Rokkan and Ryu roared as they charged to attack Shekan. Shekan charged to attack them and they clashed blades. Rokkan struck again but Shekan evaded. Ryu performed a lateral strike but Shekan somersaulted to evade it. Then they began to fight quickly. The clashing of their blades was intense. The sound echoed all over the Crystal village. The other ninja were too occupied with their battles to notice what was going on but the civilians could see it from their hiding places.
Then Shekan suddenly pushed Ryu and Rokkan back.
"You have angered me! I will show you true swordsmanship now!" he declared as he suddenly appeared before them.
Rokkan swung his sword with all his strength and knocked the Death-Sabre out of Shekan's hand but Shekan caught it with his other hand. Then he fought them with amazing speed while interchanging the Death-Sabre between both hands seamlessly. Ryu and Rokkan were amazed. Shekan possessed the same level of skill with both hands. Ryu and Rokkan had a hard time fending him off. The others aided in slowing Shekan's movements by running around him and throwing shuriken and kunai at him from different angles but he swatted them all away with his sword while battling Ryu and Rokkan. Ryu and Rokkan were still being pushed back. Then they suddenly began to attack wildly and managed to push Shekan back a little.
"You fight like children" Shekan said as he sheathed the Death Sabre.
Ryu and Rokkan looked at him questioningly.
Shekan took in a deep breath…then he suddenly unsheathed the Death-Sabre with monstrous speed and force and struck Ryu and Rokkan's blades. The force of the attack sent them flying. Before they could recover, Shekan's sword was back in its sheath. Then he suddenly unsheathed it again with terrible force sending them flying again. Shekan performed this sword technique repeatedly and with amazing speed and precision. Ryu and Rokkan could hardly see his sword any more. Then Shekan sheathed his sword one more time and crouched.
"I don't like where this is going" Rokkan said with a worried look in his eyes.
Shekan smirked and concentrated all his power into his feet. Then he suddenly streaked across the field towards them.
"KUROI RYU OUGI! SOURYU ENBU!(Black Dragon Secret Art! Twin Dragon Flame Dance!)" Shekan roared as he flashed past Ryu and Rokkan delivering a quick flurry of uncountable attacks.
Ryu and Rokkan blocked as best as they could but Shekan suddenly phased past them. They stood frozen and then they suddenly began to bleed from their hands and collapsed to the ground.
"What insane power!" they muttered in shock.
Shekan looked at them from the corner of his eye.
"You don't have time to admire me" he said as he suddenly appeared before them and attacked with great speed.
Ryu and Rokkan blocked but their wounds made every block difficult and painful for them.
Nadia used an ice jutsu to freeze Shekan's feet to the ground giving Ryu and Rokkan a chance to strike but Shekan evaded their moves easily and shattered Nadia's jutsu with brute strength.
Atlanta reinforced Nadia's jutsu with a Crystal jutsu and Michael sent another water dragon towards Shekan. Just before the water struck Shekan, Nadia froze it making it sharp. The ice struck Shekan wounding him in the process.
Ryu and Rokkan suddenly charged towards Shekan from opposite sides. Shekan observed them.
"If I evade their attack at the last moment, they will kill each other" he thought but when Ryu and Rokkan were close enough, they hurled their swords.
Shekan dodged their attacks but he was surprised by what they had done and wondered what they were up to. Before he could recover his senses, Ryu and Rokkan were a step away from him. They stomped the ground and concentrated all their chakra to their feet giving them momentum.
"DRAGON CRUSHING DUAL BARRAGE!" they roared as they moved their chakra from their feet to their fist and elbow.
They hit Shekan from both sides with Master Hiruko's secret taijutsu art.
The force of their attack was so great that it passed through Shekan's body and blew them to the ground.
Shekan screamed in pain and collapsed to the ground. He coughed up blood.
"Hiruko taught you well but now…you've really made me mad. Ryu, Rokkan, you are the only ones that interest me. I have no interest in the rest of your comrades" Shekan said as he formed forbidden seals.
"FATE ELEMENT! SOUL REAPER JUTSU!" Shekan roared as he sent a tremendous amount of darkness after Michael and the others.
"NOOO!" Ryu and Rokkan screamed as they reached out to the others.
The darkness engulfed their comrades and when it disappeared, the companions they had travelled together with lay deathly still on the ground. Ryu and Rokkan were horrified. They felt anger and pain. These feelings turned into rage and anguish.
Nemesis regained consciousness and approached Ryu and Rokkan.
"Ryu, we may not stand a chance in our present states but if we were to enter the Chaos State, we might stand a chance against him" Nemesis suggested.
Ryu grabbed Nemesis by the collar and raised him into the air.
"If Atlanta and my comrades are dead Nemesis, I promise you, I will definitely keep my promise to you but it won't be as pleasant as I had originally planned!" Ryu threatened Nemesis.
"Ryu, right now, let's focus on the enemy in front of us. Shekan is a greater threat. We can deal with Nemesis later" Rokkan suggested.
