As Cassandra prepared her tools to once again torture her current victim, the woman she'd caught looked on in horror.
"I'm...so sorry... Please...no more..." She said.
"Well well... You're a bit too late for such things. Trying to sneak into my room and threaten me at knife-point to have your say with me... To what end? Didn't you realize there would be consequences? I am in line for the throne of a nation! Furthermore, how am I to produce an heir with another woman? On top of such a thing being absolutely disgusting..." Cassandra said angrily.
Simply because this woman continued to piss her off, Cassandra thought about gouging out her eyes next.
Then she wouldn't even have the pleasure of looking at her.
All of a sudden...
Cassandra stopped dead in her tracks.
She saw the visage of horrifying black dragon as rapid images and memories began to flow into her mind.
All accompanied by a horrible screeching noise and the roar of a dragon.
She gritted her teeth as she felt her head pound like it was splitting open.
"Ngh...what... What is this...!? GAH...IT HURTS!!! MY HEAD!!! AHHHHH!!!!My...huh...?"
Cassandra looked around and blinked.
"What am I doing here...? This is...my dungeon? What..."
Suddenly, the realization dawned on her.
She remembered exactly what had happened to her beloved Mizik.
She watched helplessly within Isabella's body as the Oracle killed Mizik right in front of her.
Then her face twisted in horror.
"Ah...n-noo... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Cassandra screamed.
"Wh-what's going on!?" The woman asked fearfully.
"NOOOOOO!!!!! PLEASE NOOOOOO!!! MIZIIIIK!!! WHYYYYY!?!?" Cassandra collapsed on the ground and began wailing in sorrow.
The woman in chains simply looked on in shock.
Obviously, her captor was insane... But this was something else.
"Mizik!!! I failed you!!! I'm so sorry! I'm worthless... I'M TRULY WORTHLESS!!! I'VE NEVER BEEN GOOD ENOUGH!!! I'M SO SORRY!!! PLEASE FORGIVE ME, MIZIIIIIK!!!" Cassandra wailed.
Cassandra remained this way for a short while until she could no longer cry and her voice became hoarse.
Eventually, she stood up while feeling broken and lifeless.
"The Oracle...killed Mizik... So that means...everything reset...right?" Cassandra mumbled to herself.
Her worst nightmare had come true. The sheer amount of terror and agony was enough to swallow her whole.
"If I've been put back... That means my darling is also... Nooo...he's in danger! I have to-"
Cassandra stopped herself as she realized something important.
"Wait. I...I remember everything. That means... Mizik will be safe from me! I have to go get him!"
"Ex-excuse me...? Can you please let me go...? I promise I'll leave... I won't tell anyone what happened here!" The woman said.
Cassandra turned to her and narrowed her eyes.
"Ah...no. You could cause trouble if you remain alive. I'm sorry, but I have to silence you. Mizik wouldn't like it if I continued torturing people. And besides, rapists should be executed, anyway," Cassandra said.
"Wait! Wh-who is Mizik!? What are you talking about!? Please don't kill me!" The woman said.
Cassandra's eyes turned to a gaze of adoring and affectionate love.
"Why...he's only the most perfect and amazing man to ever exist! He's so amazing! You wouldn't understand because you prefer women, but to me, Mizik is everything! Now die! Ehehehehe!"
The woman's eyes went wide in fear and Cassandra held out her hand.
She had no idea what day it was or the time. Just that she had reverted to her old strength.
Being an Illusion Master also had its perks. Mainly being able to cast spells silently.
Cassandra fired an arcane ballista into the woman's heart and she slumped over lifelessly.
Cassandra saw that she gained no exp from it. She was already level 100.
She nodded to herself and quickly released the woman's corpse. She dropped it down the disposal chute at the end of the dungeon hallway and immediately began leaving.
After she changed her clothes and got cleaned up, she went out to find her sister.
Currently, it was very early in the morning and Isabella would likely be awake by now.
* * *
Cassandra found her sister walking leisurely down a hallway of the castle. She approached Isabella quickly.
Suddenly, Walter appeared between them.
"Is there something you need, Princess Cassandra?" He asked in a wary tone.
"I...oh... Walter. It's...good to see you alive and well. Can I please speak to my sister?" Cassandra said.
He looked at her strangely.
"Are you feeling okay? Your voice sounds somewhat hoarse..." He asked.
"I am well...all things considered... But I need to have words with Isabella. I promise no harm will come to her," Cassandra said.
"Walter, please. If Cassandra wishes to speak, let her. I doubt she would actually seek to do harm to me," Isabella said.
Then Cassandra placed her hands on Isabella's shoulders and leaned close.
"Isabella! I'm glad to see you! We have to go get Mizik right now! He could be in danger!" Cassandra said.
"I'm sorry...who?" Isabella said curiously.
Cassandra felt her heart sink as Isabella gave her a confused look.
"Your...your Husband! The one you fell in love with! Mizik Iratus! I-I mean...I really love him too... But he was your husband! You remember, right? The Oracle killed him and reset everything!" Cassandra said.
"Umm...sister? Did you have a bad dream?" Isabella asked.
"No...no! We fought the Corruption together! We had a ship, a crew, and so many wonderful allies! And...at the same time, we were with Mizik!"
"Princess Cassandra, perhaps you should lie down?" Walter said.
"No, Walter! I'm fine! Really! W-we...we have to save Mizik... We have to!" Cassandra said.
Isabella smiled and hugged Cassandra.
"Don't worry, sister. I'm sure you just had a bad dream. Make sure to eat well and get some more rest, okay?" Isabella said.
"But...Mizik...! We have to go to Lorelei to get him!"
"I've truly never met anyone named Mizik, Cassandra. I don't know what you're talking about. Besides, I would know if I had finally found a man to be mine... Other than Arvild, of course. Ah, I can still dream..."
"B-but..."
"Sister, please. Get some rest. Lie down and relax," Isabella said with a smile.
"I...I see... Yes... I'll just go lie down, then..." Cassandra said.
"Please do. I know you tend not to get along with others, but...I do still care about you, sister. Just know that I love you," Isabella said.
"I love you too...Isabella..." Cassandra said.
* * *
Cassandra sat down on her bed as she ran through everything so far.
Then she laid on her back and thought to herself.
"If Isabella forgot everything...then that means we're really back to square one... Mizik is in Lorelei and might be in danger. I have to go get him immediately!"
Suddenly, an idea began to form in Cassandra's head.
"Hold on...if Isabella isn't his wife anynore...maybe I could..."
Cassandra put her hands on her cheeks as she thought about it.
"That feels so wrong! So dirty! But...if Mizik also lost his memories...I could be his wife... I could guide him to get revenge on the Oracle. Even destroy the Corruption!"
Cassandra smiled to herself.
She sat straight up.
"My darling...my M-master...he needs me! My darling Mizik needs me now more than ever! I must go to him!!!"
"It's perfect... I'll be everything he could ever want and need... Mizik will love me so much! I'll be with him always! No matter what...ehehehehehehe... Just hold on for a little while, my darling... I'll come get you soon!" Cassandra said.
* * *
Her plan was simple: wait until Mizik turned fourteen and then go get him.
That way, Cassandra could immediately marry him and if he somehow got his memories back, he wouldn't have time to stop it from happening.
Cassandra felt a great uneasiness in her chest as she made the preparations.
"It feels like I'm disobeying him... I hate it... It hurts so much I want to cry... But I have to do this! I want to be his everything... I've never wanted anything so badly! Besides...he needs me. Mizik needs me!"
She sighed and continued getting everything ready...including nailing her window shut to prevent any more intruders.
Eventually, she made plans to leave a few days before Mizik's birthday. That way, she would arrive afterward.
Isabella mentioned wanting to travel to Lorelei as an adventurer at one point to Walter.
Cassandra overheard the conversation and persuaded her not to.
Although it was mainly by telling her that Mizik was there and she didn't know if he would have his memories. She said that if Isabella went to Lorelei with her, then they could get Mizik and protect him.
Isabella decided not to go because of this...
At one point later, Cassandra looked at herself in the mirror of her room and scowled.
"Why do all of my dresses show so much skin...? Mizik doesn't like that... He prefers more modest girls...right?"
Effective immediately, she got to work making new clothes for herself and for Mizik.
At the same time, Cassandra decided to wear minimal jewelry. Preferring to wear only a silver emerald necklace to show her adoration for Mizik. Lastly, she made an enchanted suit for him that would conform itself to his body.
Then she made an enchanted coat as well. Just one, of course. She planned to wrap him in it to keep him warm as Mizik's birthday was in fall. It would likely be cold by then.
Then she told her father that she wanted to get married and would search for a suitable husband in Lorelei. She got everything together, herself.
She had a group of guards as well that would be her...and Mizik's escort.
Although, she could see one of them seemed to have his eye in her.
"I never travel with guards who are stronger than me. I dare you to try something."
Once everything had been put together, she was off to Lorelei.
* * *
The Carriage rolled into Lorelei at the exact moment she wanted it to.
A letter had been went ahead to alert Duke Oswald of her arrival. As far as Cassandra could tell, they informed some of the public that someone important was due to arrive.
Cassandra hummed quietly to herself as she imagined seeing Mizik as a young man again without any scars.
When the carriage finally rolled to a stop, Cassandra heard the sound of one of Lorelei's guards opening the door.
Once it was open, Cassandra peered over and saw Cain giving her a strange look.
"What are you doing here...?"
"EVERYONE GET BACK! GIVE HER MAJESTY SOME ROOM!" He shouted at the people.
Then Cassandra got out of the carriage and looked over at Cain. He raised an eyebrow at her and she glared at him for a moment.
"Why are you here, Cain?" Cassandra asked.
"What do you mean? You know me, your Majesty?"
"Don't play dumb... Have you hurt Mizik!?"
"Ooooh. So the rabbit hole deepens. You remember, don't you, Kyriel? That's nice. And don't worry, things are already different this time around," Cain said.
"My name is Cassandra. Not Kyriel. And unless you want to be declared an enemy to Albatross, I would be quiet about it if I were you," Cassandra said coldly.
"Sheesh... You really are a scary woman, you know that? Is there anything else you need to say?"
"I want to know if you're friend or foe right now."
"Probably leaning closer to friend. Reluctantly. You can consider me an unorthodox ally at the moment... But I suppose you're here for the boy, right?"
Cassandra smiled.
Suddenly, Cassandra heard the footsteps of Duke Oswald and his...son...approaching.
"Greetings, Second Princess Cassandra Victoria Albatross! It is such a delight to have you visit our wonderful town of Lorelei! Might I say, you are looking far more beautiful than the rumors would suggest," Duke Oswald said.
"Ugh...stop looking at me with those perverse eyes..."
"Oh...hello, Duke Oswald. It is a pleasure to come to this lovely town," Cassandra said as she took the opportunity to look around.
She was searching for Mizik.
"My son, Garmal Von Oswald, would very much like to get to know you better, Princess. Would you mind sitting down with him in my castle?" Duke Oswald said.
As Garmal stepped forward and waved at Princess Cassandra, she smiled at him.
"I am very sorry, but I have only come on personal business. I'm afraid I don't have time to...indulge in such things. I'm sure you understand, good sir," Cassandra said.
"Filth. Insect! You are a bloated tick compared to my beloved Mizik. He is a kind and loving handsome gentleman! Haaaaah...Miziiik..."
"Ah...but of course. I'm hoping you'll reconsider once we sit down to discuss your business..." Duke Oswald said.
"Absolutely not. He looks like an obese frogman... Absolutely disgusting."
Cassandra wanted to instinctively cover herself from the perverted gaze of Duke Oswald and his...son... Both of them were staring...
Not to mention, the urge to gag at the thought of being with anyone other than Mizik. Especially the filthy...son...of Duke Oswald.
"Certainly. By my authority as Second Princess, I would also like to request Knight-Captain Cain as my personal guard for this trip here. Is that acceptable?" Cassandra said.
He seemed good for it at the moment... She needed someone strong and knowledgable about Lorelei to help her find Mizik.
"Of course! Captain Difar is an exceptional warrior and a fantastic servant! Right this way, Princess!" Duke Oswald said.
Cain seemed to become greatly agitated by this, but ultimately said nothing.
Princess Cassandra was followed closely by Cain and Garmal tried to get close to her as well.
Then as they walked away, Cassandra glanced at Garmal who had gotten far too close for comfort and quickly moved away.
"Stay away from me, you filthy maggot!"
At once, the four of them went into the Duke's castle.
* * *
Instead of allowing herself to get caught up in dealing with the Duke and his son, Cassandra made an effort to speak with Cain alone.
"Tell me what's going on," she said.
"Of course. But first, I just want to get something off of my chest. Now then...ahem... THAT LITLE SHIT MANAGED TO GET HIMSELF KILLED!? HOW!? HOW THE FUCK DID SOMEONE ACTUALLY MANAGE TO KILL HIM!?!? I'M STRONGER THAN GODS IN THAT FORM!!! WHO KILLED HIM!?!? TELL ME, DAMMIT!!! I'LL TEAR THEM APART!!!" Cain shouted angrily.
"The Oracle did it. She invited us for a meeting and assassinated him right in front of us. I don't know how I kept my memories..." Cassandra said.
"Damn her... I'm going to kill that bitch... Fine! Well, Mizik doesn't have any memories. Although I have suspicions that the previous version of himself might be able to contact him through a glitch in his status menu. I really can't say... But we have plans to meet up later. Also, Mizik's father is alive. They never want to the mines and Mizik didn't have to kill goblins for three days in the sewers like he does sometimes. Sound good?" Cain said.
Cassandra gave a wide smile.
"My darling Mizik hasn't had to suffer much, then... I'm so glad! I'll make sure he doesn't suffer at all!"
"Right... Want me to go get him? It pains me to say it, but I know where he lives. I know all of the places he goes in this gods forsaken town. I could-"
"Bring him immediately! I want to see him!" Cassandra said quickly.
"I have to make sure that his memories are gone... If they're gone, I can move forward with my plan... To be loved by Mizik. I'll become his wife this time... I must atone!"
"Ah...Alright. Yeah. Weirdo... I'll go to his house, then," Cain said.
Suddenly the thought of also going to Mizik's house crossed Cassandra's mind. She smiled sinisterly.
"What if...I went into his room..."
"The answer is no. I don't need the extra attention on me and I don't need you going into his room to act like a pervert. You'll probably just...smell his underwear or something... You freak..."
"I...h-how dare you imply something so lewd!" Cassandra said angrily.
"Don't deny it. You would absolutely do that, you pervert."
"Ugh...I...well...p-perhaps... But you must understand, Mizik is really-"
"I absolutely do not want to hear about how much you adore that despicable bastard child. I had QUITE ENOUGH OF IT when you worked under Lord Difar. I'm going to go get him, now, so you can keep Garmal company. That slob certainly has his eye on you!" Cain said with a sarcastic smile.
Cassandra felt herself gag at the thought of being near that filthy man.
"I will...endure this for Mizik..." She said.
"Great! Now get lost. I have to go get the brat," Cain said.
The two of them stood up and went their separate ways.
* * *
As Cassandra came to the throne room of the somewhat run-down castle, Duke Oswald smiled at her.
"It's a delight to have you here, your Majesty. But...you weren't very clear on your intentions. Might you tell me?" He asked.
"Ugh...I would much rather be laying in Mizik's bed right now... I wonder if his room is messy? Or if he leaves his dirty laundry on the floor like some boys do... Kyaaa! I could help him organize his things and maybe...ah! Maybe I could sleep in his bed!!! I wonder what his underwear smells like...haah...I'm feeling warm just thinking about it!"
"Ehm...your Majesty...?" Duke Oswald said.
"Hm? My apologies. I was lost in thought..."
"Well...my question began for an answer, your Majesty."
"Filth! Disgusting maggot! I was fantasizing! Oh damn it all..."
"Well, Duke Oswald, I am fifteen years old and will soon be sixteen. It is quite a shame that my beauty will go to waste without finding a suitable husband. I have come here for that very reason," Cassandra said.
"I see! You're looking for a husband! Might I interest you in my son, Garmal?"
"Umm...you may not, actually-"
"AROS!!! Fetch Garmal for me, would you?" Duke Oswald said.
An older man with a dead look in his eyes bowed his head and quickly walked away.
"Ugh...please save me, Mizik... I'm starting to get withdrawals... I miss you so much!!!"
"Duke Oswald, I am here for Mizik Iratus. I have no interest in your...er...son..." Cassandra said.
"What? The Iratus boy? You're talking about the son Ulysses had, right?" Duke Oswald said.
"That is correct. I wish for him to become my husband. Not...Garmal..."
"Preposterous! Utterly ridiculous! The King and Queen would never approve! You would choose that filthy Iratus child over my wonderful son!? This is quite insulting!" Duke Oswald said angrily.
"Watch your tongue, Gregorio. Last time I checked, you are a Duke and I am a Princess. I outrank you. Who I choose to marry is none of your business. If I want to marry Mizik Iratus, then I shall do exactly that!"
"Ugh...fine... I'll send for the boy... I-"
"There is no need. I have already sent Knight-Captain Cain to do so for me. He knows exactly where to find him."
"I see... Well then...you have time before that...Iratus boy arrives, yes? In that case, you can speak with my wonderful son, Garmal. I'm sure he will be able to woo you much easier than some dirty commoner with Kalsan blood," Duke Oswald said.
Before Cassandra could protest, Garmal arrived and smiled at her.
She returned the smile a bit uneasily.
"So...you're the Princess of Albatross? I'm the Duke's son," Garmal said.
"Yes...I am aware...Garmal..."
"I like the way your voice sounds, Cassandra. Can I call you Cassandra?"
"Umm...no. Please call me Princess or your Majesty."
"Okay...we can skip the formalities later. Aros said you were looking for a husband. I assure you that there isn't a better man in Lorelei for such a fine woman. In fact, they may as well be trash by comparison to me. You're...really pretty, by the way... I love your hair..." Garmal said with a smile.
"He's trying to be charming... How adorable... This filthy mongrel just off-handedly insulted my beloved..."
"Look, Garmal. I'm truly not interested in you. I am tired of the nobility in our country..." Cassandra said.
"Then let me interest you as a man and not the son of Duke Oswald!" Garmal said with a look of determination.
"Please make this end..."
Cassandra was then forced to endure a lengthy conversation with Garmal for several hours as she eagerly waited for Cain to return with Mizik.
It felt like it would never end... Garmal continued talking and doing his best to woo her.
From his gaze, Cassandra could easily tell that he didn't intend to actually love Cassandra. Only to ravage her body.
And that disgusted her even more.
As time went on, she began to feel her mind go numb from all of the things Garmal talked about.
He seriously talked too much.
Eventually, she stopped listening altogether and the door of the throne room opened.
"Ah, Mizik Iratus...and I see Cain also allowed your father to come as well. That's fine..." Duke Oswald said.
Cassandra looked over as two people entered... A man she had never been before. Tall with dark brown hair and emerald green eyes. He seemed strong and dependable. A real man.
Beside him was...
Cassandra felt herself overcome with immense joy as his eyes locked with hers for a moment.
There was no scar on his face. He looked younger and so much more innocent.
He was a bit shorter at the moment... A couple of inches shorter than Cassandra. But it was definitely him.
Mizik Iratus.
"Ehehe...hehehehehehe! DARLING!!! MY BELOVED DARLING MIZIK! MY SWEET AND ADORABLE INNOCENT MIZIK!!!"
Then Cassandra realized that she had allowed her face to show her adoration for Mizik. She straightened and composed herself.
Although...Mizik seemed truly bewitched by her beauty. He was staring without realizing it.
"Miziiiik~! Please stare as much as you like! I'm all yours, after all!"
Suddenly Mizik looked away shyly and Cassandra could see him internally kicking himself.
"Don't be upset! I don't mind! Please...look at me more! I love your adorable eyes!!! Please cover me with your gaze, darling! Fantasize about me! Think about me more!!! Undress me with your eyes!!!"
"Umm...Cassandra? Were you listening to me?" Garmal asked her.
"Please do not speak to me further, Garmal. I'm not interested in you or your advances," Cassandra said.
"Ah...I-"
"That's enough, Garmal. Do not embarrass me further in front of her Majesty!" Duke Oswald said angrily.
Garmal glared at Mizik as Cassandra continued looking at him and walked away.
"My darling Mizik saved me from that filthy insect! This is heavenly!!!"
"Greetings...Mizik Iratus... Seriously, I can't believe your father up and had a child here... As if he wasn't already enough of a problem on his own... Now there are two of you...ugh..." Duke Oswald said.
Ulysses bowed to his knee and Mizik followed.
"Watch your mouth, worm. That's my sweet Mizik you're talking about..."
"Although we have the same title of nobility, I wish to show my respect to you for letting me live here, Duke Oswald. And please know that my son shall not trouble you," Ulysses said.
"His father is such a gentleman... So this is the Emerald War Demon? The man who killed my uncle before I was born... He doesn't really look like Mizik, but they have the same eyes... Mizik probably takes after his mother. I wish I could meet her and ask permission... Oh! My poor Mizik! My poor motherless darling!"
Mizik remained silent after his father spoke.
"He already has. For some reason, the beautiful Princess Cassandra wants to speak to Mizik instead of my beloved son Garmal. Can you believe that? Your son is the filthy spawn of Kalsa! And you dare to-"
"THAT'S ENOUGH!!! HOW DARE YOU SPEAK OF HIM IN SUCH A WAY!!!" Cassandra shouted in rage.
Duke Oswald looked at her in surprise.
"You will leave this throne room NOW! I wish to speak to Mizik without your meddling!" Cassandra said.
"Ah...f-fine...your Majesty..." Duke Oswald said.
Duke Oswald was shaking with rage as he got up and left the room.
"Ah...sorry about that! I really didn't want to use that tone with you around, darli...I mean, Sir Mizik. Please forgive my outburst!" Cassandra said as she approached Mizik and gracefully bowed her head.
"Ah...I slipped up, there. I hope he doesn't mind!"
Cassandra felt truly sad that he had to hear such an initial impression of her...but...
When he looked at her, she could see his face turning red.
"S-SO CUTE!!!"
Somehow, he also seemed to be reading something...
"Oh, please stand, won't you? I would prefer to speak with you face to face, Sir Mizik! You did come all this way to speak with me... It would be such a delight to hear your voice!" Cassandra said.
"Yes... Please let me hear your voice! I miss it so much! It's been months!!! I want to hear it so badly! Your sweet voice! The music to my ears!"
"Excuse me, your Majesty... Is there something you want with my son?" Ulysses asked.
"You must be sir Ulysses! It's such a pleasure to meet the man who raised Mizik!"
"I...see..." Ulysses said as he stood up.
Then Mizik stood up and Cassandra glanced at him. She immediately looked away and turned her gaze to Ulysses.
"His innocent face...! It's too much for my heart! He's so adorable!"
"Well, it is a delight to meet the kind and beautiful Princess of Albatross. It's an honor to stand before you, your Majesty," Ulysses said.
Cassandra could easily tell that Ulysses was eying her suspiciously.
"You flatter me, Sir Ulysses. I am only the Second Princess... Alas, it is my sister who will take the throne. I am somewhat forgotten. But I still hold great power within Albatross."
"But of course, your Majesty... Now once again may I ask, what do you need from my son?" Ulysses said.
Cassandra smiled at him
"There is one thing... I will speak with you over there. I do not wish for Mizik to overhear yet..." Cassandra said.
"Really...? It isn't bad, is it?" Ulysses said suspiciously.
"Oh...I understand your desire to protect him! I want to protect him too! We're allies!"
"My deepest apologies! I mean you no harm! I assure you! It's just...embarrassing to say so soon..." Cassandra said while fidgeting slightly.
"Wh-why am I so nervous...? Normally I don't have any issues telling Mizik of my love... But for some reason, I can't think straight! Ah...is it because my body is different than before?"
Suddenly, Ulysses glanced at Mizik and he shrugged. Then Ulysses looked back at Cassandra.
"Very well, I'll come with you. Mizik, stay here," he said.
"Understood. I'll wait," Mizik said.
As soon as she heard his voice, she couldn't stop herself from making a noise.
"Hnn..."
"No! I must...remain vigilant! He's...SO ADORABLE! HIS VOICE IS SO CUTE!!!"
After that, Ulysses and Cassandra walked a short distance away and talked quietly amongst themselves.
"Duke Ulysses Iratus. I have a request concerning your son," Cassandra said calmly.
"Listen, your Majesty..."
"Please, call me Cassandra. I would like us to treat each other as family," she said.
"Odd...but okay. Cassandra, my son is the only remnant I have of my late wife. He's very precious to me and I love him. What are your intentions?" Ulysses said sternly.
"First...are you aware that this isn't the first time this has happened?" Cassandra said.
"Let's just say that I know a few things and leave it at that."
"Very well... I am someone from a previous timeline of our history. I have somehow managed to keep my memories from the past. In that timeline, Mizik was married to my sister Isabella. But she has lost all of her memories. Now I desire...to be Mizik's wife, myself," Cassandra said.
Ulysses' eyes went wide.
"My son...married the First Princess...? That means... The Isabella he talked about..."
Cassandra nodded.
"I have long since desired him... And now is finally my chance to have him to myself. I promise that I can protect him almost as well as you could. He will be safe by my side and I want to shower him in love and affection. Will you grant me your blessing?"
"Well...you stood up for him earlier. I think that sounds like a good deal. You seem quite friendly and well-mannered. I think Mizik would love to marry you! He's been staring after all..." Ulysses said.
"Yes... He just became a man, hasn't he? He is at that age..." Cassandra said fondly.
Then Ulysses flashed Mizik a thumbs up.
After that, they returned and Ulysses put his arm around Mizik's shoulder.
"You're a lucky man, Mizik. I'll meet you at the border as soon as I can. Don't worry, I'll tell everyone at the inn where you're going. Good luck!" Ulysses said.
"Wait...am I going somewhere?" Mizik asked.
Cassandra took the opportunity to get close to Mizik. She smiled adoringly at him.
Ulysses let go of him and stepped back.
Then Mizk turned and seemed startled by her presence.
"Ah! I'm sorry! I just couldn't help myself... Hnn...he smells so nice!"
"It is...so nice to see you, Mizik..." Princess Cassandra said.
"It's gone! The scar is gone! I can't believe it...and my sweet Mizik is so close... I want to cry, I'm so happy!"
Cassandra took a deep breath and hugged Mizik tightly.
"Ah...umm...P-princess!? I mean...y-your Majesty!?" Mizik stammered.
Then Princess Cassandra moved her mouth to his ear and whispered.
"Please, just call me Cassandra. I love it when you use my name..." She said.
Mizik's face turned red as Cassandra pulled back and giggled.
"He's so young and innocent... I must protect him!"
"Like I said, you're a lucky guy, Mizik. I'll see you later. We'll meet at the border after...well...yeah. Just send a letter every now and then!" Ulysses said.
He smiled and flashed Mizik another thumbs up, then immediately left.
Mizik looked at Cassandra and she blushed.
"L-let's...go to my carriage. W-we have a long trip ahead of us!" She said shyly.
"I love your eyes... They're so innocent and adorable! I feel like I'm melting!"
Then she took his hand and pulled him along with her.
They got in the carriage and the rest was history.
She found out that Mizik had remnants of his former self...but at that point she had already decided.
She would do her best to make him love her and she would become his wife.
