Chapter 26 - Skills replication

After acquiring the Epic title, his Affinity with Mana has increased and he could now sense Mana with 100% clarity. Now controlling Mana wasn't difficult and he could easily gather the Mana around towards himself with just a thought.

He began trying to expend his range of control which wasn't so difficult either. After breaching the highest difficulty encountered while learning Mana control. Other things became easy as the range of his Mana control increased every passing passing second...

After training for about an hour, his range of Mana control had already extended to about 500 metre radius around himself. Now, even without actively controlling Mana, he could still sense see everything within 100 metre radius around him.

If not because of the Magic arrays around the room, he'd have been able to see clearly what was going on in other rooms...

Speaking of Magic arrays, his interest was piqued. He had purchased a book containing detailed explanation about Magic arrays and how they are drawn.

Magic arrays are some kind of symbols drawn together to produce different effects. For example an expert in Mana control could condense a sword directly with Mana. But someone else would draw a Magic array meant for condensing a sword and use Mana to activate it. The difference is just like the difference between someone who went to school and acquired his certificate and another who simply bought his certificate. For Xuan Yuan even after achieving Mana control, it's still difficult for him to condense things directly with Mana.

The array symbols are a kind of strange language in the Realm of spirituality. A Magic scroll could be formed from the same symbols but would produce different effects due to the difference in their arrangements. These Magic scrolls are like a ready made formations that would simply require fueling with mana to activate.

Condensing skills directly was easier said than done and there were even some skills that require Arrays to be executed.

For example, Wind Blade was a movement that require an Array to be executed.

Even spells of Mages and healers were executed with Magic arrays. At lower Tiers, spells require incantations to activate but in reality the incantations were just strings of array symbols that gather together to activate the spell. At higher Tiers, Players are able to condense the spells with Mana or draw the Magic scrolls with their staffs to execute the skills. There was even the Mana scribing ability that allow players to directly inscribe Magic arrays with Mana...

Xuan Yuan stood up and focused his attention on his whole body as he activated

Mana gathered on his legs automatically and formed a Magic array that increased his movement speed drastically.

Xuan Yuan ran across the room as he continued executing Wind Blade trying to get a feel of the Magic array being created when the skill is executed.

He tried to mimic the array being formed several times but failed at first until he eventually managed to form the Magic array.

Xuan Yuan let out a low shout as he ran at frightening speed across the room with Wind Blade with the Magic array he formed. He ran continuously for more than one minute which was more than the skill duration of wind blade.

'I did it!' Xuan Yuan exclaimed. When he had mimicked the Magic array formed when executing Wind Blade, he managed to replicate the skill itself and use it continuously for more than the skill duration with no Cooldown as long as he could continue fueling the skill with Mana...

He gathered his attention and began trying to replicate Defensive Blade until he managed to replicate the skill forming a tight defensive Blade around himself for longer periods also without Cooldown.

'When I replicated the skills and activated it, the power they exhibited was more than what they could exhibit normally' He thought after replicating all the skills in his arsenal.

In the Realm of spirituality, the biggest difference separating each Tier was their Mana quality which increases as Mana control improved. For example, Chop when executed by a Tier 2 Sword Master will only exhibit ordinary powers at Tier 2 standard. But if a Tier 4 Sword Emperor were to execute Chop with Tier 4 Mana quality, the power exhibited was countless times stronger than that executed by the Sword Master even if the same amount of Mana was gathered.

This is because, the Mana quality of a Tier 2 Sword Master is not comparable to that of a Tier 4 Sword Emperor at all! Just a strand of Mana from a Tier 4 Sword Emperor is enough to overpower a Tier 2 Magic scroll which would allow such scroll to exhibit power beyond the limits of Tier 2.

Likewise a Tier 2 Sword Master executing a Tier 4 Skill will not exhibit power as strong as that of a Tier 4 Sword Emperor. In fact the difference is such that, the power of a Tier 2 skill executed by a Sword Emperor is several folds stronger than that of a Tier 4 Skill executed by a Sword Emperor. That's the stark difference in Mana quality...

This Mana quality increases as the Mana control improves. Xuan Yuan's Mana control is currently at the Tier 4 Basic standard so he currently possess Tier 4 Basic Mana quality. In fact with Mana control range of 500 metre, he already could match some powerhouses with Tier 4 intermediate Mana control. The power he could exhibit with his Tier 0 and Tier 1 skills was much stronger than before he could wield Mana. At this stage he could be said to invincible and no other player could compare to him. Just his Overwhelming Sword Mana technique could slay a Team of Tier 1 players with no problem especially now that his range of control has increased...
