"What the fuck?!" Jaime exclaimed, astonished at the sight of the Titan punching the other Titan in the jaw. Mikasa was as transfixed as him; they watched as the muscular Titan walked up to the Titan on the ground and raised his feet before smashing it down against the nape, again and again, until the other Titan stopped healing himself.
"The Titans have never attacked one another!...How is this possible?" Mikasa was the first to speak, but he could tell she was trying to make sense of this.
How is this possible? Is this an abnormal? Not it can't be just another abnormal, Jaime thought, watching the Titan look down at his destroyed hand that was slowly regenerating; he knew this one couldn't be an abnormal, at least not a normal one, the abnormals, while they acted unpredictably, they never attacked other Titans.
"Mikasa!" They turned around to see Connie and Armin landing before them, followed by a trail of gas from their ODM Gear.
"Are you okay? Why did you take off like that?"
"Guys, we need to leave. That Titan is still there," Connie quickly pointed out, sweat rolling on his face, pointing at the Titan that was right now approaching another Titan.
"No, he won't. That Titan is with us, look at him. He's not attacking us." Jaime quickly pointed out, wanting to ease the situation.
"WHAT! A Friendly Titan, Jaime, this is--" Connie was cut off when the Rogue Titan roared back at another Titan, who roared back at him before throwing his entire hand at his face. His head flew across the air before smashing against a tower.
"Holy CRAP!!" Connie shouted as Jaime ducked himself and him, avoiding the flying head of the Titan.
"How is this possible?? There has never been a Titan who was on Humanity's side!" Armin said, amazed, looking at the Titan, who looked around as if trying to find his next target. Suddenly, he turned to look at them.
Jaime's body tensed up, his hands grasping the pommels of his swords, watching him closely; only now, he noticed the Titan had green eyes, eyes that reminded him of someone else. Someone that Armin told him he was dead.
Impossible! Stop it, Jaime, your mind is playing tricks with you, He quickly told himself. He wondered if he could ask Mikasa and Armin if they could see the same as him, but he didn't want to reopen that wound right now.
"He's not coming here! Why is he not interested in us?" Connie questioned, as baffled as them, watching as the Rogue Titan found another nearby, punching the next one in the head before smashing the nape.
"He knows the weak point is the nape, and he is not showing interest in us. Just what is he?" Jaime wondered out loud, but then he remembered something more important. Everyone else. They were heading to the Headquarters when he decided to go after Mikasa.
Ymir, Krista, Annie. Are they alright? He wondered as he turned to look at Armin and the others. "We still need to reach the HQ. We cannot stay here right now."
"Jaime. I don't have more fuel in my ODM Gear." Mikasa pointed out with a down look.
"Neither do I. I used the last bit to grab Mikasa from the road when I thought the other Titan would grab her." He explained, grinding his teeth, wondering if the others were alright.
After he said that, Mikasa looked even more ashamed of herself, looking down at her hands.
"Mikasa, are you alright?" he asked concernedly, getting closer before letting his hand rest on her shoulder.
"I—I ruined the plan, Jaime. Because of me, you had to come after me and save me." Mikasa said, angry with herself, wondering how many people died because she lost hope.
"I understand how you feel Mikasa." Those words made her look up at him as he looked at her sympathetically. "I do. But right now, we can't dwell on What ifs, we need to keep moving forward." He said, patting her on the back.
Mikasa looked at Jaime with a completely new light. Someone she could consider a dear friend. Someone that she could rely on. Despite being unfair to him in the Training Corps. He was still willing to help her.
"T-Thank you, Jaime." Mikasa said sincerely.
"You can thank me later," Jaime said before facing the other two. "You two still have gas in your tanks, right?"
"Not much left in me." Armin answered with a look of defeat.
"Jaime, take mine." Connie suddenly offered, grabbing the leather strap, ready to hand his ODM Gear over to him, but the latter stopped him from doing that.
"No. All of us will reach the HQ."
"How? Face it, only me and Armin have gas left. You two need more than we do. Jaime, you are a better soldier than I'm. I can stay here and wait until you come for me after refueling your Gear." Connie prompted, ready to hand his ODM Gear to Jaime, and Armin seemed ready to do the same and give his ODM Gear to Mikasa, who quickly stopped him from doing that.
"No. There must be another..." Jaime's words trailed off as he looked at The Rogue Titan, two blocks away. A sudden look of realization on his head as he looked back at the HQ.
"Jaime, what are you doing?"
"...It's crazy...but I have an idea."
Jean
With beads of sweat trickling down his forehead, Jean barked out orders to the cadets. "Everyone, we are rushing towards the Headquarters, do not stop no matter what. If you do, you're dead. No matter what you hear, do not stop," he commanded, his eyes scanning the group for any signs of hesitation. Despite the nods of agreement from the cadets around him, Jean knew many were terrified.
With a firm resolve, Jean led the charge. He leaped into the air, his body hurtling toward the ground at a dizzying speed. He quickly activated his ODM Gear. He pulled the trigger, and his grappling hook shot out, piercing the side of a nearby building with a thud. With a burst of gas from his ODM Gear, Jean propelled himself forward, hurtling through the air.
As Jean made his way towards the Headquarters, he could sense the presence of all the other Titans following him with their thunderous footsteps and hear his friends following him. Despite the overwhelming sound, Jean didn't dare look back; he knew any distraction could be fatal. With his eyes fixed on the target, Jean fired another grappling hook that propelled him closer to the towering structure.
A hand suddenly got hold of his leg, and he quickly slashed downwards, his blade cutting off the finger holding his leg, freeing himself.
.
.
A lone soldier found himself being lifted off the ground by the enormous hands of the Titans. The soldier's screams of pain echoed through the battlefield as the Titans pulled his body in opposite directions, their massive strength tearing him apart limb by limb. Despite his desperate struggles, there was no escape from the merciless grip of the Titans, and the soldier's body was ripped apart.
.
.
Despite having only a few drops of gas left in his ODM Gear, Jean knew he had to make a bold move to survive. With his heart pounding in his chest, he desperately pushed himself forward towards the window, his legs and arms moving in unison as he prepared for impact. As he broke through the glass, Jean felt the sharp shards cutting into his skin and the wind rushing past his face. He tucked his legs in and wrapped his arms around his head to protect his eyes from the flying debris. He hit the ground hard and rolled, his body aching from the impact. He quickly sprang to his feet. All around him, the sound of shattering windows filled the air.
Jean sighed in relief as he quickly stood up to see who else was alive and was relieved to see that all his close friends had made it; a loud crash shattered the eerie silence of the room, and Annie, Reiner, Bertholdt, and several others burst through a shattered window.
'Wait, where the hell are Jaime and Mikasa?' He wondered out loud but quickly remembered that he had gone after Mikasa after she decided to run off with her ODM Gear.
Jean turned his attention to two cadets cowering under a desk, their faces drained of color and their eyes brimming with fear. A deep-seated anger began to bubble up inside him. Without a word, he strode towards them, his fists clenched and his jaw set in a grim line.
"Are you from Supply Squad?"
Without hesitation. He grabbed the soldier by his jacket and pulled him close. With all his might, he punched the soldier in the face. The soldier stumbled backward, his nose bleeding profusely.
He was about to unleash another punch on the guy he had already hit once when he felt someone grab him from behind. It was Marco who was trying to hold him back. "Jean, stop, man. It's over," Marco pleaded, his voice filled with concern.
"It's their fault," he spat out. "They left us in the lurch, and now people are dead because of them. If they had done their job like they were supposed to, more people would have lived!"
"The Titans invaded the Supply Depot," she explained, her voice shaking slightly. "There's nothing we could do."
"Doing something about it is your Job!" Jean shouted with anger; he could still hear the screams of his fellow cadets before they were either crushed or eaten by the Titans. He knew he would remember their screams for the rest of his life.
Reiner's voice cut through the tension like a knife, "Jean, enough. We are here now. That's what is important." Though reluctant to back down, Jean begrudgingly conceded as Marco stepped back, letting go of Jean.
"Where's Jaime, and Mikasa?" Krista shouted with a hint of despair as she tried to look outside through one of the windows they had used to break inside when Ymir pulled her away.
"Titans are coming!" Everyone started running when a side of the wall was broken down, and two Titan faces peeked inside the building through the new hole in the wall. The Cadets screamed in terror, running away, and Jean was left staring at them in shock. He wanted to run away, but his body wasn't moving.
'What the hell was I thinking? I should have listened to Jaime.' He thought when the two faces suddenly disappeared, and instead, a punch was replaced. It took a moment for Jean to realize that someone had punched the two Titans in the face.
"What—" Jean's exclamation was cut short when a burst of gas and the sound of someone screaming were heard. Jaime flew inside through the window, holding Mikasa in his arms, followed by Connie, who was holding Armin.
Jean's face brightened up when he saw his friend was alive and well, but before he could greet him, someone else was faster than him.
"Jaime!!"
"Krista!" The two hugged each other closely, and Ymir looked at them, not amused by the sight of him hugging her.
"Okay, enough, pretty boy," Ymir said scoldingly as she pulled away Krista by the arm. The blonde girl pouted, while Jaime smiled sheepishly.
"Good to see you in one piece, ugly freckles. I was hoping the Titans would have shortened you a little." He teased, earning a giggle from Krista while Ymir groaned loudly.
"Well, since you were busy saving Miss Ackerman over there, it was my duty to take care of her." Those words made Jaime look down momentarily, guilt written all over his face.
Jaime knew he had abandoned all of them to save Mikasa.
"Where's Annie?" Jaime quickly asked when he remembered that he hadn't seen her anywhere, concern seeping into his voice as he looked around.
"Right here, moron." He whirled around, and her cold eyes looked back at him, but instead of flinching, he quickly embraced her, almost lifting her up. She hugged him back, her face resting on the crook of his neck.
Jean chuckled nervously, happy that Jaime was smiling again; he heard Krista giggle at the sight. Berholdt looked absolutely crushed, with Reiner patting him on the back, while Mikasa, for some reason, was glaring at Annie.
As the two parted from one another. Marco was quick to ask what everyone else was already thinking.
"How are you four still alive?"
"The Rogue Titan saved our asses. We used him as a mule, and when we got close enough. Me and Connie used the last bit of gas in the ODM Gear to get inside through the windows." His explanation made everyone look at him as if he had gone mad. Even Jean was quite skeptical.
"Jaime, have you gone mad? How did a Titan help you?" Jean couldn't help but ask.
"It's true, he is attacking all the other Titans, and he's showing no interest for us. Look for yourself." Connie quickly defended him, while pointing at the nearby window. Everyone took a look and saw the same thing.
A Titan who was stomping on another Titan before punching another one.
"How is that possible?"
"It's a miracle!!"
"That's a monster!"
The cadets watched in awe, and Jaime smiled. Everyone seemed amazed by this. Many even looked more hopeful now that they had all seen the Rogue Titan.
"How did you use him as a mule?" someone asked from behind. Everyone turned to see that it was Reiner.
"It was Jaime's idea, he took my ODM Gear, and grabbed his attention by throwing a rock at his head, it didn't work at first, until, well, Jaime... he insulted him, and the Titan started following, and then the Titan noticed the other Titans gathered around the HQ, and started walking towards them. Jaime and Connie quickly used that oppurtunity to fire a hook at his back, and use him as a mule until we were halfway there." Armin explained sheepishly, pointing at Jaime.
Now, everyone looked at him in astonishment while Annie was shaking her head, a look of disbelief on her face. "Jaime, you are a moron. You should not have chased after Mikasa." Annie didn't seem to care that Mikasa was right there and could hear her. The girl with the scarf looked ready to step forward and defend Jaime when he got closer to the blonde girl.
"We can't know for sure, but I'm glad I could help her. Sometimes, the body just moves on its own," he said with a tender look.
Annie sighed, letting out a puff of air through her nose. She knew deep down that Jaime didn't really think when he decided to chase after Mikasa; instead, he just did it and decided to help the foolish girl. "Well, next time, think of yourself more." She scolded him.
"Jaime, what should we do? The first floor is filled with Titans?" Many quickly started asking him.
"Find supplies, everything we can use." Many quickly scattered away as he turned to face Armin.
"I believe you already have an idea brewing in your mind." Jaime said teasingly, and Armin chuckled nervously as he started explaining what they should do to kill the Titans on the first floor and refill their ODM Gear.
While discussing their plan, Jaime noted that Reiner asked quite often if they knew anything about the Titan outside, even after they told him that they had no idea who that Titan was or why he wasn't attacking them.
Suddenly, the door burst open with a loud bang. Jean, Marco, and the rest of the cadets rushed inside, their arms full of crates and rifles. Jean announced, "We found the supplies. They seemed to be fine."
As the cadets began unloading the crates, Armin quickly retrieved a map from a nearby shelf and spread it on the table before them. As they studied the map, Jean meticulously examined each rifle, checking to make sure they were still in working condition despite being covered in dirt.
"Can rifles even do anything against Titans?" he asked, his voice laced with uncertainty.
Armin shared his idea. There were only seven Titans left, and their rifles might not be enough to take them down. However, he proposed that they could still blind them with their weapons.
"Listen up, everyone," he said, his voice steady and commanding. "This is the plan: a group of soldiers will make their way down to the supply depot using the elevator. But here's the catch - our plan relies on attracting the Titans to our location. Once we have their attention, we will use our rifles to blind them. This is crucial because it will give our best cadets the chance they need to attack the Titans from the beams, taking them out while they are disoriented and vulnerable. It's a high-risk plan, but it's the only option we have. We all depend on it." As he finished speaking, Armin could see the determination and resolve in the eyes of his fellow cadets.
Reiner, noticing his friend's distress, tried to reassure him with a hint of humor: "Don't worry, Armin. We will be fine. We survived outside. We can easily kill those small titans."
Annie's voice cut through the air like a sharp blade, "The risk is the same, no matter who does it. If one fails, everyone dies."
"You are just a ball of sunshine, aren't you Annie?" Jaime teased with an innocent grin, earning a look of annoyance from his girlfriend.
"I only speak the truth."
"Jaime, what do you think?" Armin asked, wanting to know the opinion of the one who saved them.
"I think your plan will save all of us, Armin. You should have more trust in yourself." Jaime encouraged him with a pat on the back.
Mikasa placed a gentle hand on Armin's shoulder. "Have confidence in yourself, Armin," she continued, eyes locking onto his. "You have always had the ability to analyze situations and choose the best option. Your intellect and strategic thinking are unparalleled, and it's that same ability that has saved Eren and me in the past."
"Something like that happened?" he asked, his brows furrowed in confusion. But before he could get an answer, the sound of the elevator doors crashing to the floor echoed through the hall.
Everyone turned to look as the doors opened to reveal a group of cadets with rifles already loaded. "The elevator is ready!" one of the cadets announced. "We need to move fast!"
Mikasa stepped forward and placed a reassuring hand on Armin's shoulder. "You're just unaware of it," she explained, her voice soft yet firm. "We will talk later." Armin nodded, though still doubtful about what was happening. As they rushed into the elevator, Armin's mind raced with questions.
Mikasa, Reiner, Bertolt, Annie, Jaime, Jean, and Connie. As the other cadets prepared to blind the Titans by climbing into the elevator, the chosen seven took a different route, heading down the stairs to the supply depot.
It was Connie who finally voiced the question that had been on everyone's mind: "Will we really be able to kill the Titans without using our ODM's?"
"Of course we can," he said confidently. "They are titans between 4 and 7 meters. It will be easy to hit its weak point." He finished with a confident smile.
"Yeah, size isn't a problem," Jean chimed in with a thoughtful look. "The weak point remains the same."
"In case that doesn't work, we can always use the other weak point." he said as he raised his sword in the air.
The revelation took Connie aback. "What?! Do they have another weak point?!" he exclaimed in surprise, turning his head to look at Reiner.
Reiner's grin widened mischievously as he explained, "You just have to stick your sword up their ass." He raised his sword to demonstrate how the maneuver should be executed.
"How do you know that, Reiner? Unless you have tried it with someone before," Jaime quipped with a playful glint in his eye. Reiner, however, merely rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"You idiots think that those may be his last words," he interjected.
"Last words, hmmm. Well, my last words are I like badass girls, with beautiful—ouch," Jaime groaned as Annie flickered his head with her index finger.
"Take this seriously." Annie scolded him, but Jaime merely chuckled.
"This is what I meant when I said badass girls." Reiner burst out laughing while Berholdt looked a little insecure about whether or not he should chuckle.
As the elevator started moving down, the cadets on it could feel their nerves kicking in, realizing that they were about to face the Titans once again. Despite the dim lighting, they could still make out the figures of the Titans, walking around aimlessly as if waiting for their next victim.
Armin whispered to everyone, "Well, the number hasn't changed. There are still seven." His voice was barely above a whisper, but it was enough to send shivers down their spines. As they looked around at the Titans, they couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over them.
When the elevator stopped abruptly, the cramped space's atmosphere shifted from tense silence to heightened alertness as the cadets inside instinctively pointed their weapons in all four directions. Marco spoke in a hushed voice, urging his comrades to stick to the plan and maintain their composure despite the slight tremble in his grip on his rifle.
The sudden halt of the 4-meter Titan walking ahead of them caused a ripple of unease. A shiver of fear ran down their spines, and the cadets tensed up, their breaths coming in short gasps.
Despite his own trembling, Armin managed to keep his cool and quickly assessed the situation. "Don't shoot yet. Wait until they get closer!"
The cadets felt their hearts pounding in their chests, their palms sweating with fear.
"Easy boys," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. The others around him gulped nervously, their eyes darting back and forth between the Titans and their fellow cadets.
As the Titans approached the elevator, the cadets could feel their hearts thudding against their ribcages in terror. Suddenly, Armin's voice rang out, clear and commanding.
"FIRE!"
A cacophony of weapon fire erupted, causing the Titans to falter in their advance. As the smoke cleared, it became apparent that the cadets had executed their maneuver flawlessly, blinding all seven Titans simultaneously.
The cadets on top of the rafters sprang into action, leaping with precision onto the backs of the blind Titans. They struck with deadly precision, their blades slicing through the air as they aimed for the vulnerable spot at the nape of the Titans' necks. Six Titans fell, their lifeless bodies hitting the ground with a thud, but Connie's strike missed its mark, the blade instead making contact with the Titan's shoulder.
In a split second, Connie realized the danger he was in and muttered an expletive under his breath. "Shit!"
"Connie, move!" Annie's voice boomed through the air as she sprinted towards him. She sliced the Titan's knee, causing it to fall to his knee. Jaime quickly jumped upwards, his sword cutting through the nape effortlessly. The Titan groaned before hitting the ground, his body emitting steam.
Slowly, Connie made his way to where Annie and Jaime stood. "Thank you so much, Jaime. Thank You, Annie."
"No problem," he said with a small smile. "Now stand up. We need to leave." Connie, who had been sitting on the floor, quickly nodded in understanding before rising to her feet and hurrying over to where the supplies were stored.
The cadets cheered and pumped their fists in the air. They eagerly rushed to their gas containers to refuel their ODM gear without wasting a moment. Jean, Marco, and Jaime found themselves sitting beside each other, pouring the gas into their containers.
"You know, Jean," he began, his tone slightly hesitant. You might not like me saying this, but I really do think you're an excellent leader." Jean, who had been lost in thought, looked up at Marco, his expression quizzical. What do you mean?" he asked, not quite understanding where that came from.
"I Hope you don't get mad, but you are not strong. So you can relate to how the weak feel. Isn't that why you immediately know what should be done?" Marco continued with a soft smile.
Jean's dismissive tone was laced with disbelief as he spoke, "I highly doubt it. You should thank Jaime if he weren't there. I doubt any speech would have convinced them to rush to their death."
"You're wrong, Jean." This statement hung in the air, causing Jean to stop what he was doing and turn towards Marco with a raised eyebrow.
"Do you truly believe a speech could convince people to run straight to their deaths?" he asked incredulously. The mere idea sounded preposterous and borderline absurd to him.
"Yes." Jaime answered beside them with a grim look. "I convinced these cadets to rush to their deaths, and then I abandoned them."
"You didn't abandon them, you went to save Mikasa, and trust me. You being there wouldn't have changed much." Marco tried to reassure him.
"I guess we will never know," Jaime mumbled, feeling down, knowing many people had died. His eyes went to Hannah, who seemed crushed but still alive; a friend was helping her to refill her tank.
"Let's talk about something else. So you and Annie are a team right?" Marco asked with a wide grin.
Jaime flushed slightly; he was tempted to deny it, but he knew there was no point, and it wasn't like he cared if everyone knew he was in a relationship with her. If it were up to him, he would have gladly announced to everyone they were dating back at the Training Corps, but Annie didn't want that, so he respected her wishes. "How do you know that?" He asked instead.
"Jaime, we saw you hugging Annie. What do you think would have happened if I tried to do the same." Jean retorted before Jaime could embarrass himself.
Jaime could already imagine that, and the image brought him a chuckle.
"What do you see on her man. No offence, but Annie is...ahhh...." "Sweet, soft. I know she's not perfect and neither am I, but behind all that ice, there's a good heart, warm and gentle." Jaime said, earning strange looks from his two friends.
"Annie, you are talking about the same Annie Leonhart." Jean asked incredulously.
"Is there any other Annie you know about?"Jean and Marco quickly looked behind, to see Annie looking back at them with her famous cold glare, which could make the Titans run away in fear.
"A...Annie....ahhh...hi..." Marco stammered a little, with Jean trying to come up with something to say, but Annie wasn't interested in speaking with them.
"Can you two leave for now? I need to speak with Jaime." It wasn't really a request, but the two knew better than to face her wrath. The two quickly bolted away, with Jaime chuckling slightly. Annie grasped his hand before leading him into a more discreet location on the first floor. Once they were as alone as they could get right now, Annie kissed his lips, and Jaime kissed her back, holding her close by her waist.
They slowly pulled away. Her face had turned a little red, and so was his, but he was sure she looked even more beautiful like this.
"Wow, you are quite scary when you want to." Jaime teased, moving a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"I have a reputation to keep." Annie said with a smirk.
"Maybe, but I think it would be better if you tried to show your tender side more often; you can make new friends." Jaime prompted, but deep down, he knew Annie did not care to have that many friends.
"I don't care about that, Jaime. How are you feeling?" she asked concernedly, knowing the many people who had died would affect him personally, and she was right.
"It's better now that you are here," Jaime said sincerely, with a bright smile. His purple eyes almost glittered from the sunlight pouring inside through the windows, but Annie quickly gave him a look, making it clear that she wasn't buying his optimistic words.
Jaime sighed in defeat; sometimes, he wished she couldn't read him as well as she did. "I can't help but think of everyone that died today."
"This is how it is, Jaime."
"I know." Jaime quickly said slightly angrily, but that didn't mean he had to like it. "And there's something about the Abnormal Titan out there."
"You think he is dangerous?" She questioned with a furrowed brows.
"No. His eyes..." Jaime was tempted to say what he was thinking, but he knew how ridiculous it sounded.
"What about his eyes?" Jaime didn't notice how demanding she sounded when asking this question.
"Nothing... Let's get out of here." Jaime answered, not looking at her expression, knowing he needed to get a second look at that Titan before he was behind the safety of Wall Rose.
Later
As the cadets finished refilling their gas at the Headquarters, a sense of relief washed over them, knowing that they were finally going to leave this Hell behind. The vast majority of them wasted no time in firing their cables and propelling themselves into the wall, eager to escape the chaos and danger that surrounded them.
"Wait, should we help him?" Mikasa asked as they all stopped on a rooftop. They turned and saw the Titan struggling against five Titans feasting on his flesh.
"They are eating him!" Armin sounded shocked as he watched.
"Come on, guys. This is a Titan we are talking about. He is not a friend." Jean quickly tried to convince them, wanting to get back behind the safety of Wall Rose as soon as possible.
"Jean, when was the last time you read about a Titan killing other Titans in the century of history since we built the walls?" Jaime asked, not looking away from the Titan, his hands gripped the handle of his swords, ready to save this Titan.
Jean had no answer to that when a sixth Titan started approaching; this one was familiar to Armin.
"That's the one that ate Thomas."
As if hearing what Armin just said, the Rogue Titan rushed forward before bitting on the nape of the Titan, lifting him upwards with just the strength of his jaw before throwing it against another Titan, both smashing against a building. The Rogue Titan sank to his knees before landing on his stomach, emitting steam from his nape.
"Alright, he's dead. Let's leave now." Jean prompted.
"Wait...Guys!! It's Eren!!!" The moment he said those words, Mikasa jumped down on the ground before rushing towards the decomposing Titan, and there he was, on top of the nape area of the Titan. Mikasa quickly reached him, hugging him tightly. Fearful that he would disappear, she quickly placed her ear where his heart was.
Bump, Bump, Bump, Bump
Mikasa let out a cry of relief and happiness, knowing he was alive; her family was not dead; he was still there for her.
"Mikasa. We need to leave, we cannot stay here." Jaime quickly said with a soft smile on his face. He was happy the moron was still alive, but they couldn't stay here any longer.
All of them quickly made their way over the outer wall that soured Trost. Jaime watched as Mikasa kept hugging Eren and sobbing, with Armin holding one of Eren's hands.
"Guys, does this mean that Eren did all this?" Jean asked, astonished, pointing at the many dead titans across Trost.
But Jaime almost didn't hear him as he looked at Eren, his purple eyes opening wider and wider.
He? He came out of that thing...Armin told me he was dead. He would never lie about something like this, and Eren came out of the Titan...Wait...Jaime slowly remembered something that made his heart almost stop beating.
Eren never showed interest in us while he was a Titan, and neither did... The Colossal...Jaime's eyes grew wide. He remembered how he only attacked the Cannons around the Wall, but not them, until Eren was close to killing him...
If Eren can turn into a Titan... there are definitely others out there, which means...The Colossal Titan...he's amongst us...
