Chereads / The Hero Of Vengeance / Chapter 261 - Chapter 256: Soul Splitting

Chapter 261 - Chapter 256: Soul Splitting

The Oracle was quite literally dragged to the Cursebreaker.

She had gone completely insane after being killed, tortured, and reset ten thousand times.

"I have successfully discovered the source of my curse," Vakra said.

"Is it her?" I said as I looked at the Oracle.

She wouldn't move anymore.

"No. Her power is part of it, but she isn't the one who cursed me. I'm guessing that it was a higher power. But who could be higher than the Oracle? The Creator, of course."

"So you were cursed by the architect of all of creation? That makes sense. Why would he want you running wild and defying reality like that?"

"Ugh...it pains me to admit it, but you are correct, Mizik... My abilities made a mockery of his creation and I was likely cursed as a result. Meaning that I can never erase this curse."

"So sad to hear. But that's also a good thing for me. I don't think I would trust you if I couldn't contain you," I said.

"Right...and you'd be correct to assume such a thing. But I suppose I should get on with it, right? The issue with the Albatross twins?"

"Yeah, we can stop wasting time and get this over with," I said. Then I turned to Isabella and Cassandra. "You two. Are you ready to be separated?" I asked.

Their face lit up with joy.

"Yes please! I want my own body back!" Cassandra said.

"Please! I want to be me again!" Isabella said.

"Good. Lay down on one of the two operating tables," I said.

The two obediently did as I asked and laid on the left table.

Vakra walked over and touched the Oracle's forehead. Then his skin grew back as he ascended into his true form.

"First off, damn that feels good... Secondly, I want to see if this will really work. This was only a theory to start with, after all..."

Vakra held his hand out to me and nodded.

"That's one hell of a curse. Difar really did something horrible to you. Anyway, we don't have an infinite amount of time to do this, so I'll start acting as a medium," Vakra said.

"So it works?" I said.

"I would't have said I'll act as a medium if it didn't. Let's get it over with!" Vakra said.

He walked over and tapped my heart stone. Then I felt like my power was moving around something that I couldn't see. As if evading an obstacle.

"Do whatever you have to do. I'll just wait here," Vakra said.

I turned to Isabella and Cassandra, then walked between the tables.

First, I placed the heart of the deep with its own container on the right table. Then I tapped the Heart of the Sky in Isabella's heart device.

"Soul extraction."

I pulled their souls from Isabella's body and held my hand out. I smiled just before casting my next spell.

"Soul split!"

I had made the spell for the day that I could finally do this.

I undid the threads connecting them and moved Cassandra away. Then I took Isabella's soul and placed it back in her body. Specifically her heart stone using soul tether.

After that, I did the same for Cassandra and placed her in the heart of the deep.

Now Cassandra was trapped in that crystal located inside the container device. She didn't have a body.

I began channeling as much power as I could for the next step.

I started with an exact copy of Isabella's body and fit it to the specifications of Cassandra.

The very slight differences.

Their hair was exactly the same, just styled a bit differently.

I removed the mole from her cheek and restored her maidenhood. After all, I was recreating Cassandra's body of this timeline. I was certain she would want it this way and I could feel her trying to communicate with me.

Once it was done, I fitted the heart stone device into her chest and used my power to ensure a peaceful, painless, and far less destructive connection.

Finally, was the last step...

The body was little more than a beautiful corpse at this point with a lot of power.

Creation magic was good, but the creation of an actual soul was impossible.

This is why creation magic was only used by the Creator when it came to breathing life into something.

Put simply, only the Creator possessed the ability to make a soul and breathe life into nothingness. My abilities were a mockery of such a glorious thing.

Still, like this, I could use my power to bring someone back to life if I had the necessary components. A soul and a compatible body to attach it to. And that is exactly what I did here.

Resurrection magic.

I used my divine power to create a spark in Cassandra's new body.

That spark would bring her back to life.

After the spark of life flashed within her, I created a robe of cloth around Cassandra's new body.

I snapped my fingers and they both awoke.

Isabella sat up first and held her head.

"It...it really is... I'M FREE!!! I HAVE MY PRIVACY BACK!!! YES!!!" Isabella shouted.

Tears of joy rolled down her face as she got up and hugged me tightly.

She cried heavily on my shoulder and I just stroked her hair.

Then...

Cassandra sat up and examined her new body.

I made her eyes the same color as normal, but still having the brand of Corruption caused them to immediately turn dark purple.

Oh well...I would fix it later after I killed Difar...

After checking everything, Cassandra smiled.

"My darling Mizik...his Majesty King Mizik has given me such a wonderful gift! I...I AM SO IN LOVE!!!!" Cassandra shouted.

Then she leaped off of the table and hugged me tightly.

"We'll prepare everything for a wedding. Isabella will be my first wife again and Cassandra will be my second. After that, I will not take any more wives."

They both nodded.

I was so happy right now that it was everything I could do to keep a straight face.

The pain was almost unbearable, but I did my best to ignore it.

The strength of my troops had increased exponentially.

And at that moment, I saw Masina enter the room.

"Masina, come here," I said.

"Of course, big brother. What can I do for you?" She asked.

I really wanted to question why she kept calling me that. I never placed such an idea in her head...

Regardless, there was something that I wanted to do.

"Masina...you're the patron goddess of the Iratus clan. Supposedly, you're the one who gifted us with the sacred emerald eyes, right?" I lied.

I had no idea where our eyes came from. But it was convenient to blame it on Masina for the narrative I had constructed.

"Yes, indeed I am. Although I suppose it happened so long ago that I cannot recall the event. Haaah...my my...silly me!" Marina said with a smile.

"That's what our...'legends' say, anyway... I personally would rather believe them. But...wouldn't you say it's a problem that you aren't even allowed to share the Emerald eyes? I mean...with the clan you love so much, that is. Isn't it odd that our patron goddess doesn't have our eyes?"

"Oh my...you are correct, my wonderful big brother! Ahn...it is quite strange..."

I was beginning to notice a very strange way of speaking from her... Regardless, I pressed on.

"Well, would you like me to fix it for you? I can grant you the eyes of the Iratus clan right now."

"Oh! Would you? I would adore such a thing!" Masina said.

"Say no more. Consider it done."

She leaned forward and closed her eyes as I held my hand over them. I used my magic to give her the emerald eyes of an Iratus.

Surprisingly, these eyes came with several benefits that I hadn't known about previously...

The eyes of an Iratus made one far more perceptive on the field of battle. It enhanced reflexes and allowed one to be more predisposed to martial combat of every form.

It was why individuals only specializing in magic within our family were so rare.

Interestingly enough, Masina fought with a staff and cast lunar magic in the form of a halo. A classic mage. With this, Masina would be more of a battlemage.

I planned to have her as the rear guard most of the time, however. That is, of course, if I managed to find a way of strengthening her further.

But in all honesty, I didn't really need her to help us in battle most of the time. The twins and I would be more than enough for that.

Once that had finished, I called in the female soldiers and fixed the horrible scars on their bodies. I cleansed them of the stains and scars left by Jarbold and said that they were to devote their lives in service to me.

They all agreed without hesitation.

And Stella requested to become my concubine...I allowed it since she was no longer stained by that monster. At the same time, I went ahead and decided to afford the same treatment to Masina.

I would bed even a goddess. There was no end to my power and might.

In the future, once Difar was finally dead, I planned to have a castle built for myself and the twins. My soldiers would be asked to serve there forever.

Speaking of which...

I called the men into the room and gave all twenty heart soldiers the Iratus Emerald Eyes.

My family would live on this way.

Finally, I turned to the Oracle and approached her.

I unsheathed Vengeance and pointed it to her throat.

"Your usefulness has come to an end. Shall I condemn you to hell?" I said.

She nodded weakly.

"I will...go to see...the Creator..." The Oracle said.

I allowed myself one last smile.

"By the blade of Vengeance, I condemn you to death. As punishment for your crimes, I will have your head."

Then I decapitated her and the Oracle's body fell limp.

Moments later, her body began to disintegrate. It crumbled to dust and disappeared.

"At last...it's finally done..." I said.

With all of this behind me, I had much work to do. But first of all...I had the twins to deal with.

*  *  *

As we stood at the altar in the temple of the Oracle, both Isabella and Cassandra were clothed in beautiful white dresses.

Before Vakra's power wore off, I made sure to create two emerald silver rings for the both of them.

With slight differences, of course. And based on their specifications, I made a silver ring for myself that had two light blue magic crystals on it. Once the ceremony had finished, I kissed Isabella and then Cassandra.

Symbolizing that they were mine in that order.

We did not hold a celebration or a parade.

I didn't care for such things.

Masina and Stella were envious, but I ignored it. They would have plenty of time to get acquainted with me later.

They were told not to disturb the three of us that night.

We got back to our room on the Cursebreaker and I told Cassandra to clean and freshen herself up in the shower while I spoke with Isabella. We would join her in a few moments.

"Are you okay with this?" I asked Isabella.

She frowned slightly.

"I have to be. This is what we decided on. I miss the days where it was just us, but I can no longer have that. I don't have the right after hurting you," she said.

"You don't think I'm like Arvild, do you?"

She shook her head.

"Certainly not. You have more than one woman in your life just as he did, but unlike him...you treat us well. You truly love and cherish us for more than our bodies and our status. You are Mizik. The man I love and will follow forever."

"I promise not to take other wives. You two are special to me. That right is reserved only for you two.

Isabella smiled.

"That makes me very happy. But...does this mean I shouldn't call you Master, anymore?" She said with a wink.

"Ah...do as you please. But for my sake, just call me Mizik. I prefer it when you use my name. It sets you apart from the other crazy women in my life."

She let out a playful laugh.

"Haa...very well, my love. I'll call you Mizik. And no matter what happens, I'll always stay by your side. I love you, Mizik!"

"I love you too, Isabella."

I decided to ignore the pain in my head for now.

After that, we got cleaned up in the shower and I spent the night with just Isabella and Cassandra.

Once that chapter had concluded...a new challenge could already be seen on the horizon.

It was time for war.
