He could feel it when he entered, but he was too caught up with finding water he didn't ponder on it but now. he could clearly feel an sense the huge amounts of demon energy, everywhere in this cave.

"Weird.. The only planet I knew too have this much demon energy was planet vaanderwood. Where falcon and Elise came from." When Lilith his demon wife, had transported him from earth to vaanderwood, he could immediately feel the vast amount of demon energy in the air.

It was a great environment for him being a demon, and considering he used demon energy for his skills. It was great as he could easily absorb demon energy, and replenish it fast when in battle. But with the sudden change of events, he couldn't use his skills that frequently like before, as Lumia kingdom didn't have high amounts of demon energy but mana.

Unfortunately he couldn't use mana as it was still locked in his system tab, which made him wander if he could still be able to use it. As a demon according to the books he'd read on earth, they only had skills relating to dark sources and can use dark energy. But it would be very beneficial to him, if he could use both demon energy and mana simultaneously.

'Something's definitely strange about this cave.' With his advanced hearing, Kyle heard some light footsteps a bit farther from where he was, indicating he wasn't alone.

'Great.. just when I thought I could take a break for a while.' Kyle frowned, his frozen ice dragon katana in his hands. His senses were on high alert, prepared for any unwanted presence as he couldn't afford to make a mistake, or it could be his last.

'My body still hurts internally, so I need to wrap things up fast or I'll definitely suffer the repercussions of torn tissues.' Kyle thought touching his chest, as his body still hurt in pain from his previous battle. Not yet fully healed.

Stealthily making his way towards the sound, he was careful not to make a sound as he wanted to catch the creature off guard, and move in for a swift kill.

'I-is it eating?' Kyle could clearly hear some munching sounds, as he got closer to the spot. There was a huge boulder in front, separating him from the creature as he could tell it was there.

[Shadow walk activated!]

Using shadow walk as to not take any risks, his body became a shadow figure of himself but in shadows. He chose not to sink to the floor, as it took more demon energy. and he didn't have to worry about getting caught, as the dim lighting in the cave allowed him to blend perfectly.

Climbing the boulder Kyle stared downwards the other side, as his eyes befall on the source of the sound. There on the floor was a short figure, cloaked in dark hood.

'Is that a dwarf?' Kyle wasn't sure it was a dwarf or a goblin or some other creature, as he couldn't quite sense it's aura. Usually, humans and animals had different distinct aura's, same with demons and other mythological races. But this thing had a mixed weird aura.

'What's that in it's hands?' Kyle could see a small item in the figure's hand. He couldn't see it clearly, but it resembled a small clock compass. He could hear the figure muttering some strange foreign words, but thanks to his omniguilibsim skill he could understand it.

"The timing is almost near. Light is having it's last laugh, and soon darkness will take it's place as ruler of all." The weird creature crackled madly, in a croaked hoarse voice.

'Yep.. it's definitely not a dwarf.' Kyle frowned a bit irritated. The creature then got up, placing the dark compass to the side pocket of it's cloak.

'What's it waiting for?' When the strange creature had gotten up, Kyle had expected it to move or do something but it just stood there, staring ahead. It wasn't aware of Kyle's presence, as the latter did well to conceal his essence.

Few minutes later...

'Damn it! is it just going to stand there forever.' Kyle frowned impatient and tired of waiting. At first, he'd thought the strange creature was waiting for someone or something, but Kyle couldn't sense another presence nearby.

'Maybe I should just leave, there's no point staying here monitoring it. And it would be foolish to engage in a fight with it in this condition, without knowing what it is.' There were several reasons Kyle chose to stay. First was, he wanted to follow the creature in hopes of finding anything exciting, which could be of use to him. Second being plainly just to kill the creature, and see what rewards the system would grant him. And last which was the weirdest of all, being he just had a gut feeling to stay.

"Ahh! Forget it." Shaking his head Kyle was about leaving but stopped, seeing the creature bring out the strange dark compass earlier. Looking at it, the creature muttered some inaudible words. placing it back, and walking towards a particular direction.

'Finally it gets interesting..' trailing the creature behind from a safe distance, Kyle made sure to be as stealthily and quiet as he could.

'Even in shadow walk form, I can still be caught if that thing will is higher than mine.' Even though shadow walk concealed his presence to some extent, he couldn't afford to be relaxed as he could easily be detected by opponents, whose will are higher than his.

'The system notification didn't pop up as usual, could it be malfunctioning?' Kyle had expected to see the system screen pop up in his view, the moment he laid eyes on the strange creature like usual. He'd tried using demon eyes to trigger a description from the system, but unfortunately it was futile.

Kyle was still trailing the cloaked figure, as they'd passed some sides of the cave. They were currently on route, following the straight line of blue glowing water deeper into the cave. Kyle did well in using his battle experiences, and hiding behind some boulders proceeding with caution.

It didn't take that long before they reached the end of the water, as a small entrance the size of the creature laid in front.

'According to the movies.. entering a creepy cafe and following a strange cloaked figure, usually spilled the worst scenarios.' Shaking his head, he followed suit for the creature. He didn't have a problem getting in shadow form, as he simply passed through the wall.

-30 demon energy

[Demon energy: 17/50]

Passing through the wall had cost him a whooping 30 demon energy. It was a fair price to pay, considering he had such a cheat stealth skill. But he wasn't that bothered, as there was an abundance of demon energy he could absorb here.

[Absorbing demon energy!]

Hiding behind a boulder, kyle could see the figure had now stopped at the center, besides a huge pond. Soon under Kyle's eyes, other cloaked figures of three as the first emerged from a small hole.

"What took you so long timekeeper?" The new figure at the left angrily spoke, in a deep animalistic tone.

"I apologize void eater, but I was just making sure everything is in place for your arrival." The figure with the compass slightly bowed.

"Waste a second longer next time and it'll be your last." The one at the right coldly spoke, not messing around.

"There now reaper, we shouldn't be too harsh on the timekeeper. Afterall.. he's the one carrying this world's doomsday clock." The one in the middle indifferently said.

"Y-you're evilness.." the timekeeper bowed kneeling to the floor, seemingly worshipping him.

"Rise timekeeper, we have not much time left. What does the doomsday clock reads, is it almost time to end more lives?"

"Y-yes.. the time of absolute destruction of this world is almost at hand. Just a few more weeks, and darkness will cleanse this filthy world and create a new one, in the name of the one who sits on the throne." The creature said with an omnious tone, earning some light taps from the creature in the middle.

'What the hell are they talking about?' Kyle could clearly hear what they were talking about, but he didn't quite understand them. He heard them mention a world's doomsday clock, specifically this world. According to some novels he'd read, a world doomsday clock was as the name implied. A countdown to the destruction, of an entire world or planet.

Kyle didn't want to believe it was true, but something within him argued with his thoughts. As everything just seemed too complicated, and strange for him.

'If what they're saying is true, then this world doesn't have long before it and everything in it is annihilated.' Kyle thought, his face going pale.

[K-kyle..] when it seemed like things couldn't get more strange, he heard a voice in his head he hadn't heard in a long while.

'S-snow? No.. it can't be.'

[I-it's me Kyle. I don't know what happened,] but you have to leave her now it's not safe!] Snow shouted in his head with panic, making Kyle frown.

'A-are you kidding me, you finally speak to me and the first thing you say is run? Pfft.. I don't know if you've noticed, but I've gotten a lot stronger than before.' Kyle snorted, annoyed and happy at the same time.

[You don't understand Kyle. Those creature's in front aren't just any other beasts. They're necrolites! Rank E demons created by Lucifer himself!] Snow internally screamed, making Kyle's eyes twitch upon hearing her.
