Bacchus's eyes widened at the news. He dropped his goblet as it clanged on the floor and it descended from the steps. Sechmis was curled up and purring on his chest, but he pushed her off just as fast when she tried to fall asleep. It was unprecedented that there would be a dead Egyptian goddess. Which would mean that her counterpart would either be dead or her powers would be passed on to someone else.
He quickly tried to run out of his hut when Sechmis grabbed one of his vines. It stopped him in his tracks as he released his grip from the doorknob. He thought This whole thing seemed too convenient for this brat to have its food stolen. Now we don't know how to keep Sechmis on a leash.
