"Looks like you were right, we have some intruders." Falcon softly said staring ahead. Her composure was calm not changing in the slightest, only a soft smile was planted on her lips.
"You four, what happened? and why are you standing there!" Kane yelled his veins bulging, his anger was boiling the more as he looked at the foxmen with dead expressions.
"Get out of here or die!" Jober threatened with a disgusted look, shocking the others. He wasn't fazed in the slightest by their powerful auras, he only had one master and that was Kyle.
"Are you mad boy!" Kane screamed, this time his aura excluding more powerfully from his body. He knew something bad had happened to the village, and he wasn't there to stop it. the thought of failure coursed through his mind, enraging him more.
"I won't ask again, leave or die!" Jober spoke with a dark expression, gripping his spiked bat tightly.
'Someone's crossed the line.' Falcon gently chuckled, seeing kane's body vibrating with rage about to explode.
'Something's not right here~' Unlike Kane who was irrational, she had some bit of reasoning than the tempered individual. Looking closely at their eyes she could see they weren't normal, having a dull expression like someone possessed. She knew there were abilities that could alter and control one's mind, but she'd never seen one in action before.
'It must be him.' Falcon smiled inwardly. the person that immediately came to her mind, was the young male human prisoner. It fitted perfectly! he had a skill which allowed him to travel different planets, so he must definitely also have one which could control people's minds.
'But why didn't he use it on me?' Falcon questioned, if Kyle really had that powerful skill then why didn't he use it on her? Or why didn't he use it in the beginning, to easily conquer their settlement. It would've definitely made it easier for him, instead of going through this whole stage of being captured and all.
'He must definitely be planning something else.' Falcon concluded. she didn't know anything about Kyle or his skills, but she determined a few possibilities. If he didn't use his mind control skill on her, it must mean it either had some requirements or cool down of such. And the most plausible thought she was leaning to, was he had some sort of bigger scheme in mind he wanted to accomplish.
'What are you up to human?' Falcon thought. she didn't know for sure what he was up to, but she knew one thing for sure. She was sure as hell going to see it for herself, as the curtains are being rolled up.
'That's it, you're all dead!" Kane screamed charging forward, creating small foot craters wherever he stepped.
"Kane wait!" Falcon tried to stop the latter but she was too late, he'd already gone on a mad rampage.
"Kill him." Jober coldly said, as the others also held their weapons in their hands. Kane had a much larger bulky body build than the rest of the fox people, so his speed wasn't that fast for his race. But it didn't matter, as what he lacked in speed he made up for it tremendously in strength. Every fiber in his body was full of strength, as he punched his way out of every difficult situation. He was like a metal tank, moving with the force of an rocket going to the sky into orbit.
"Die!" Jober yelled, swinging his bat with speed at Kane. The distance between the two weren't far, so Kane had reached them within little time. Kane's eye moved with jober's strike seeing the spiked bat coming for him straight to his head, stretching his hand he simply caught it holding it firmly stopping it in place.
"You stupid traitor!" He yelled sending out a fist fast. Jober could feel the amount of force the punched packed, as it cut through the air. He knew it was over for him if that punch landed anywhere on his body, leaving his weapon he stepped back a little dodging the blow thanks to his speed.
"Argh!" Kane screamed with rage, he wanted to crush something and fast. The other three foxmen didn't stay still either, dueling their weapons at Kane. Because of their agility it gave them a bit of advantage over Kane, as they were fast dealing attacks to his body.
One of the foxmen held a sword using it to slash at the ribs of Kane, then stepping away in time before the latter caught hold of him. The one with a spear continuously strikes at him from a decent angle a bit far, while the one with a small knife slashed at his back. Even though they dealt attacks to Kane his body was just to hard, for any serious damage to be done to him from their weapons.
"Stop running so I can smash you heads!" Kane yelled trying to get hold of one of the annoying flies buzzing all over him, he wasn't worried about their attacks because he was confident in his body.
"Keep on attacking!" Jober commanded, his weapon had now been destroyed by Kane so he was left unarmed. He could only use his claws to scratch at kane's back, but it did little to no damage at all.
'As long as she stays out of the fight, we should be fine.' Jober thought, glancing at falcon who just stood there with a smile on her face. Kane was on the same level of power as falcon but he was lacking in speed, they were lucky he didn't use any weapons only his brute strength. But falcon on the other hand was well matched in strength and speed, and she used a dangerous weapon which suited her perfectly.
'I just have to buy enough time for master.' Jober said to himself. he was going to stall as long as possible to buy Kyle time, so he could complete what he needed.
......
Meanwhile back in Elise illusion spell, a dense thick black fog spiralled to the air infused by a dark flame burning violently. Kyle had exhausted his demon energy, shooting dark flames to the fox villagers. he'd given Elise command, to handle the incineration of the fox men and women at the left, while he handled the right.
'Shit! I didn't expect them to come this early.' Kyle muttered. everything was going so smoothly as he and Elise along with Felix, worked in harmony feeding his dark flames.
'They won't last that long.' Kyle knew they were no match for falcon and Kane, so he didn't rely on them much. He was happy Elise illusion spell hid the flames and smoke, as it bought him more time to complete his quest without being interrupted.
[Number of people's killed: 410/500]
'J-just a little more time~' he was almost done with the requirements, and there was no stopping it now.
.....
'Clang! clang!' Jober with the three other of Kyle's puppet were fairing well, relying solely on their speed. With the right opportunity they'd strike attacks to Kane stepping away, this was the tactic they came up with which sides them well.
"Enough!" Kane roared, at the right time he caught hold of the foxman slashing at his chest with the sword. Not giving him time he swung his fist fast at the latter, his punch made small bang noises going through the air.
'Bam!' His fist connected to his head exploding it to bits, immediately scattering blood and brain tissues all over. The two foxmen were stunned a little by this, but that was just the small mistake Kane waited for.
"You're all dead now." Kane smiled, grabbing the foxman behind him and forcefully slamming him into the ground, crushing every bit of bone in his body.
"N-no~" the one with the spear, shakily spoke under his breath. just like that, two of his comrades had been killed from a single blow of this being.
"Don't be distracted.. focus-" jober yelled but alas it was too late, Kane had already ripped him in half. For a moment there was a look of doubt on jober's face, questioning his purpose here.
'I did my best master, hope you get what you want.' Jober bitterly smiled shaking his head he then ran forward at Kane his claws out, there was no regrets in his eyes.
"Haha! how pathetic~" Kane mockingly laughed at jober's futile attempts, he was just another bug to be crushed. Jober ran forward slashing his claws at kane's body not stopping, his eyes were filled with rage and sadness as he exerted all his anger.
'Bam!' Kane stomped his foot hard crushing all the bones in jober's left leg, he tried attacking with his hands but Kane held them firmly, crushing them in his grip.
"It's for you to die traitor." Kane grinned evily, raising his fist up about to deal the finishing blow to jober.
"Wait!" Falcon suddenly shouted stopping him.
"What? Don't tell me you've grown soft falcon." Kane frowned upset, as to why falcon had abruptly stopped him in his attack.
"I haven't.. and unlike you, I have a brain I use." Falcon coldly said staring at Kane, as she reached his side.
"Is there a particular reason you stopped me?" Kane grumbled impatiently, wanting to kill jober badly.
"Well genius. If you killed him now then how will we know where the villagers are, or whoever did this here? As far as am concerned, there isn't any villagers around with zero signs of the culprit. and you've managed to kill all the people who did, So if you don't mind I would like to know what actually happened here." Falcon gently said making Kane frown more, he didn't like when someone told him he was wrong.
"Fine!" He shrugged harshly dropping jober to the floor, crossing his arms in disappointment.
"Thanks~" falcon smiled crouching down to jober's face, a sweet smile plastered all over her face.
"I know you've been put under a mind control spell." Jober's eye lit up a bit as falcon spoke those words, but they immediately dwindled his dead lifeless expression returning.
"And I also know it's one of the prisoners, all I need from you is their location so they can be punished." Falcon softly whispered into jober's ears, causing him to scoff spitting to the floor.
"I don't know anything, and even if I did I would never tell you." Jober calmly spoke.
"I know you feel threatened but we're here to help you, I promise all will be forgiven once we find them." Falcon assured but jober's mind was set, he wasn't going to betray Kyle ever.
"Haa~" Falcon sighed getting up. she was a little upset she couldn't get through to jober's head, she knew the control was highly effective but still she had some hope.
"Oh well. I thought I could free you, but it seems the only way for you to be free is through death." She shook her head slowly walking away from jober, she would have to find another source of information.
"You can kill him now." She said to Kane, who had a creepy smile on his face. Lifting jober up a bit, both his hands were on the latters head slowly squeezing tightly.
"Argh!" Jober screamed loudly feeling his head being squished into bits, there was nothing he could do. Tears filled his eyes seeing his life slipping from him, he had no regrets helping Kyle.
"Stop!" A voice shouted behind.
"Now what?" Turning round they saw a male human with a bloodied body, besides him was a girl the same age as him in an not so good condition. And also besides this human was a fox man ally, standing with him.
"I knew it was you.." falcon cheerfully smiled clapping her hands together, her eyes all lit up seeing Kyle suddenly appear.
"And who are you?" Kane asked in disdain, with a smug smirk on his lips. Just when he thought he was done exterminating the bugs, another three had suddenly showed up from nowhere.
"I won't ask again." Kyle boldly uttered, clenching his fists. Jober seeing the trio come to his aid had a glimmer of hope, tears streaming down his eyes as help had arrived.
