"Good" The first Saint replied and began making weird hand seals that Xuanyuan found difficult comprehend. What followed were cracking sounds in space as an old book hovered in front of Xuanyuan. This book was rather tattered and it radiated a strange aura that made Xuanyuan feel as if he was peering through the depths of time itself. He knew this book wasn't normal at first glance as he couldn't appraise it even after he activated his
"Place your palm on it" the first Saint ordered.
Xuanyuan nodded and placed his right hand on it. The book didn't react at first but suddenly it radiated a frightening aura as it disintegrated revealing a spatial fissure that led to an unknown place.
The Saints felt reluctant to order Xuanyuan to enter. After all, the only thing they knew about the book was that only Xuanyuan could activate it. They had no idea what where the fissure led to or what he'd encounter inside.
"I'll go" Xuanyuan said and he stepped into the fissure.
"Be careful" the Saints shouted after him...
Xuanyuan felt himself drifting in the turbulence of time and space eventually landed in a strange dimension that wasn't even recorded on the system map. What's even worse is that he couldn't contact anyone in the outside world.
Xuanyuan's attention wasn't on the notification he just heard, rather he was troubled by this new environment. The Mana density in this legacy land was so thin that Xuanyuan felt he could drain all Mana in a 500 yard radius by executing
For him who relied on his Mana to fight, this place felt rather suffocating. He didn't know what kind of trial awaited him in this place but he knew that he was going to have a hard time completing this trial. This was probably the most dangerous situation he'd ever faced in the Realm of spirituality.
What baffled him further was how his innate abilities like the
Level: ?? HP: ?? Tier: ??
Xuanyuan narrowed his eyes at the three warriors. In this situation, he couldn't use much Mana to fight so he had to act cautiously. He didn't even know how dangerous his opponents were so he had to access their combat power first.
One of them suddenly moved and attacked Xuanyuan who dodged to the side and followed up with a strike of his own. Since his Epic ranked weapon had passive Mana gathering abilities, he could execute Magical strikes without actively controlling Mana.
Xuanyuan frowned when he saw that his weapon actually passed through the Soul warrior without dealing any damage.
"What?!" He exclaimed in astonishment but before he could react, the second warrior had already swung its sword striking him from behind. Xuanyuan revealed a pained expression as he hurriedly distanced himself from the warriors.
It was possible to feel pain in the Realm of spirituality, but this pain that occurs from receiving damage is only in form of a light stinging sensation even if a sword actually pierced through your heart. But in this situation, the pain he felt wasn't just a minor sting, it was as if he'd actually been struck by a real sword. But as if a joke was being played on him, he didn't lose HP or bleed even after he suffered such a painful attack. If one looked at him, it's as if the attack never struck him. But deep within, he could feel his head spinning and his mind warning him to avoid getting struck at all costs.
The warriors moved again and sent two sword lights are Xuanyuan who casted a defensive blade to protect himself but strangely, the sword lights went through the blade unhindered and struck him.
"That's painful!" Xuanyuan cried as he widen the distance between the warriors and himself further. He couldn't afford to clash directly with the warriors especially not when his skills are utterly useless against them.
"I need to find a way to deal with them" Xuanyuan muttered. "I won't be able to leave this place if I don't" He continued. Now, he wished for nothing than to get out of this annoying place and return when he gets stronger. Those soul warriors are way above his league right now.
The warriors weren't going to sit by and watch Xuanyuan contemplate how to deal with them. They dashed forward and began sending numerous sword lights at Xuanyuan who used
Xuanyuan couldn't help but regret coming to this place as the sword lights that threatened to rip his soul apart as they struck him. Under such intense pain, he couldn't keep his thoughts straight let alone execute his skills properly. But he didn't stop thinking. In this situation, he had to stay focused and find a way to deal with this monsters. Only then can he leave this place.
Time flew by and it's been an hour since Xuanyuan had been fighting with the soul warriors without making any progress regarding how to deal with them. Perhaps because he knew his life depended on dodging their strikes, he became more focused and paid more attention to his movements in order to reduce the number of strikes he received.
