Romilda woke up to hear a loud bang on her door, she wondered who else would visit her apart from Mia, who already has a key to her house.
"bam, bam, bam," the knock on her door became louder.
"I'm coming," she spoke out, getting off her bed and wearing her flip-,flops, before scurrying downstairs to get the door.
"you..." Romilda was astonished to see Ian in front of her door, he had a blank expression on his face like he didn't even want to be there.
"It's Ian, not you," he snapped at her,
"what are you doing here," she wasn't expecting him to come, she woke up this late because the wasn't school today.
"I'm your substitute after class dummy, don't be so full of yourself," she already guessed that him being her substitute was the reason, but he shouldn't be acting so stuck up.
"I didn't know you will be coming to my house, and how do you even know where I live,"
"who doesn't know about the girl that was found in the woods, look I don't even want to be here, but I have to be for some reason, so don't think too much about it," I wonder what his reason was, he didn't seem to like the idea of being my substitute before.
"you can come inside, but you'll have to wait for me to go to the bathroom and do my morning routines,"
"yeah, you should focus more on your mouth areas,"
"ohhh, is my mouth smelling that bad," Romilda asked, covering her mouth with her hands.
"your drool is all over your mouth," he told me harshly,
"I really should go to the bathroom now,"
"I can't believe I even have to wait for you," he murmured, taking a seat on the available chair he saw.
"I'm sorry," Romilda apologized in a squeaky tone, hurrying upstairs to the bathroom, she took her shower quickly before walking to her wardrobe as she selected a Pink long dress with matching flip-flops to put on.
Mia had placed a lot of clothes and shoes in her wardrobe, so she didn't have to wait for her to bring her clothes anymore.
she went downstairs to meet Ian grumbling by himself, "you don't have to feel so frustrated," Romilda chuckled.
"Are you done now,"
"yes, so... what are you going to be coaching me on today,"
"still magical music,"
"but I don't have any instrument,"
"here you go," he said performing some magic as a long violin appeared in Romilda's hands, which made her stunned.
"How did you do that?" she inquired, with wide eyes and curved eyebrows that brought wrinkles across her forehead.
"It's magic, babies like you still need to learn," Romilda's face dropped, she felt insulted by what Ian, he gave out a devilish smirk, satisfied with her reaction.
"Okay, you can start tutoring me now," Romilda said, causing Ian began to laugh but stop when she glared at him with dilated nostrils.
"what's funny,"
"We can't do it inside your house, we might break something,"
"so where are we going to s...," Romilda and Ian were standing outside a field before she could complete what she wanted to say.
"How did you do that," she couldn't stop blinking, gaping her jaws as she turn round to satisfy her disbelief.
"I teleported us without using any Portal, baby witches like you won't know how that is done,"
'no wonder why Mrs. Hilary chose him to be my tutor,' she thought to herself.
"pick up your violin and start playing," he instructed, bringing out his flute.
"Really, I taught you were going to do some practice for me to see, you know I'm not good at playing the violin," Romilda now viewed him as a bad teacher.
"you seem good at it during classes,"
"which tone am I going to play?"
"make one yourself,"
"and don't forget, try to connect yourself with the emotions of what you're playing to,"
"Like you?"
"No..., your surrounding, that's why I brought you out here dummy,"
"how about you try it first, so I'll get what you're saying," Romilda demanded, annoyed at how he was calling her a dummy, without any basic teaching.
"fine, just know that I don't like repeating myself twice," he began to play his flute with a euphonious tone, at first nothing happened but later she felt a strong wind blowing towards their direction lifting the dry leaves that surrounded their bodies, flowers began to blossom as butterflies with flamboyant colors filled the places.
"wow, how did you do it," Romilda asked fascinated at how beautiful the garden had become.
"Like I said try to connect with your environment,"
"feel it through you," he snapped, glaring at Romilda, who was now scared of asking any more questions, she gently nodded her head, placing her violin as she began to play.
she tried to keep calm and feel like how he instructed her, but she always seems to get distracted, she began to feel sweaty and hot.
"focus Romilda," she said to herself, playing the violin harder and harder than before, suddenly a fire erupted from the violin to the field and began to burn everywhere.
"wow, I think I've done it," she squeak, looking at her environment awkwardly.
" no idiot, you destroyed the entire place, thanks goddess I was able to escape if not, you would have burned me to death," Ian was yelling at her.
"let me try again," she said, placing the violin to play again,
"Don't, who knows what you're going to do next," he bellowed angrily, before walking away, leaving depressed Romilda all to herself.
Mia came during the day to see Romilda looking all gloomy and can't help but get worried.
She considers her as a friend and wouldn't want anything to happen to her, nobody wanted to be friends with her due to her parent's reputation In the past, she doesn't know if Romilda will avoid her too if she knew about it, but for now, she's willing to protect her only friend at all cost.
"What happened to you," Mia said getting closer to hug her.
"I didn't do well during my training," Romilda whimpered, pouting her face as she leaned her head on Mia's shoulder.
"What did you do,"
"I destroyed everywhere with my magic today," she explained as Mia began to laugh at her.
"Why are you laughing,"
"because most people like me didn't do well on their first day and you're complaining about what you did,"
"but I destroyed everywhere and almost hurt Ian who came to tutor me,"
"Magic is magic, whether it's good or bad, you still did what others can't do on their first day, don't be too hard on yourself," Mia said, slapping Romilda's cheek playfully.
"Thanks for being here for me, you like a sister I have never had," what Romilda said made Mia's heart warm, she was happy Romilda saw her that way.
"and thanks for being my friend," Mia said, giving Romilda a warm, long hug.
