Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: Transmigration 2

After the adrenaline has calmed down, Yeong Mun-Hee gazes around the foreign bedroom where she is in. The wall is painted royal blue with a golden pattern decorating every possible corner of the room.

The furniture reminds her of that one European-styled suite that she stayed at for a contest in university, except this bedroom is a hundred times more extravagant. All most everything is covered in gold and sparkling jewels, even the bed sheet she is sitting on is of top quality.

Mun-Hee looks down from the blinding sight in front of her, and long golden strands of hair fall from her shoulder. Her skin also felt softer and smoother, like baby skin. Mun-Hee crawl out from the hole she made with the thick blanket trying to find something to look at herself. Spotting the big body mirror on the left side, she quickly make her way off the tall bed before fully sprinting toward it.

'...huh?'

Mun-Hee could no longer see her youthful adult body but instead, a child-like appearance show itself in her reflection. Long golden mane with beautiful blue eyes and flawless white skin. She has a face that can make any style look good even if it is out of fashion.

A sudden headache washes through her head making her fall over on one side. Her vision twisted as the world turn into a piece of modern artwork with swirling colors. As her vision slowly cleared, she could see strange shining particles floating in the air before disappearing.

Standing back up from the floor she rub her soar bottom that landed too hard on the solid surface. The girl let out a small groan before blaming the piercing headache for whatever god put her in this situation.

Her eyes wander around again before landing back on the mirror, more specifically the mirror frame. The weird symbols on it that she thought were some kind of decorative pattern now turned into letters that she could read.

~Amelia Laurel~

Admittedly, the gears in her head started to click in place. She sprints toward the bedside table and takes out a little notebook hidden under a stack of blank papers and crayons. The thin cover is decorated with a little ugly doodle.

She closed the drawer before sitting down on the floor and start reading the contents inside. Page after page is filled with joyful discussion about little things that occurred around the Laurel mansion with vibrant drawings detailing her family.

" I am Amelia"

The image of a gorgeous little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes was indeed the same in the novel. "Flower of Eden" was very descriptive about every little scene and character's details.

This story circles the heroes' adventure across the plain of Menaali, exploring and learning about their new world.

The main character Alex Donovan is a transmigrator from another world, after settling down he makes friends, and meets rivals and enemies along the way. He later gained power that is on par with many higher beings of different species.

In the latter part, conflicts broke out, and war raged the land, creating a perfect scenario for the heroes to show their full potential.

In the novel, Amelia Laurel is a side character that helps save the main character and his party in exchange for her life. Her death was destined to happen when she reaches 26 at the end of Volume 4.

'I don't want to end up with the same fate as in the novel '

Amelia jerked her head to look up at the ceiling. Her initial panic has calmed down considerably compared to before. She takes in a shallow breath before rearranging her memory of the story as she hurriedly scribbles down the little diary with the crayons she found inside the drawer.

It can be deduced that at this point, Amelia still hasn't encountered the main character yet. The reason for that is Amelia still lives in the side palace in the Laurel estate.

In the story, all children born of the Laurel bloodline will stay in the Spring palace until they turn 15. Afterward, children will be situated in the Autumn palace in a room they will be using until they either become the head of the household or move out for marriage.

Other houses such as the Winter and Summer palaces are used for employees and guests. The novel described the sight in the Autumn palace room compared to the Spring palace as heaven and earth. It is said that extravagant furnishing can even put the royal palace to shame.

Amelia's appearance also shows that she is not yet reached the age to change palaces yet. She only made her first encounter with the main cast in her coming-of-age ceremony when she reaches 15.

The trasmigrator befriends Amelia in the academy as they go through all sorts of challenges and difficulties to become stronger. Throughout their journey, they would meet many fateful encounters and strong allies.

'I can't go around all willy-nilly either'

In this land, you can walk into a random store and meet some hermit master in hiding. This point makes it easy for the main cast to make it big with little to no effort. If you have the right resources, the right kind of mind to building up something big, and a lot of spare change then anything can be made possible in Menaali.

In the old world, Yeong Mun-Hee only has a handful of classmates and seniors with whom she is acquainted but barely close enough to meet outside of work and school. There is no family for her to return to either.

Amelia could guess that she has possibly died or that something happened to her body when she fell asleep which resulted in her transmigration. She was in a deadline rush, running around collecting necessary material all the while working part-time and studying for over a week.

Even the rich jerk that causes all of these problems for her stops in his path and gives her a cheering pat before shoving his spare change into her hand. It is safe to say that she gave him a kick in the shin for that move. Could she have looked so pathetic that even that kind of guy would give her pity?

A heavy sigh escaped her lip as the pen in her hand came to a halt.

Yeong Mun-Hee barely holds any strong connection or many good memories of the place she called home for over 23 years of her life.

Maybe this transmigration is worth her while after all.
