"What the hell happened Ravu???!" said Moira.
With the voices yelling about, Ava woke up in a lounge room, and saw them sitting down for high tea. Zakor, Ravu, Moth Woman, and Reisha were sitting on a couch. While Ravu was burning one of the lounge chairs.
"Look, I don't know how to feel, okay?! It's my job to protect our family! I was just not-." stuttered Ava.
She was just staring at the floor and tearing up, "W-what happened to them? Gr-Grandma…"
She started crying, and Moira took it upon herself to help and comfort the grief-stricken woman.
"Ava, we must be stronger than ever before. We must focus on keeping your family safe now… I will arrange everything in the meantime." assured Moira.
She disappears, leaving in a digital stream. Reisha and Zakor helped Ava up.
"Look, Ava, we didn't want you to be in this state again. Moira knows what she is doing, and hopefully, we can find him." Zakor spoke in a serious tone that it surprised even Reisha that Zakor talked in an out-of-character tone.
"They are right, my little cub. We must focus on our primary task to make sure your family is safe and sound. We will do a proper burial later," Reisha said with a gentle smile.
Ava got back up on her legs. Reisha guided her to the couch to enjoy some rest on the Moth Woman's lap as she was drinking some herbal tea.
When Amora and Andres ran to their sister, they were in a panic, and then Moira came into being in low soft light. These two had never seen this person before, but they knew Ava was there.
"A-Ava!" cried the twins, holding onto Moira's legs as they teared up.
Moira Rin softly cried and spoke, "My poor children, we must go see moms and see if they are safe."
She walked over to Abuela's corpse and took the rosary and Bible, crying, "If only you knew what I had done to protect you, I wish I was there sooner…"
Moira sternly looked at the kids, grabbed their bags, and took out a cell phone from the 2010s.
"Hello, this is Moira Rin speaking… Bring a limo to this address, we will be out soon, and also prepare some arrangements, an old friend's relative has recently passed away."
Amora and Andres were both saddened and confused. Moira just moved them over to the side and said.
"Amora, Andres, my two beautiful baby siblings. Your sister is okay, but never tell our moms that I am who I am, or else I will get an earful, so please."
Moira gives Abuela's Bible to Amora and said to them, "Be good and I will give you yummy treats. Now, Andres and Amora, hold on to me, please."
She forcibly smiled. It looked like a natural smile, but her smile gave off a slight glowing from her sharp-looking teeth. Moira gave the kids some blindfolds and lifted them. As she swung her arms gently to cradle the twins and she hears a car honking its horn. Moira became a walking, blinding light.
The limo towed the van as she entered the car. Some witnesses saw the whole incident, but the light made them go on about their day. Never questioning the light that became a temporary shroud of illusion into a state of calmness.
Moira and the kids entered the limo, and they drove off. Moira took off the children's blindfolds, and then Andres' eyes lit up.
"W-wow!! Miss!! Amora, look at this car!!", Andres exclaimed with surprise.
The little boy was easily excited with curiosity, asking, "What does this do?" and "Wow!" Moira was looking at Amora with concern as she went silent ever since they were in the car.
"Andres, here, have a soda." laughed Moira Rin.
She handed him a soda, which was almost impossible to get nowadays since it's only exclusive to the rich.
"But miss, can Amora have some of mine too? Here, you desoyve da firs sip 'mora!" asked Andres.
Andres looked at the straws and looked at Amora and offered his first soda sip to Amora. He smiled gently. Amora was looking at her brother while holding onto her Abuela's Bible and smiled.
"Oooo!!" yelled the children.
Moira poured the contents of the can into two cups from their care bag.
"Here you go, children." Moira said.
And passed them their first cups of sodas and saw them drink in surprise and delight.
"You know, our mom works for me, right?" Moira chuckled slightly.
"Waooow sis!! You lewk wike a soopa hero, too." said Andres, in excitement.
Amora stared at Moira with curiosity as to wondering if the person in front of her was her big sister.
"Thank you, Andres. Hopefully, we can help moms pack up their things and go to our new home," said Moira.
The limo halted at the front of their house and Moira stepped out, only being camouflaged and wearing shades. The kids are right next to her. Holding her hands, walking up the steps, and Moira enters the house with their key. The twins then ran off to find their moms in the living room.
"MAMI!!" they yelled, crying.
Moira went up the stairs to Ava's room and started packing her things as quickly as possible, the drawings in boxes, albums, clothes, and everything tech that she has in her room.
Moth Woman said, 'Moira, are you going to be, okay? Ava is recovering a bit, but I guess you did something reckless. Yo creo. '
Moira babbled, "Look, we both decided that it would be best to focus on getting our moms out of here and take our family away from here. I told Ava it would have been better to tell the family what she does instead of pushing herself to near exhaustion."
Footsteps were arriving closer to the room and Moira was too busy packing everything for Maria, and her mom opened the door in a panic.
"Ava!?!" yelled a voice.
It was Maria, her mom. Moira jumped and got into a defensive formation, and screamed.
"JESUS FISHING FRIES!!" screamed Moira Rin, spooked by the voice.
Maria was gasping for breath, and she looked up at Moira and saw her regain her composure. Moira fiddled with her clothes.
She introduced herself, and talked, "Maria Gonzalez, I am Moira Rin. CEO of Empath Incorporated. A pleasure to meet you, but we must hurry."
Maria was stuttering, "B-But where is my daughter? Ava?!"
Maria was feeling very flustered and confused and panicky. Maria put her hand on her forehead, attempting to understand the whole spiraling situation that was going out of control.
"She is alright, she is with me. I took her to a safe place, but we can all talk about this later. Where is your wife?" said Moira, comforting her Mama.
"She is outside, tending to the garden, Ma'am." said Maria, unable to process the current situation.
"Okay, tell her. Start packing. Let's not waste much time," Moira said with assurance.
Abuela's rosary shone around Moira's neck, and Maria trusted her for some odd reason. The parents began packing. All of their belongings were in a couple of suitcases and boxes. Ava was still trying to figure out the entire process, and Moira was becoming weaker when summoned for long periods.
'We have to hurry Moira, maybe call some backup?' said Ava, concerned about Moira's health.
Moira broke out in a sweat, enough to make her face wet.
"No! We must make sure no one knows who you are until you come back to the lab and your family would be safe." said Moira in a strained voice.
She went downstairs, and the workers brought the rest of the boxes into the moving trucks and looked at Maria and her family.
"Where are we going, Ms. Rin?! Why are you forcing us out of our home??" Brie exclaimed with rage.
"Mrs. Gonzalez, your daughter Ava, has been a partner for our company. Now, do you want to live in peace or not?!" yelled Moira.
The family was doubtful, scared, and concerned as they entered the limo. The limo went at full speed into the air traffic on the highway.
"Please Ava, wait a little longer." Moira accidentally talked to herself.
Maria notice her boss was sweating and struggling in pain.
"What is going on?! Maria, do you know what's happening?" Brie said with a very worrying and panicky tone.
Amora and Andres were currently resting their small heads on Brie's lap as the news was suddenly on at a low volume. Moira looked at both Maria and Brie with regret and grief and turned up the volume of the news channel. It showed a photo of both Maria's mother and the neighbor's photo. It brought Maria to tears in sheer silence and agony of what had happened.
Moira spoke with a tremble, "Mrs. Gonzalez, I-I am sorry I could not get there to save your mother, but I have brought her things. These items may be illegal to practice, but we all know they still hold memories."
She looked at Amora holding her Abuela's Bible and showing the rosary around her neck. Moira strained another smile and caresses Amora's face. Maria was furious, but doesn't know where to exert her anger.
"This belongs to you. I was keeping it safe, just in case." She said as Moira handed the rosary to Maria.
"How did my daughter get in touch with you? And how did you know we were in danger? We have nothing to do with this at all." said Maria, filled with fear and confusion.
"Once we get to the Ethereal City, I will explain everything." Moira told them.
The limo ascended towards the entrance that read: 'Welcome to Ethereal City!'
