followed by misleading our foe. Marina, head towards the most isolated regions of Novatio" Reis ordered.
"I see. Like this, we can lead them away from the Guild" Aurora declared.
Meanwhile in the Rangers' Guild, Old Lady Kamikaze stood before the Dragonlord with all the Dragon Rangers. The Dragon Masters were briefed on the plans to the upcoming battle. They commenced the evacuation of the drakes. At the same time, the available Dragon Masters, that is; those left over after the assignment to the Drakes left the guild with their Dragon Students to confront the army of dragons Reis had projected concerning his vision in the area he had seen them.
"Old Lady Kamikaze. Keep your eyes on young Reis Dragonhaӓrt without giving up the location of the guild" the Dragonlord instructed.
"I already intended to do that from the start" Old Lady Kamikaze said as she shut her eyes and focused.
She began to spread her area of effect wide and deposited traces of her psychic energy in areas isolated from the guild to throw off the enemy's psychic forces in case they had some. She located Reis' and Aurora's psychic energies and noticed the enemy behaving strangely for a bit. Then the enemy continued their pursuit.
Reis looked worried.
"It is as I suspected Aurora. There is no need to mask ourselves in invisibility. The enemy can locate us by my psychic aura" Reis said.
"So what do we do? Can you mask your aura Reis?" Aurora asked.
255
"Yes I can. Once we lead them astray far enough, I will mask my aura. That should confuse them for a bit" Reis reasoned.
Meanwhile, on one of the dragons stood lord Galigaos. He was the one leading the dragons and a portion of Erikkus Di Devilli's forces.
"Lead me on to the last surviving Dragons son of Jinrai my accursed archnemesis. Today, I shall be rid of you as I did your father" Lord Galigaos sneered.
In Novatio's Castle, the Dragon Knights stood in the presence of the king.
"Long ago, we decided that the best way to protect this world from evil was to prevent the kingdom of Novatio from falling into evil hands as Saggeese did. Novatio remains our final fortress against the forces of evil. Today, the same evil responsible for Saggeese's demise has invaded the borders of Novatio. For this reason, we see it fit to return once more to our station as Dragon Rangers for first, we are Dragon Rangers, then we are servants of the king" the knights made their petition.
"Do as you see fit. Since this is Novatio's problem as well, I shall have my army accompany you" the king said.
"I accept your intentions as just your highness however you must not allow yourself to fall into the trap of declaring war on Saggeese lest you give them a legitimate reason to invade the kingdom of Novatio" the leader of the knights said.
His name was Cyril.
"I see, so this could be Saggeese's trap. I will take your advice then. Come back to me safely" the king wished the knights well.
"We will fulfil our duty faithfully" the knights replied and walked away.
256
So far Reis and Aurora were successful at leading their foes astray. But Aurora was beginning to feel exhausted and Reis felt like he needed to rest soon too. It was past sunset. Reis looked below them. There was only forest. Reis instructed Marina to descend. She obeyed.
Reis shut his eyes. Aurora watched him. As she watched, a strong green light began to ebb from Reis' body till it enveloped the entire area. Reis opened his eyes.
"I've surrounded the area with natural aura. It will mask the supernatural aura of the dragon that bonded with you" Reis explained.
"How can you do all this?" Aurora asked in surprise.
"My Gramps always told me that I had the power to do anything I could imagine" Reis said. "I have always been able to do things most people consider impossible, believe things people couldn't even imagine. I suppose that's why I'm the way I am. There's nothing really special about me though" Reis laughed.
Aurora shook her head.
"No, there is something very different about you Reis" Aurora said as she recalled the image of Ryugaeia she had perceived in Reis' heart when she entered into his consciousness to save him from Armageddon's influence.
Reis stared at her in surprise and smiled.
"Thanks" he said.
"Tell me a little about yourself" Aurora asked.
"Well there's really not much to tell. I never knew my parents, I was raised by my Gramps who taught me how to hunt but for some strange reason, I was never liked by the people of my village. My Gramps said it was because my dad was too much of an honourable man, whatever that means. My Gramps also taught me swordsmanship even though it was forbidden by Erikkus Di Devilli. Then one day, on a hunt, I met Kyla, Shin and Master Jin and here I am" Reis said.
257
"You must have had a hard childhood" Aurora said.
"Actually, Tyron, my village is so insignificant Erikkus Di Devilli did not have his eyes on it till recently. I won't exactly say I had a hard childhood. It would be unfair to my Gramps" Reis said.
"Reis" Aurora called.
She suddenly appeared to be very serious.
"Aurora?" Reis looked at her questioningly.
"We are going to get through this aren't we?" Aurora said imploringly.
Reis nodded.
"Yes, I promise" he said.
Reis raised his eyes to stare at the sky. It was covered by the enemy's dragons.
"Why don't you rest Aurora, I'll keep watch" Reis said seriously.
"Okay" Aurora said.
Unknown to Aurora, packs of Kaignis Wolves had surrounded them on Reis' orders, keeping them safe.
The following day came with the sound of loud roars filling the sky. Aurora opened her eyes.
"What is going on Reis?" she asked.
"A war" was all Reis could say. "It has begun" he added.
Aurora raised her eyes and watched in horror as elements flared above her. The Dragon Rangers had arrived and the war between lord Galigaos' forces and the Dragon Rangers had commenced.
258
In terms of number, the Dragon Rangers were outnumbered but they appeared superior in terms of combat ability.
"Aurora, let's support the Dragon Rangers" Reis suggested.
"You want us to join their battle?" Aurora asked.
"I want you to take me to the dwelling place of the Kaehum Dactyls so that I can call on them to back up the Dragon Rangers" Reis suggested.
"Y-You intend to do what you did in the Village Of Shades don't you? You intend to summon the Kaisers" Aurora said.
Reis nodded.
"MARINA! I SUMMON YOU!" Aurora called.
Marina appeared in a swirling pool of water.
"Marina, take us to Kaehum Dactyl territory!" Aurora ordered.
In the Rangers' HQ, Old Lady Kamikaze was monitoring the battle.
"Our forces seem evenly matched. I see Reis and Aurora heading away from the battlefield. But they are being followed. The one following them has something familiar about him…OH NO! IT'S GALIGAOS!" Old Lady Kamikaze exclaimed in horror.
"I see. That fiend is alive after all. He must be after Jinrai's legacy" the Dragonlord said.
At this, Old Lady Kamikaze's expression became grave.
"Then there is something I need to call your attention to" Old Lady Kamikaze said.
"Your earlier vision?" the Dragonlord said.
"I believe it happens soon" Old Lady Kamikaze said.
259
Hours later, Reis and Aurora arrived in Kaehum Dactyl territory. Reis opened his mouth and spoke to the Kaehum Dactyls.
"Listen to me Kaisers, you who defend nature. Today, a foe that threatens everything you stand for has attacked the land of the remaining dragons and unless they are stopped, Ryugaeia will soon become a land without dragons. Today will forever be remembered as a tragic day in history. I want you all to remember Arӓlpheisl who once said humans, animals, Kaisers and Dragons are all part of a puzzle called history and unless the pieces work together the puzzle will forever remain a mystery. What Arӓlpheisl tried to say was all of nature can and should live together in harmony. I want you to join me and repel this foe that threatens nature's harmony".
Reis' voice echoed throughout the mountains of the Kaehum Dactyls. For a while, there was silence, then a presence stirred within Reis' heart.
"The voice of the Kaignis Reis calls to us. We are subjects to Arӓlpheisl's divine wisdom. We will join you in your battle" the voices responded and moments later, a horde of Kaehum Dactyls were headed towards the battlefield. Reis and Aurora were left alone on Marina.
"Now we'd better head back too" Reis said but then he suddenly felt a sinister presence behind him.
"MARINA! WATCH OUT!" he called.
Marina evaded the beam of darkness just in time.
"Hmm? So you actually sensed my presence did you, son of Jinrai the lightning blade?" a sinister voice asked.
Aurora's heart raced at these words.
"HOW DO YOU KNOW…MY FATHER?!" Reis roared.
260
"What is the meaning of this?! What do you mean by calling Reis the son of Sir Jinrai?" Aurora asked frantically.
"Aurora Saggeese, so we finally meet again after all these years? Don't tell me you had been close to this brat all this while and only just discovered his identity. You are a little slow on the uptake aren't you?" the man said.
"You know him?!" Reis exclaimed in shock.
"H-He is the man that tried to kill Jared and I when we were only kids, lord Galigaos!" Aurora pointed out.
"I will have you both perish here and crush Jinrai's arrogant will with my own hands!" lord Galigaos said as he charged towards them riding atop a gigantic dark wyvern.
Aurora ordered Marina to retaliate and a fierce battle of elements began in the skies.
"Before I deal with you however, I shall destroy Saggeese's future by slaying their beloved princess!" Galigaos declared as he leapt towards Marina and appeared in front of Aurora preparing for a deathblow with his sword but before he could strike, Reis parried the attack.
"Before you get to her you'll have to go through me first! I think my dad already told you that a couple of times!" Reis said with a smirk.
"He did mention it" Lord Galigaos said as he and Reis began a fierce sword battle on Marina's back while Marina fended off and attacked the dark Wyvern.
"I have no time to waste with you…blood resonance form, Ashkelon!" Lord Galigaos called as a large amount of energy was released from his body.
As Reis and Aurora watched, Galigaos' hair and body became dark. His hair grew longer and turned crimson. His feet and arms grew claws like those of a lion and he had the fur of a lion too; he grew huge wings like those of a bat.
261
"This is Ashkelon, my blood resonance form. This is only the third time I have shown it to anyone and I show it only to those I've sworn to kill" Lord Galigaos said.
Reis felt his heart pulsate as if in response to Galigaos' show of power. He roared as a massive amount of light began to escape from his body. Golden armour appeared on his body and beautiful white wings spread out of his back.
"I AM THE GOLDEN DRAKENGAӒRD, THE HAND OF DIVINE RETRIBUTION!" Reis exclaimed.
Aurora recalled Old Lady Kamikaze's words.
"Aurora! The person you seek is closer than you think! You must protect him! If he dies, the world will be destroyed. Aurora, don't hide your feelings or you won't live to regret it".
Aurora held Reis' hand. She had a serious solemn worried look on her face. Reis turned to look at her.
"Reis" she called.
Reis noticed the look of worry on her face but mixed in with the expression on her face was a look he had never seen her give him before.
"Be careful. Don't die" Aurora said.
Reis nodded and turned to face Galigaos.
In an instant, he had lifted Galigaos off the back of Marina and the two were exchanging elemental blows in the atmosphere. Aurora turned her attention to Marina.
"We can't lose to this Wyvern! MARINA! USE YOUR BREATH ATTACK!" Aurora ordered.
Marina chuckled.
262
"I thought you'd never ask but we've got to immobilize it first" Marina suggested.
"I see your point. Then focus your attacks on its wings. Get it out of the air and grounded and we'll finish it with a single blow!" Aurora suggested.
"And I know just the attack. Kind courtesy of Ayes though I can't do it as well as he does!" Marina said as she began to condense the air in the atmosphere into liquid form and freeze it into hundreds of sharp ice fragments. She focused her attack on the Wyvern's wings and succeeded in making holes in its wings. As the Wyvern crashed to the ground, Marina inhaled deeply and attacked with a vicious breath attack. Her breath was a flood of water as hot as fire itself and the Wyvern was incinerated.
Meanwhile, Reis and Galigaos were clashing swords in the atmosphere.
"Those dragons you ride are not natural" Reis said.
"So you noticed. They were created through dark experimentation using the captured rangers" Galigaos said.
"Captured Rangers?!" Reis thought to himself.
"We draw out the power of the dragons from the rangers and use it to replicate the dragon's abilities. The by product was that a Wyvern would be created in the process. Dragons without souls. They embody the power of the dragons and like the dragons they can share this power with a human host. Since I command this army, you can infer that I have multiple dragon abilities and I am going to take my time showing them to you!" Galigaos said as the sky suddenly began to grow dark.
"First the power of Sum-Kebi also known as the dragon of darkness!" Galigaos said as he became invisible.
"The character of darkness is 'to conceal'" Galigaos said as the sky grew darker.
"I shall attack you now!" he said as he commenced an attack but Reis parried his attacks nonetheless.
263
"Unfortunately for you, the character of Light is 'to reveal'. Darkness alone cannot hide you from me" Reis said as he punched the air.
Galigaos appeared in severe pain.
"Next is the power of Saanyigre, also known as the dragon of lightning. The character of lightning is 'unpredictability'" Galigaos roared as he raised his hands to the sky.
It began to thunder loudly as lightning flashed across the sky, and then a bolt of lightning headed for Reis but he quickly disappeared switching positions with Galigaos thus causing Galigaos to be struck instead.
"Impossible! Not just once but twice!" Galigaos exclaimed in horror.
"Lightning may be unpredictable but it does bear the character of light making it predictable to a Drakengaӓrd" Reis said.
"But if there is one thing a Drakengaӓrd will not anticipate…it's that…" Galigaos declared as he charged towards Reis. Reis prepared to strike him just as Galigaos thrust his sword forward.
In the Rangers' Guild, Old Lady Kamikaze watched with great anticipation and trepidation.
"The fateful moment has arrived. The moment that will determine whether dragons live or die out".
In the next instant, Reis stood with his sword just above Galigaos' shoulder while Galigaos' sword pierced him through the heart and came out the back.
"…I would attack you as a human" Galigaos said for he had undone his transformation. The power of the Golden Drakengaӓrd was dispelled as Reis slowly transformed into himself.
"I have fought your father twice in that form so I understand how it works. Why do you think he needed the power of the Kaignis King in our third battle to win? That form has one fatal flaw. It can only function against supernatural evil.
264
Unfortunately for you, I am just your regular evil human without Ashkelon and the Golden Drakengaӓrd never attacks humans. You can die now Reis Dragonhaӓrt" Galigaos said as he pulled out his sword.
Reis gasped in pain and began to fall from the sky.
At that moment, Marina began to writhe in pain. So did the Dragons of the other Rangers. They writhed and crashed to the ground leaving the Rangers at the mercy of the Wyverns. The Dragon Knights were flying towards the battlefield when this phenomenon began to occur so they too were stranded.
"What is happening?" they wondered.
"The Dragonhaӓrt has been slayed" one of the dragons replied.
"MARINA! What's wrong with you?!" Aurora called in concern.
"Reis! Reis is dying!" Marina replied.
"N-No way. You can't mean Reis is really…the Dragonheart" Aurora exclaimed in shock.
Then she noticed Reis falling from the sky.
"REIS!" she called as she rode Marina towards him.
She caught up to him and pulled him unto Marina's back.
"Aurora! I can't hold on much longer! I will descend now" Marina said as she flew into the mountain regions below and crashed unto the top of a mountain throwing Reis and Aurora off in the process.
Aurora ran to her.
"MARINA! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Aurora called worriedly.
"Aurora do you recall the words your mother told you about your destiny and the Dragonhaӓrt's. If there ever was a time you should recall her words, that time is now" Marina said as she sighed and lost consciousness.
265
"Aurora, you and Jared are special. Never forget that…for the dragons told your father and I that it will be by your faith in the Dragonhaӓrt that Ryugaiea will be dragon earth again" Aurora recalled her mother's words.
She rushed to Reis' side.
"Reis!" she called to him as she knelt beside him.
Reis was struggling to gasp for air. Lord Galigaos descended before Aurora.
"If I recall correctly, you were supposed to protect Jinrai's son Aurora. How ironic that he should die fighting to defend you just like his father" Galigaos said. "With this, the tide of battle has turned. My wyverns will decimate your comrades and even Novatio will eventually fall to lord Devilli. I will leave you to mourn your great failure and then you shall watch as the one you were sworn to protect becomes the force you were sworn to destroy" Galigaos said as he transformed into Ashkelon and flew into the sky.
He activated a massive psychic spell to transmit the scene to every Dragon Ranger battling the wyverns.
"The Dragonheart has fallen! Surrender! This battle is pointless! You have failed to stop me!" he declared.
The Dragon Rangers began to understand why the Dragons were weakening and as Galigaos uttered these words, their morale was shattered and their rings began to crack.
Tears flowed down Aurora's eyes.
"All this time Reis, you were the one I was seeking. You told me how you felt about me but I was hesitant to confess my feelings to you because of the promise I made to Sir Jinrai. I promised to look after his son so even if I was in love with you Reis, I told myself it could not be" Aurora said.
Reis struggled to breathe.
"I…understand" he said.
266
His words made Aurora cry even more.
"You are strange Reis. How could you love someone who hated you? But when you said those words…that was when I began to love you too" Aurora said as she recalled the moment Reis saved her from the Kaignis King.
"Wh-Why? Why did you protect me when all I've done is hurt you?" Aurora recalled her question.
"Don't be silly. You're a Dragon Ranger. My partner…my friend…and someone dear to me" she recalled Reis' words.
"Even when Armageddon took over your body, you preferred to suffer in solitude than hurt another person. I admired your strength Reis and I was amazed when I saw what was in your heart" Aurora said as she recalled millions of dragons flying freely in Reis' mind.
"So though it shocked me…I was relieved to find out that you were Sir Jinrai's son because now I can say this without feeling ashamed…I love you Reis" Aurora said just as Reis grew still.
"Reis…?" she called to him.
Suddenly, her ring shattered and fell to the ground.
"No…way. It can't be. Reis. You can't be…" Aurora cried.
On the battlefield, the other Rangers' rings shattered as well and fell to the ground. Aurora understood the significance of this. She took Reis' hand in hers and said to him.
"It can't end this way Reis. I won't accept this kind of ending! You promised to teach me to love my homeland so you can't die just yet or were all of your words to me…were all of your promises just lies?!" Aurora exclaimed in denial.
"To me you were more than just my saviour…you were…my Arӓlpheisl" Aurora confessed.
267
Suddenly, Reis' heart began to beat strongly. Within his mind, he stood in the Temple of Alpha. The great Dragon Sovereign descended from the most holy part of the Temple and stood before Reis.
"Finally, we meet…Reis Dragonhaӓrt" Alpha said.
"That voice…you are the voice from my dreams" Reis said.
"I am Alpha, the Dragon Sovereign and ruler of all material light" Alpha introduced himself.
"Where am I?" Reis asked.
"At the brink of death. You were almost slain by your father's archnemesis" Alpha said.
"I see" Reis said.
"Do you feel resentful towards Galigaos?" Alpha asked.
"I can't help but despise him for the pain he caused my family and Aurora's as well as Saggeese but if the power of the Golden Drakengaӓrd lost to him, I cannot imagine hatred will win" Reis said.
"How nostalgic. You speak like Arӓlpheisl" Alpha said.
"Who is Arӓlpheisl?" Reis asked.
"He is the embodiment of Ryugaeia's ideal of balance. His title is the Wise One Of The Unison Courts but his name is an ancient word that means 'The First King'. It could also be transliterated as 'The One King' and 'The True King'. Arӓlpheisl is the embodiment of Ryugaeia's yearnings and your name 'Reis' is one part of his name. You could consider yourself a fragment of his. When all of the fragments gather, Ryugaeia will become Dragon Earth again. I would like to congratulate you Reis for gathering his fragments. Now dragons can be reborn" Alpha said.
"Fragments? What do you mean?" Reis asked.
268
"The representatives of Ryugaeia have entrusted their will into your hands. First, the Kaignis King who embodies nature has approved of you. The Saggeesian Princess who represents mankind has given you her blessing. The Golden Drakengaӓrd who represents the will of Heaven's armies fights beside you and at last, I too, the King Of The Dragons who represent the elements will now bond with you. Reis Dragonhaӓrt, do you accept the will of Arӓlpheisl? Will Ryugaeia finally become Dragon Earth?" Alpha asked.
"If it is within my power to do so, I accept" Reis said.
"Then let us be one" Alpha said as a bright light flashed within Reis' mind.
On the outside, a strong light surrounded Reis' body. Aurora stared at Reis in surprise as the light lifted him into the air. Reis' hair grew longer and flowed to his shoulders. Six powerful white wings grew out of Reis' back and his arms and body were covered in Alpha's golden scales except for his face. After the transformation was complete, Reis descended to the ground.
"This is indeed all familiar! These are exactly the scenes from Master Pheisl's dance!" Josec exclaimed.
"Never mind that! That over there is Master Pheisl!" Buern exclaimed in shock.
"For one who didn't like to 'interfere' in the affairs of other worlds, he has already interfered in the history of three worlds!" Harry laughed.
"Yeah, Master Ayu's world, this world and our world" Josec laughed.
"Let's keep watching!" Buern silenced the two boys.
"Could you say it again? What you just said. I didn't quite catch that last line" Reis said.
Aurora blushed shyly.
269
"To me…you are more than just my saviour. I always thought of you as my Arӓlpheisl" Aurora confessed.
"Your Arӓlpheisl. Hmm" Reis said with a smile as he flew into the sky.
"I also have a gift for you" Reis said as Aurora felt a familiar feeling on her right hand.
She looked down and saw her Dragon Ring. She gasped in excitement and turned to Marina. Marina opened her eyes and stood up.
On the battlefield, the Dragon Rangers' rings were reappearing on the fingers of the Dragon Rangers signifying the restoration of the bond between Ranger and Dragon. With a loud cry of excitement, the Dragon Rangers mounted their Dragons and leapt into the skies to challenge the Wyverns.
Galigaos was just returning to the battlefield when he noticed the Dragon Rangers were reclaiming their advantage. He could not understand why the Dragons were still alive.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!" he exclaimed in exasperation.
At that moment, Arӓlpheisl arrived on the battlefield.
"GALIGAOS! YOU HAVE PERVERTED THE GIFT OF LIFE! I FIND YOU UNDESERVING OF THE POWER AT YOUR DISPOSAL!" Arӓlpheisl declared as he stretched forth his hand.
A bright beam of silver light engulfed Galigaos and his powers began to ebb from his body.
The wyverns roared in distress.
"HOWEVER, THE BEASTS YOU HAVE CREATED ARE NOT AT FAULT SINCE THEY DIDN'T ASK TO BE BORN! DRAGONS WITHOUT SOULS ARE SIMPLY WILD BEASTS AND THOUGH IT MAY INITIALLY BE HARD FOR THEM, THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO CO-EXIST WITH THE REST OF RYUGAEIA'S LIFE HOWEVER FROM THIS MOMENT,
270
THEY WILL FOREVER BE FREE FROM YOUR EVIL INFLUENCE!" Arӓlpheisl declared as the last of Galigaos' evil power escaped from his body.
Galigaos reverted to his human form.
"M-My power! What have you done?!" Galigaos screamed in horror and began to lose balance.
Without his power, he could no longer even fly.
"This war is over!" Arӓlpheisl declared as he bound Galigaos with bands of light and handed him over to the Dragon Rangers.
"VICTORY IS YOURS TODAY, YOU WHO PROTECT THE DRAGONS!" Arӓlpheisl declared.
The Rangers began to cheer loudly as the Wyverns fled the scene. Aurora arrived at the scene of the jubiliation and beheld Arӓlpheisl being cheered on by the rangers. She wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Reis, you are amazing" she said to herself and kept her distance. Reis noticed her and flew to her.
"Aurora Saggeese, I would like to thank you" Arӓlpheisl said.
"Wha…?" Aurora suddenly felt embarrassed.
"It is thanks to your faith in the Dragonhaӓrt that Ryugaeia will now attain its true nature!" Arӓlpheisl said as he raised his hands to the sky.
"Ye sleeping Dragons! Hearken to these words and finally awaken from your long slumber. These words are an expression of the love humanity has for itself and for you!" Arälpheisl declared and paused for a while.
He turned to Aurora.
"Once these words are uttered, the world as you know it will start to change. The balance of power will be tipped yet again and it is possible that another Drӓkan War will occur in the near future…but I have faith in you, all of you that you will
271
use my final gift to you wisely" Arӓlpheisl said with a solemn look in his eyes. "As Jinrai and the Dragons once did, I too will now entrust the boy named Reis Dragonhaӓrt into your care for the path to his destiny is just beginning and your faith in him will determine what becomes of the future of both humans and dragons" Arӓlpheisl said.
Then he flew up to the sky and opened his mouth. The very air began to vibrate as he spoke.
"As Dragon Rangers, we are enforcers of Light!
We are protectors of Dragons
And followers of the teachings of the Dragon Knights!
Protecting the weak, freeing the oppressed
Obeying the Dragonlord!
For we are Dragon Rangers
And Dragon Rangers forever!"
Arӓlpheisl declared and as he did so, mysterious coloured lights appeared in the sky all over the world for at the moment when the final words were uttered, the sun set and darkness covered the earth. These lights danced through the sky lighting up the earth and then the lights began to assume the form of dragons. Millions of them. These Dragon shaped lights flew to the earth and all over the earth, in both Novatio and Saggeese, humans with potential for great virtue began to discover rings on their right hands. These rings could not be taken off but the humans were yet to understand the significance of the rings.
The Dragon Rangers would be shown this in dreams and would come to understand the secret meaning of the gift that Arӓlpheisl had given them for Dragons were extinct no more. As long as a virtuous human heart lived who abided by the code of the Dragon Ranger, the amazing power of the dragons would live on in them.
272
Time would pass and eventually, these virtuous humans would understand the significance of the rings on their fingers. Realizing their individual helplessness and seeking out answers, they would begin to seek one another out and once they began to find one another, numerous new guilds would form. This was the tipping of the scale of power Arӓlpheisl spoke about. This tipping would be absolutely necessary for Alpha was meant to awaken two years from now. His awakening was premature and he awakened to avert the true extinction of the dragons. But Alpha knew and in time the Rangers would realize it too that the true battle would be fought in two years' time.
The Rangers cheered happily as they returned to the guild. Reis lay unconscious on the back of Marina.
"You really are amazing Reis" Aurora thought to herself.
In the Rangers' Guild, Old Lady Kamikaze finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's finally over. Reis Dragonhaӓrt triumphed. Galigaos has been captured" she reported.
"Then we have a lot to celebrate. I leave the preparations to you then" the Dragonlord said.
"I believe Dragon High would be a fitting location. Tonight, we shall have a celebration" Old Lady Kamikaze agreed.
When Aurora finally arrived in the Rangers' Guild, everyone was waiting to see Reis. Old Lady Kamikaze had informed them of why their rings were cracking and how they were restored and so everyone now saw Reis as a hero. Darak, Shin and Kyla were around to meet Aurora. They had been so busy helping with Drake evacuation. Now things were back to normal, the Drakes were returning to the Guild.
Shin carried Reis off Marina's back.
"You can tell us everything in detail later Aurora" Kyla said.
273
"Right now, get some rest" Darak suggested.
Aurora nodded and began to head towards the Kira residence. She couldn't stop thinking about Reis.
At home, she was met by Mistress Kira.
"Welcome home Aurora" Mistress Kira greeted.
"I'm back" Aurora said.
"So how did things go?" Mistress Kira asked.
"You were right Mistress Kira. Remember what you said to me after I nearly drowned in the Lake of Kagua Beasts? You said Sir Jinrai was not a shallow man and I should not be surprised if the feelings I was fighting against were pointing me towards what I want and what I wanted was the object of my promise. I just discovered that Reis Dragonhaӓrt is the son of Jinrai" Aurora confessed.
Mistress Kira seemed surprised.
"I did suspect but I never expected my suspicions to be real" Mistress Kira said.
"Fate is a really cruel thing. To think I hated the person I was sworn to care for" Aurora said.
"But Fate is a kind thing too. The person you love and the one you are sworn to care for are one and the same" Mistress Kira said.
"That's true" Aurora agreed.
Back at the Ayenhayze residence, Reis had just regained consciousness. He could vaguely remember what happened after he had transformed into Arӓlpheisl. He felt immense knowledge and wisdom overflow within his mind and his fear of Armageddon was gone. At the present moment, the feeling still lingered on.
274
Shin walked into the room while Reis sat on his bed reflecting on the battle he had just waged against Galigaos; his near death experience and his transformation into Arӓlpheisl who was said to embody the will of Ryugaiea.
"So how did it feel to fight against him? Against the man that caused most of our pain?" Shin asked.
"When I began to battle him, I was enraged…but when the power of the Golden Drakengaӓrd failed against him, I learnt an invaluable lesson. That the Golden Drakengaӓrd did not recognize Galigaos as the enemy. It is even possible that the Golden Drakengaӓrd will not recognize Erikkus Di Devilli as the enemy. These two are just men like you and I and men can be driven towards light or darkness. What the Golden Drakengaӓrd recognized as the true enemy is the darkness that drives these two men…the darkness called Armageddon. I also realized who it is I must really battle and who this power exists to protect" Reis said.
"And who might that be?" Shin asked.
"The people of the people whose wishes form the fragments of this power. The people of Alpha, the Dragon Sovereign, the people of Sabre-fang, the king of the Kaisers, the people of the Golden Drakengaӓrd who fights for those destined for Heaven…and the people of Aurora Saggeese who represent the hopes of a peaceful Saggeese and in turn a peaceful Novatio. You could say that the power of Arӓlpheisl exists to defend these four fragments of Ryugaeia" Reis said.
"You're talking deep stuff man. Isn't that a bit too much of a responsibility?" Shin asked.
"It may be but if it must be done…it must be done. We can't fail. Things are changing far too rapidly and our only chance to turn the tide overwhelmingly is that Erikkus Di Devilli does not realize immediately the changes that are occurring. If I could, I would like to keep him in the dark for as long as possible" Reis said.
"What changes?" Shin asked.
275
"If you truly are a Dragon Ranger Shin you will understand these words, 'The Greatest Hope Of The Dragon Rangers'" Reis said.
"You are speaking weirder than you usually do. But I think I get it" Shin said.
Reis smiled.
Then suddenly, Kyla walked into the room smiling radiantly.
"What's up with that weird smile" Shin asked.
"It's almost been a month since you joined the guild hasn't it Reis? A lot has happened since and you're still creating miracles as unbelievable as the one you performed when we first met you" Kyla said.
"What? Turning you into sticks? Yeah, that one sure made my Gramps furious" Reis said with a laugh.
"That was unbelievably rude! I still can't believe you did that to us! It was weird being a stick. I could hear everything that was going on around me but I couldn't see anything. It still gives me the creeps!" Kyla shivered.
"Hahaha! I think I had a more fun experience than you did" Shin joked.
"But as unbelievable as that was, I wasn't talking about that. You rescued us from the Kaiser-Wolf and then you saved your village. That was impressive" Kyla said.
"That was such a long time ago, you're making me nervous" Reis said.
"You're still the same as always, that is reassuring" Kyla said.
The three teens talked a lot about their experiences in the guild till it was almost four hours to midnight.
"I think we should start heading for Dragon High" Kyla said.
"Why?" Reis asked.
"You were unconscious then but we'll be celebrating our victory against the Wyverns this very night. Were you on the frontlines?" Reis asked.
276
"No, Dragon Students were responsible for getting the Drakes to safety. You should have seen Darak fume. It was not a pretty sight" Kyla laughed.
"I can imagine" Reis said with a weird expression on his face.
When the three teens walked downstairs, they met Master Jin. He was ready to leave with them so they all left together.
"Do you want to know the moment when I came to admire you greatly?" Master Jin asked.
"Sure" Reis said.
"It was on the day we delivered our report to the Dragonlord about our failed mission. You should know about it. Directly or indirectly, that mission was responsible for most of your discomfort here" Master Jin said.
"You can't mean…" Reis wondered.
"Yes, the mission where Jared lost his life" Kyla said sadly.
"Do you remember the day you faced the entire guild and confronted their anguish?" Master Jin asked.
"THE SAGGEESIANS MUST PAY! ALL OF THEM! THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SPINELESS COWARDS!!!" Reis recalled the anger of the rangers.
"The Saggeesians are not to be blamed. They are as much victims as we are. In fact, they may be in a worse situation than we are!" he recalled Master Jin's defence.
"Stop talking nonsense! It's as much their fault as it is Di Devilli's. They support him or they would never obey him! If they didn't want him as their leader, they would have fought back! They are also trash!" Reis recalled the anger of the rangers.
Then he recalled his own anger begin to grow.
277
"By what we saw, the Saggeesians are being oppressed by Erikkus Di Devilli. They never chose him as their king. He manipulated his way to the monarchy!" Reis recalled Master Jin's desperate defence.
Then he recalled the words that made his anger burn.
"How can we be sure that your team did not betray their comrades? You were the only ones to return alive and not even one of you was killed or captured!"
At that moment he had just replied impulsively with the words…
"They are alive because they were saved by a Saggeesian…ME!!!"
He recalled the surprised look on Kyla's face. They were concerned for him because by exposing his nationality to defend them, he had just turned the entire guild into his enemy.
He recalled his disappointment in the Dragon Rangers. He had admired them for the honour he saw in Master Jin, Kyla and Shin but the people before him then were distrusting, narrow-minded and stereotypical.
"Honestly, when I first came here…I was glad. When I heard of the Dragon Rangers, I wanted to be one…but now…I am honestly disappointed" Reis recalled the reproach he felt towards them.
He recalled their angry glares.
"Who cares if you are disappointed in us?! We never asked for your opinion and we never asked you to join us!"
"You should care! How dare you?! How dare you call yourselves Dragon Rangers when you treat your own comrades as though they were traitors! If the Dragons trusted each other so much to unite their spirits and create the Dragonheart…so much that…their trust led to their extinction then…HOW DARE YOU NAME YOURSELVES AFTER THE DRAGONS?! WITHOUT THEIR SACRIFICE, THERE WOULDN'T BE A SAGGEESE OR NOVATIO!!!" Reis recalled his outburst.
He recalled the rangers' shock.
278
"And don't act so innocent! The current state of Saggeese is your fault Novatians! But I don't blame you, and I hold no grudge. You haven't known the past…like I have" Reis recalled the sorrow in his heart when he uttered those words.
"You are right about everything you just said Reis. Forgive them, they are not always like this. Understand that a tragedy like this can change a person's state of mind. You of all people should understand" Reis recalled the Dragonlord's plea on behalf of the rangers.
Then he recalled the Dragonlord's encouraging words to the rangers.
"I know this tragedy is too much to handle. It has created an irreparable wound in our hearts. We have lost people close to us; brothers, sisters, comrades and friends. It may all be too much. But as Dragon Rangers, it is our duty…no, our destiny to rise above the losses and triumph against the greater evil! It may take some time but we must move on! We owe that to our fallen comrades!" Reis recalled the Dragonlord's words.
It was also the first time he heard the ranger's creed. The same words uttered by Arӓlpheisl just before the sun set on the present day.
"That day sure was harsh" Reis said with a sad look on his face as he recalled Aurora's grief and then moments later, his own pain.
"We have come a long way since then" he said.
"We sure have" Kyla said as she stretched out her hand towards the sky and looked at the stars.
"I also remember the words a certain crazy psychic told me that day!" Reis said as he placed his arm around Shin's neck and rubbed his hair.
"H-hey what did I say?!" Shin seemed offended.
"Why? Why do the Novatians hate the Saggeesians so much when the Saggeesians have done nothing to hurt them? Why can't anyone accept me without judging me? In Saggeese, I was treated like a dark plague for no reason; I

never had any friends…and just when I thought I had found a family, this happens. It's worse here than in Saggeese!" Reis recalled his anguish.
"I think I understand how you feel. You want to be acknowledged for your own strength. You want to find a place where you belong…but everyone keeps telling you you're not needed" Reis recalled Shin's words.
Back then, he was shocked at how accurately Shin had described his feelings. Then he recalled Shin's words. The words that drove him this far.
"Reis, if you think you're without purpose, then find a purpose! When people tell you you're not welcome and you don't belong…just prove them wrong! Face your fear and show them that you have the strength to forge your own path! For you too are a Dragon Ranger…and a Dragon Ranger forever!"
Shin smirked.
"Sure sounds like me!" he laughed.
Kyla knocked him on the head.
"Don't go acting smug now, I can almost see your ego materializing as aura" Kyla said.
Shin growled angrily.
"Thinking back now, I finally understand how you could have said those words to me. You've felt the same crushing pain of despair" Reis said seriously.
"I'm sorry to say this though Reis but I honestly do not understand…" Shin said.
Kyla growled angrily.
"Why you…" she said.
"Not when there are too many words in a sentence describing 'pain'" Shin laughed.
"That so huh?" Kyla glared at him from the corner of her eye.
280
"Well that's Shin for you, always there to brighten up the day" Reis said.
"Yeah, imagine if I was a psychic who knew exactly how you felt but only knew how to make you feel worse. How's that sound?" Shin asked.
"Scary" everyone froze in their tracks and perished the thought.
"Not to mention creepy right?" Shin added.
"There's no point to knowing how people feel if you can't make them feel better. I'd rather my psychic powers did not exist than for it to make people feel worse no?" Shin asked.
"I don't even know how to respond to that…heheheh" Kyla laughed nervously.
Then she pointed ahead suddenly.
"Hey look! We're at Dragon High!" Kyla said joyfully.
Ahead of them, beyond the walls and the school's gate was a well-lit field. Reis and Team Ayenhayze could hear music coming from the school. When they walked through the school's gate, they saw several stalls set up to sell and serve various items. It was like a mini- festival.
A number of these stalls belonged to Old Lady Kamikaze. There was also an area set up for any rangers who would like to participate in a Drӓkan Duel.
Suddenly someone screamed.
"Look! It's Reis Dragonhaӓrt! Hero Of The Dragons!"
All attention was directed towards Reis. All the students started rushing towards him, wanting to speak with him. But seeing them all excited over him made Reis feel uneasy. Before he could think things through, his legs were carrying his body away from everyone far beyond the speed of any human.
"In many ways he's still a kid" Kyla laughed.
Somehow Reis found himself at the arena.
281
"Welcome my eternal rival! I knew fate would lead you to this place where we are destined to have our final showdown!" Reis heard an annoyingly familiar voice.
"Out of the frying pan and into the fire. Of all the people I wanted to avoid, you were definitely top of the list" Reis sighed.
"Fate has set the stage for our final showdown!" Darak repeated.
"If it really is final, I guess I can't refuse you" Reis said.
"Final as in final battle for the day" Darak quickly added.
"Damn you Darak, it's always what's convenient for you" Reis scowled angrily.
"Come on in 'Hero of the Dragons'" Darak beckoned.
Reis climbed reluctantly into the arena.
"Let's get this over with then!" Reis declared.
"You seem far too eager to fight me. I prefer to fight you when you're absolutely reluctant to fight. Makes it easier to torture you" Darak said with a smirk.
"Huh? What are you saying?" Reis seemed confused.
"I won't fight a man who is already worn out from battle. If I challenged you right now, everyone would say my victory was because you were exhausted from your fight with Galigaos. I most definitely want to crush you but only when you have no pathetic excuses except that you don't want to fight" Darak said.
"In some weird way I think you may have finally earned my respect Darak. I always thought you were a brute who would never turn down a fight" Reis said.
"Brutally honest are we? But I guess that's one thing I like about you Reis, you're a different person to everyone you encounter. It could in fact be said that you respond to everyone based on their nature however weird that sounds. You do recall however that the first time we met was also the first day we fought?" Darak asked.
282
"How could I forget? You fought Shin, cheated and when Shin responded honourably, you wanted to kill him. You sure were petty back then" Reis reminded Darak.
"It was also the first time I crushed you" Darak smirked.
"Yeah right! A sucker punch doesn't count. I definitely disarmed you via dragon parry or have you forgotten?" Reis reminded him.
"You interfered in a fight that was none of your business" Darak said seriously.
"I couldn't let you kill Shin" Reis said.
"I watched your fight with Evil Eghan too. You showed impressive resolve. At that moment, I thought a weird thought albeit a silly one that 'I wouldn't mind fighting with this loser'" Darak said with a smirk.
"You sure are never honest with your feelings and unnecessarily brutal with your words" Reis said.
"I still have a higher Kaignis-Wolf kill count than you do" Darak said.
At that moment, Reis heard a voice echo within his mind. He smiled and stared at Darak.
"Sabre-fang has a message for you Darak. He says, 'One day, I will rip out your throat with my own fangs mortal. You'd better watch out'" Reis said, his voice resonating with Sabre-fang's on Sabre-fang's message.
"I look forward to our next battle…Kaignis King" Darak said with a challenging smile.
"See you later Darak" Reis said.
"Our next two battles were a bit more challenging and in both of them, one of us was possessed by Armageddon. You through your spirit and I through my blade. I guess you repaid your debt to me" Darak said.
Reis froze in his tracks and without turning to face Darak he said.
283
"I never owed you Darak and you never owed me. It is only natural for friends to help each other out" Reis said and walked away.
"I guess I can call you 'friend' then" Darak said almost silently.
In his attempts to avoid the crowd looking for him, Reis made his way towards Kaiser Lake in hopes of finding Aurora. When he arrived, he found Erasa instead. He was tempted to avoid her but she noticed him and called out to him.
"Hi Erasa" he greeted nervously.
"You just tried to avoid me didn't you?" Erasa asked.
"I-uh…I…" Reis tried to defend himself but Erasa laughed.
"Don't worry, I understand. I still haven't apologized to you for wasting your kindness and for the mean things I said that day" Erasa said.
"Actually, you didn't direct any of that at me" Reis reminded her.
"I used my feelings for you as a tool to vent out my anger against Aurora and Shin and none of them were to blame. I think I was beginning to realize it then that you'd never love me the way you love her" Erasa said.
"Do you remember the first day we met? You saved my life when I was at the brink of death. My ring even cracked. It was a miracle I didn't die. Back then I thought you were a guardian angel, I think I still do but you're meant to protect more than just me. You saved me yet again when I used trickery to try to get you to reveal your identity. It was all Aurora's idea though" Erasa said with a laugh.
Reis looked so surprised, he didn't look so surprised. He knew Aurora despised him back then but after hearing this, every cell in his body told him that gal was dangerous!
"Will you be alright?" Reis asked.
284
"You don't need to worry about me. I discovered Shin's feelings and my own feelings for him. I'm happy and I know I'll be fine" Erasa said.
Reis nodded.
"Aurora was with me just now. She said she was headed to the Cave Of Shadows. If you hurry up, you might find her there. I know you were never the kind to crave attention so it might be a formidable hiding place too" Erasa said.
Reis nodded and ran into the forest. He ignored the Kaiser-Wolves there. They paid him no attention. Eventually he was at the entrance to the Cave Of Shadows. The entrance to the Cave glowed with a strong golden light.
"Alpha's presence. He must also be here now" Reis thought to himself as he went in.
He had only walked a few hundred metres when he met Aurora.
"Aurora!" he called to her.
She looked bewildered.
"Reis look! The cave…it's…different! There's light in here! It has always been dark except on special days but this isn't one of those days and this light is…different!" Aurora said excitedly.
Reis smiled.
"Of course it is. The presence of one more Dragon inhabits this cave" Reis said.
Which Dragon is that?" Aurora asked curiously.
"Alpha the Dragon Sovereign and ruler of all material light" Reis said.
"Alpha? But that's…" Aurora suddenly looked depressed.
"You're thinking it's my dad's Dragon Partner aren't you?" Reis asked.
"If Sir Jinrai is still alive…Alpha would definitely have answers" Aurora said.
285
"I also want to know if my dad's really dead or still alive" Reis said as he raised his hand.
The light began to condense and then it took the form of Alpha, the Dragon Sovereign.
"Alpha, it has been a while. Do you remember me?" Aurora asked hopefully.
"Of course I do, Aurora Saggeesse, the one who would one day unify humanity in their confrontation of Armageddon" Alpha said.
"What are you saying Lord Alpha?" Aurora asked in greater surprise.
"You have even more trying times ahead of you but like I said before, you may have heard it from your parents, it will be by your faith in the Dragonhaӓrt that Ryugaeia will be 'Dragon Earth' again" Alpha said.
"Lord Alpha, I have a question for you. It's about…" Aurora paused and looked away.
She was no longer sure she wanted to know Jinrai's fate.
"Jinrai huh? He really was an amazing man. It is rare to find a human whose actions align as closely with truth as Jinrai's" Alpha said.
"He was. That is why it is important for me to know. Is he still alive?" Aurora asked.
"I didn't really know my dad Alpha but I think I also want to know" Reis said with determination.
Alpha sighed.
"If that is your wish, I will answer you. Jinrai fought valiantly, he protected many and set the stage for your final confrontation with Armageddon however he is no longer of this world" Alpha said.
When Aurora heard those words, she fell on her knees and burst into tears.
286
"N-No way. Th-This can't be. This is impossible…Jinrai is dead?" Aurora cried.
Reis shut his eyes as he felt a strong pain begin to build within his heart. He clutched his heart.
"I-I never knew him. So why do I feel so much pain? Father" Reis muttered.
"Dead? Whatever are you talking about radiant Aurora?" Alpha asked.
Aurora opened her eyes in shock. Reis raised his eyes to look at Alpha.
"I thought you said…" Aurora asked.
"What I said was that Jinrai was no longer of this world, that didn't necessarily mean he was dead, no" Alpha said.
"What do you mean?" Reis asked.
"Jinrai went to get the last piece. The one thing that is absolutely necessary if Armageddon is to be defeated" Alpha said.
"The one thing that is necessary?" Reis pondered.
"What is that?" Aurora asked.
"Reis, have you ever wondered why you cannot recall your parents yet at times it feels as though you've always known them?" Alpha asked.
"It never occurred to me" Reis admitted.
"It is because your memories of your parents are closely tied to your memories of me. Your memories of me are tied to your memories of the dragons and your memories of the dragons are in turn intricately tied to your memories of human history. By severing those memories, Armageddon is trying to cut you from discovering your true self and anything that could lead you to defeat him. There was a song your parents always used to sing to you, a song you were never meant to forget. I could have revealed the truth to you at any moment after all the power of truth far surpasses that of lies but I had to wait till everything was in place" Alpha said.
287
"What truth?" Reis asked.
Alpha took in a deep breath and breathed over Reis.
"Remember!" he declared.
Reis gasped as a brilliant light flashed within his mind. In his memories, he saw a man with silver hair and blue eyes seated beside a woman with crimson hair and emerald eyes.
"Mom? Dad?" he wondered.
"Reis look after your big sister okay?" the man said.
"B-Big sister?" Reis wondered.
"What are you talking about dad? I can take care of myself!" Reis heard an angry voice.
He looked around and saw a girl who was slightly older than him plucking mangoes with daggers.
"Of course, I had an elder sister! How could I forget? Her name was…Reia Dragonhaӓrt" Reis recalled.
"Why don't you two come here for a moment" the woman called to the children.
They approached their parents.
"What is it mom?" Reia asked her mother.
"I think it is about time your father and I taught you a song. Unlike the lullabies you are familiar with, this is a special song with the power to destroy Armageddon" the man said.
The children nodded and paid rapt attention.
"This song is called 'The Heart That Destroys Darkness'" the woman said and then the parents began to sing.
288
"What is a heart or rather, who is the Heart
So fragile that it can be rended apart
One part strong, one part weak
Broken He appears, but wholeness He seeks
Origins and Endings, two contradictory ideals
But brothers they are and as one they feel
Strong and weak,
Broken and Whole,
Add one more element, when these two become One
They beckon to Him, the Heart
For when Human meets Divine, He will be born,
The Heart that Destroys Armageddon…and His name is…"
The parents sang.
Reis opened his eyes in amazement as his memory faded.
"Do you finally recall? The song about The Heart That Destroys Darkness?" Alpha asked.
Reis nodded.
"Then my duty here is fulfilled at the present time" Alpha said and dissolved into the Cave as perpetual light.
Reis and Aurora left the cave and headed towards Kaiser Lake. When they arrived, Erasa was gone.
"I am relieved to know that Sir Jinrai…your father is still alive" Aurora said.
"I'm glad too. I remembered my parents at last thanks to Alpha" Reis said.
289
"We sure have been through a lot together" Aurora said.
"Yeah, I still recall the first day we met. We refereed a mini-Drӓkan tournament together" Reis laughed.
Aurora laughed.
"Yeah, that was something" she said.
"But after that I made your life miserable many times" Aurora said sadly.
"What? You still remember that? I only remember the fun times we had together like nearly choking on my food and you giving me water, fighting the Kagua-Serpentia, arguing about petty things and stuff like that but the Kagua-Serpentia made me realize one thing" Reis said.
"What?" Aurora asked nervously.
"You're one damn scary girl Aurora!" Reis exclaimed and burst into laughter.
Aurora couldn't help laughing too.
"Fine, I get it, you were never mad at me" Aurora said.
Reis nodded.
"Thanks" Aurora said silently.
"But you know Aurora…calling me your Arӓlpheisl was the sweetest thing you've ever said to me. You know what Arӓlpheisl means right? The name means 'One King'. It can also mean 'First King'" Reis teased Aurora.
Aurora's face began to turn red as a tomato. Reis laughed even harder.
"Reis you jerk!" she screamed and began to chase Reis around the lake.
290
Meanwhile, quite far from the guild; in a grassy plain stood a girl with silver hair and emerald eyes. Beside her was a navy blue Dragon the colour of night. The dragon emitted a strong light, the colour of its body.
"You noticed the lights didn't you Omega?" the girl asked the dragon.
"Of course I did Reia. The Dragon-Shaped lights that appeared right after sunset? It can only mean one thing" the Dragon called Omega said.
"My brother has finally awakened Arӓlpheisl and the world as we know it is about to change…or rather…be restored" the girl called Reia said.
"Then it is finally time to perform the rite of 'Paradoxical Reconciliation'" Omega said.
"And with it call forth 'The Heart That Destroys Darkness'. The power said to only appear when the greatest paradoxes are reconciled.
'Strong and weak,
Broken and Whole,
Add one more element; when these two become One
They Beckon To Him; the Heart
For when Human meets Divine;
He will be born.
The Heart that Destroys Armageddon…and His name is…Benedict!"
Reia sang the final part of the song.
