Chapter 41 - Tower of evaluation (2)

Xuan Yuan didn't stop there. He raised his finger and the nine Swordmen burned his Flames as they lost HP every passing second. They struggled fiercely in the river of flames but alas, their actions only served to expose more of their body parts to the burnings. And that was how Xuan Yuan quickly slayed the Swordmen with almost no effort.

Xuan Yuan left the second tower with his EXP bar 70% filled. He will soon level up to level 41...

As he arrived at the third level, the enemies were now 3 Tier 2 Sword masters. Because Xuan Yuan was a Tier 1 Swordman, the opponents he was supposed to face at the higher levels of the Tower decreased significantly.

Sage Yuan (clone) Level 60 (Tier 2)

HP: 50000

And that's how Xuan Yuan began another round of a big fight with the Sword Masters...

Meanwhile, in the core room of the Holy Temple. Eight NPC figures with overbearing auras sat on Eight thrones that hovered in the room with a light screen showing Xuan Yuan's trial to the eight.

If Xuan Yuan was present, he'd be astonished. Because those who sat on the hovering thrones in the room were True powerhouses standing on the peak of Spirituality. The weakest among them was a Ordinary Tier 5 Saints. Among them, there were five ordinary Tier 5 Saints and three peak Tier 5 Saints. Such a force can set up a big NPC Guild in any Kingdom or Empire without any problem.

"The Kid brought by the Jade Spear Emperor is quite skilled!" One of the Saints said as he gazed at Xuan Yuan's figure in the screen.

"Quite skilled?" Another Tier 5 Saint questioned. "His Mana control is at the very peak of Tier 4, and you say he's quite skilled?"

"No matter how powerful his Mana control, his limit will probably be at the 4th or 5th level"

Another Saint said.

"4th level? He might not even be able to conquer this third level!" Another Saint disagreed!

"It doesn't matter how many level he's able to conquer. Just his Peak Tier 4 Mana control is enough to describe how monstrous his talents are. Remember he's only a Tier 1 Swordman now. What will happen if he becomes an Emperor or a Saint?" A Saint said wisely.

"Let's just watch then..." The second Saint added. "We'll decide later on" ...

Xuan Yuan casted ninefold defensive blades again and blocked the attacks of the 3 Sword Masters.

He gathered mana and casted his stealth skill. In the Realm of spirituality, Assassins' stealth skill was considered Godly because it allowed a Assassin to remain hidden for as long as he wished with little to no cooldown but the only downside was that, during the brief moment an Assassin attacks, his location would be exposed! Although this was not exploitable by ordinary players but for experts, it was enough to successfully defend the Assassin's attack and even counterattack.

When Xuan Yuan activated the Stealth skill, he immediately disappeared from his opponent's view who stopped attacking since they've lost their target. They looked around aimlessly searching for Xuan Yuan but to no avail.

Suddenly, there was a cutting sound as one of the Sword Masters suddenly received a strike that claimed away over 10% of his HP. Subsequently, piercing sounds continued sounding out as the Sword Masters were being attacked by someone they couldn't see!

There was a saying that went thus; "The most dangerous enemy was not the seen but the unseen!"

Xuan Yuan's stealth skill was much stronger than that of ordinary Assassins. Whether it be when he attacks, his location is not exposed as he could attack unceasingly without being seen. Such an existence will become someone feared by players, Assassins included.

Xuan Yuan continued attacking them nonstop and after about 10 mins, they reluctantly fell to Xuan Yuan's ruthless assaults...

Xuan Yuan sighed in relief as he watched the Sword Masters die. 'These opponents were already frightening enough, how much terrifying will those at higher levels be?' He thought. He even doubted whether he'd complete the Quest of proving worthiness.

He rested for a while before continuing to the next floor.

In this room, Xuan Yuan saw a clone of himself stand quietly in the Hall. It was a Tier 3 Sword King! such an existence is qualified to rule a town in the game. Yet now he's supposed to fight such an existence in a trial...

Xuan Yuan didn't charge forward recklessly as he did in the previous trials. He calmly studied the Magic arrays the Sword King's body was covered in. It was a Mana body that resembled that of the Official in the Jade Spear manor.

Mana bodies were the foundation of strength in the Realm of spirituality. That was the dividing line that separated Tier 2 from Tier 3. It was also the main factor in deciding a player's strength in higher Tiers. Some players might not make it into Tier 4 because of their weak Mana bodies.

There were also differences between Mana bodies. Their ranks were Basic, Silver, Gold and Epic Mana bodies. Ordinary Tier 3 Kings with a Basic Mana body only have a small chance in reaching Tier 4 in the future. Even some with silver Mana bodies would never become a Saint. As for Tier 6, those with Silver Mana Bodies only have a slim chance as only one in a million will successfully ascend to Tier 6 with such a Mana body. Those with Basic Mana bodies practically have no chance at all...
