Arashi awoke with a yawn, stretching his arms wide. 'Today's the day I show Shisui-Nii-san how far I've come,' he thought, a determined glint in his eyes.
"But first..." He quickly changed his clothes and headed for Shisui's room, the sound of gentle snoring reaching his ears. 'Still asleep?'
He approached the bed cautiously. "Shisui-Nii-san, wake up," he called softly, but there was no response. Undeterred, he gave Shisui a gentle shake.
"Hmm? What's going on?" Shisui mumbled, finally stirring from his slumber.
"Good morning, Nii-san," Arashi greeted cheerfully as Shisui rubbed his eyes and yawned.
"Morning," Shisui replied, swinging his legs off the bed to sit up.
Arashi perched on the edge of the bed, tilting his head in concern. "You look beat. Stayed up late?"
"Yeah, I had to visit Dad."
"You went without me? That's just unfair," Arashi pouted, turning his head away.
Shisui chuckled, lifting Arashi and carrying him towards the kitchen. "Well, waking me up this early isn't exactly fair either."
"Ha, ha, ha!" Arashi giggled, delighted by the unexpected piggyback ride.
After a quick breakfast, the brothers set out for the training grounds, their conversation flowing easily as they walked. A question that had been nagging at Arashi finally surfaced.
"Shisui-Nii-san?"
"What is it?" Shisui looked over at him, a curious glint in his eyes.
"Could you teach me how to deactivate my Dojutsu?" Arashi asked, his voice tinged with a hint of longing.
Shisui's eyebrows rose in surprise. "I know it's out of the blue, but I'm tired of seeing the world like this," Arashi confessed. "The texts say the Sharingan is derived from the Rinnegan, so maybe you could teach me how to deactivate mine."
Shisui paused, considering his brother's request. "Deactivating the Sharingan isn't complicated; it's almost like closing your eyes. As for your Rinnegan, I've been researching ways to help you control it. So far, I haven't found a way to turn them off completely, but I suspect it involves a significant degree of chakra control."
Arashi's eyes lit up with newfound determination. "So it boils down to mastering chakra control." He grinned, his confidence returning. "Now I know what I need to focus on. Thanks, Shisui-Nii-san!"
With a burst of energy, he darted ahead, his voice echoing back. "You're too slow; I'll beat you there!" He vanished in a blur, utilizing the Body Flicker Jutsu.
"Hey, wait up!" Shisui called, a playful smile on his face as he chased after his energetic brother.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Both brothers raced towards the training ground, arriving almost simultaneously. Shisui bent over, hands on his knees, catching his breath.
'He's improving so quickly,' Shisui thought, impressed. 'He's much faster than when I first taught him that technique.'
"You're still faster than me, Nii-san," Arashi observed, a hint of pride in his voice.
"At this rate, not for long," Shisui replied, straightening up and walking to the center of the field. He pulled out several kunai, infusing them with chakra. With a flicker, he vanished, reappearing mid-air, and flung the kunai in multiple directions.
Cling!
The kunai clashed in mid-air, altering their trajectories.
Thud!
Each kunai found its mark, embedding itself in the center of a target just as Shisui landed gracefully on the ground.
"That was incredible, Shisui-Nii-san!" Arashi exclaimed, his eyes wide with admiration.
"It's just an old technique Dad taught me," Shisui replied modestly.
"Dad could do that?" Arashi's surprise was evident.
"Absolutely," Shisui confirmed, a fond smile gracing his lips. "Who do you think taught me the Body Flicker Jutsu? He was an extraordinary shinobi, not just for his power but for his sheer courage. He'd face any number of enemies to ensure the mission's success."
"That's amazing," Arashi marveled, his respect for his father deepening.
"It definitely is," Shisui agreed, retrieving his kunai from the targets. "Now, come show me that ninjutsu you've been talking about."
"Alright." Arashi unsheathed his tanto and approached the center of the clearing. "Stand back, Nii-san. I haven't mastered control over this technique, and it's dangerous."
"Intriguing," Shisui mused, stepping back to give Arashi ample space. He watched with anticipation as Arashi prepared to unveil his creation.
Arashi swiftly executed the hand seals - Ox, Dog, Rat - and channeled a surge of chakra into his hand, tightly gripping his tanto. The blade crackled and extended, enveloped in a shimmering aura of lightning.
Shisui's eyes widened in surprise. 'That looks like Kakashi's Lightning Blade,' he thought, a mixture of awe and concern swirling within him.
Arashi's brow furrowed in concentration. 'Maybe if I infuse more chakra, I can make it lighter.' With another burst of chakra flowing into his opposite hand, he swung the tanto.
A blinding wave of lightning erupted, zigzagging through the air like a serpent of pure energy. It crashed into a massive stone, shattering it into countless fragments.
'This is better than my previous attempts,' Arashi thought, panting slightly, 'but I still can't... control it.'
BOOM!
The ground beneath them trembled as a delayed explosion rocked the training grounds. Shisui grabbed Arashi, their bodies flickering away just in time to avoid the brunt of the blast.
They landed a safe distance away, both panting heavily.
"Whew," Shisui exhaled, wiping the sweat from his brow as he sat down on a fallen log. "Arashi, that jutsu..."
Arashi sat beside him, eager yet apprehensive. "Well? What did you think? Wasn't it awesome?"
Shisui's expression turned serious. "Arashi, I don't think you should use that jutsu."
The words struck Arashi like a blow. "What? But didn't you see the damage I did?" He gestured towards the training grounds, now shrouded in smoke and the acrid scent of burnt earth.
Shisui remained silent, his gaze fixed on the devastation.
"Look!" Arashi insisted, his voice rising in frustration. "That jutsu is too destructive, Arashi!" Shisui finally spoke, his tone firm but gentle. "It almost killed both of us! It takes too much time to mold the right amount of chakra, and you could get killed in that time. Even if you solve that problem, you still need to control the lightning to prevent incidents like this."
He pulled up his sleeve, revealing a fresh burn on his forearm.
"You're hurt..." Arashi's voice trailed off, shame washing over him. 'I hurt him... and I got angry at him?'
"Damn it!" He clenched his fists, turning away to hide his tears. But before he could fully retreat into his own despair, Shisui's hand rested on his shoulder, a silent gesture of comfort and understanding.
"This isn't your fault, Arashi," Shisui reassured him, his voice gentle. "The jutsu just needs to be completed. I'm sure you'll master it. Even if it means getting hurt, I'll always risk myself for you."
Shisui turned Arashi around, their eyes meeting.
"I'm sorry, Shisui-Nii-san," Arashi mumbled, his voice thick with emotion.
Shisui ruffled his hair affectionately. "I will always love you, Arashi."
"Shisui-Nii-san..." Arashi's smile returned, and he hugged Shisui tightly, burying his face in his brother's chest. "Stop messing with my hair," he grumbled .
Shisui chuckled, his arms securely wrapped around Arashi. "I only mess with it because it's so much softer than mine."
"That's not my problem. I can't help it if I inherited Mom's hair and you got Dad's," Arashi retorted, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Shisui laughed heartily, squeezing Arashi for a moment. "Well, I can't argue with that."
Breaking away from the embrace, Shisui looked at Arashi with a renewed sense of purpose. "Hey, I'm going to train with Itachi. Want to come along?"
Arashi's eyes lit up. "Absolutely! Go kick his ass, Shisui-Nii-san!"
"Promise," Shisui said, a mischievous glint in his eyes. With a final pat on Arashi's head, he turned and headed towards the Uchiha training grounds, his determination unwavering.
