Chapter 153 - Abyssal palm

"Is this even a chain, it's even more fragile than a thread!" Xuanyuan chuckled as the battlefield went on.

"Since you want to play with chains, I'll help you" Xuanyuan said as he pointed to the sky.

As he did this, the sky changed colors as an oppressive aura filled the atmosphere, then numerous chains emerged and lunged at Ghosthand who hurriedly dodged and blocked with his spells. But he could only dodge so much before he got thoroughly bounded by the chains. He could only watch this time as the chains dragged him up and left him suspended in the sky.

Everyone, whether from the Myriad storm sect or the Dominion sect involuntarily sucked in a breath of cold air with terrified looks on their faces. This was because Ghosthand was by far the strongest individual on the battlefield and even the two Sect masters aren't his match.

They couldn't even begin to fathom how strong the individual that could easily incapacitate Ghosthand is.

And what's even more terrific is that Xuanyuan is a tier below Ghosthand emperor.

Myriad storm Emperor gazed at Xuanyuan silently. He never thought this little kid will be his sect's savior later in life when he showed him the way to Divine sky city. But now he'd returned as a tier 3 King who could capture a half step tier 5 with just a few moves. That means he'd already grown far stronger than he is. He couldn't help but praise his son who made friends with this legendary figure.

As for the folks from Dominion sect, they all had ugly expressions on their faces at the moment. They had been so confident in crushing the Myriad storm sect with the help of Ghosthand Emperor but Xuanyuan had arrived and turned the tables against them. Whatever is going to happen now will depend on Xuanyuan who's currently the strongest on the battlefield.

"We should retreat quickly Sect master!" the elders of the Dominion sect voiced out to their sect Master.

"What's the point?" he sighed. If they retreated, Xuanyuan could just attack their sect and with his unfathomable strength, none of them could defeat him...

Everybody held their breath as they quietly waited for what Xuanyuan would do.

"I do not plan to kill anyone here" Xuanyuan said. "But since the Dominion sect attacked first, you have to compensate the Myriad storm sect for the losses they've suffered" he added.

"Thank you" Dominion Emperor said sincerely. After all this outcome was quite favorable for them and he doubted he'd have done the same if he was on his shoes. As for compensating the Myriad storm sect, that was a light punishment compared to actually exterminating the whole Dominion sect.

"I agree to this arrangement too" Myriad storm Emperor also nodded in understanding. Although they were the victors this time, it was all possible only because of Xuanyuan's timely assistance. So he agreed with whatever arrangement Xuanyuan decided on. As for the grudge between their two sects, that would be resolved on a later date.

"Good. You may leave now" Xuanyuan said and the folks from the Dominion Emperor prepared to return to their sect but a low chuckle made them halt their steps. Everyone present on the battlefield turned to the figure bounded by chains above the ground. He was tightly bound by the chains which will not budge no matter how hard he tried. But he didn't have the expected look of despair and frustration. Instead he had an evil expression on his face that resembled that of someone who's about to do something extremely bad.

"I'm surprised that such a young sword King like you could overpower me in this manner" Ghosthand said "But if you think that's enough to kill me, you're sorely mistaken. You should be honored that you forced me to reveal this spell to the world" He added and then began chanting in an ancient language.

Subsequently, the ambient Mana began gathering around him and pouring into his body. It was obvious that he was about to release an extremely powerful spell. Xuanyuan frowned when he sensed the power being gathered in front of Ghosthand. It was so frightening that even the Mana chains he'd manifested previously shattered.

"Oh no! It's the Abyssal palm! Watch out!" The two sect Masters cried when they saw a gigantic palm taking shape in the sky.

The Abyssal palm was a powerful tier 5 curse that was famous for its terrifying power of destruction and could obliterate a city inhabitated by millions of people when casted. Even though it was categorized as a tier 5 curse, it power had undoubtedly reached the entry level of tier standard and could annihilate the souls of weaker targets.

Ghosthand naturally wasn't capable of casting such a powerful spell under normal conditions. But by utilizing a forbidden technique, he barely managed to cast the spell but the backlash is that he'd be temporarily weakened to the basic tier 4 standard.

The faces of the two sect masters paled as they saw the wicked smile on Ghosthand's face. The power of the Abyssal palm was far stronger than any tier 4 skill or spell any of them can cast. The two sect Masters naturally had no way to counter the spell and should it be allowed to land, anyone within the range of it's area of effect will die. NPCs were unlike players that had unlimited resurrection so far as their immortal spirits remained intact.

Just as the enormous Abyssal palm began it's descent, Xuanyuan suddenly unsheathed one of his swords which unleashed a frightening aura of destruction as he swung it at the oncoming palm.

A deafening sound rang out as the sword and palm collided generating a powerful shockwave that can be felt from miles away. Even a small mountain nearby was razed to the ground. A figure shot down like a cannonball and landed firmly on the ground. Everyone else was relatively unharmed but they still lost large amounts of HP. Those who were below tier 4 suffered grave injuries and are in a critical condition. This shows how powerful the collision had been.

Ghosthand had a terrified look on his face as he saw the figure who slowly appeared in his view.

"A tier 5 curse sure is powerful!" Xuanyuan exclaimed as he examined his disheveled appearance and the broken Epic sword in his hand. The attack was no doubt too powerful for the sword.

He raised his head only to see everyone including the two sect masters and Ghosthand Emperor looking at him as if they were looking at a monster!

Abyssal hand was a tier 5 curse whose power was at the tier 6 standard and Even bonafide tier 5 existences would have to tread carefully before it. Even though the full power of the spell wasn't unleashed due to being casted by a tier 4 existence, it still possess tremendous power that'll strike fear in anybody below tier 5. Yet Xuanyuan had completely blocked the attack and emerged unharmed only losing about 20% of his HP which was already being regenerated at a frightening rate...
