The group just look at me in shock and horror.
"Whats wrong, my stats aren't that insane. If we were able to see Amon's status those numbers would be insane."
These kids truly believed they were unbeatable. I guess its time to give them a taste of the real world.
I dash forward and slam the flat of my blade into the assassin who initially attacked me.
The boy gets sent flying and crumples up into a ball on the floor, passing out.
The others just watched in stunned silence, not one of them could have reacted to my speed and they know it.
"Now then, whose next?"
(POV Change)
What the hell was that?
He's even faster and stronger than the God of Calamity was.
I barely even saw him move, and I certainly couldn't have reacted to it.
On top of that he used the flat of the blade so that he didn't kill Declan.
He's looking down on us. This bastard doesn't even think we're worth killing.
I have to know why, why would he show mercy to his enemies.
"Why didn't you kill him? He was your enemy!"
The King just laughs and hoists his sword onto his shoulder.
He stops and stares me in the eye while smiling.
"You're not my enemies, you're my people. My only enemy on this battlefield is Tristan."
No way, this kind man can't be King Arthur, he was supposed to be cruel, not kind.
"Stop lying, the Earl told us what you did, how you destroyed an entire nation just to make an example of them!"
Thats right, we just have to remember what this guy did.
"They invaded us and tried to cause a rebellion. I had no choice but to make an example of them for the sake of peace."
I put my fists up and charge in.
How could he talk that way about peoples lives?
Somebody needs to punish him.
I slam my fist towards his face only to hit empty air.
The hilt of his sword is slammed into the back of my head and I drop to the ground.
(POV Change)
"Thats two down, whose next?"
I look towards the rest of the people I'm fighting with as they start creating space.
They aren't fleeing. They plan to attack from range with magic.
Right on cue several attacks of multiple different elements come towards me.
Its rare to see this many people who specialise in different elements. Most people just default to one of the four basic elements yet right now there's light, shadow, poison and even somebody using chi energy.
Its truly incredible.
I bring up my blade and deflect the attacks.
If that hit me I might have died.
I appear beside the chi user.
She's a small girl seemingly from the eastern continet.
"Incredible, I've never seen someone who can use chi before."
she throws a ball of chi in my face and jumps back a few metres.
"What the hell are you on about? thats just my magic!"
"No, magic is the manifestation of mana into an attack or some kind of unnatural ability. Chi on the other hand is your very own life essence being used as an attack. Most people can only use one or the other but both should exist within every single living thing. The stronger the mana the stronger the chi. They are in perfect balance with eachother."
More bombardments come towards me from the rest of the party.
Their magic is strong but compared to people like Merlin and Dracula, its nothing to be afraid of. I still can't let my guard down though.
None of the others here seem to be anything special. The only ones who seem to have some potential are the girl with the chi and that guy from the tournament.
I deflect their magic bombardment for a second time only for a boy with an axe to appear and swing the flat of the axe head towards me.
I swat him away like he's an overgrown fly and he lands a couple metres away from me.
He gets up covered in scrapes and bruises from the impact.
He seems to have an eternally angry look on his face and short black hair with angry brown eyes.
"My names Cameron Hall, as the leader of these people I won't let you hurt any more of them!"
He's the leader? Out of all the people here he's by far the weakest one. Is he maybe some kind of super genius?
He took off one of his gauntlets and threw it at me.
"I challenge you to a dual! If I win you won't hurt any more of us!"
Nevermind, he's just stupid. Brave but stupid. He's not their leader. He just claims to be.
I bend down and pick up his gauntlet.
"Very well then. You best be prepared."
He hoists his axe and charges.
Before he even got half way he fell to the floor and passed out.
His will was seriously so weak that that was enough to knock him out.
More of these kids attack me seeing that the duel was over before it even began only to be knocked out the same way.
It appears I overestimated them. They don't have the willpower to fight stronger opponents in real battle.
Its like they were always this strong and barely had to train.
THe rest of the magic users continued to hurl spells at me, but they weren't the same ones as before.
These ones lacked confidence and coordination.
"How dissapointing."
I swung my blade towards them, the air pressure completely blowing apart the oncoming spells and sending the remaining foes flying.
I hope I didn't kill any of them. Anyway I need to get moving again. Can't keep Tristan waiting for too long.
