The next day...
Third POV:
Shou woke up the next morning in Zetsu's bed. Zetsu was hugging Shou.
"Eh, uh, why am I in Zetsu-san's bed," Shou thought.
"Cebris," Shou whispered.
Cebris sighed.
"Last night you had a little too much to drink," he said.
"What do you mean, I don't remember drinking anything?"
"Well after drinking three glasses of whiskey over ice, you suddenly started acting very drunk."
"Eh?"
Zetsu woke up and saw that he was hugging Shou. He saw Shou's face and he immediately jumped out the bed.
"S-Shou-chan, " he said.
"D-did I do anything last night, to Shou-chan, Cebris, " He shouted.
"No, even under the influence of alcohol you maintain your composure. Although, Shou wouldn't leave your side after drinking that much, and he climbed into bed with you. You hugged him in your sleep, and that's how you two woke up this morning."
Shou blushed red and covered his face.
"I'm sorry I acted in such a way, Zetsu, when I drink alcohol I don't think right. I'm horrible with alcohol, what if my magic goes out of control or something? "
"It's fine, don't worry about it, okay? Although, it was kind of nice waking up to your face in the morning. Sorry if that makes you feel uncomfortable, " Zetsu said.
Shou blushed and looked toward Zetsu.
"It wasn't that uncomfortable, although it was really surprising. I'm so sorry."
"Eh, why are you apologizing?"
"Because I can be a real pain when I get drunk, and this is the second time in the same week. My Dad was a really bad drunk, but the fact I drink so much might come from him."
"Yeah but you're not a bad drunk. You're just a bit of a lightweight. You look quite adorable when you fell asleep"
"How so?"
"Your cheeks become red and you have a great smile on your face," Zetsu said while looking into his eyes.
"Zetsu-san."
Shou blushed even more.
"So cute," Zetsu thought.
After a while...
"Ah, there you guys are, I was starting to worry. We're going on a guild raid today, are you two ready," Hisami asked.
"Hisami, what are we fighting," Zetsu asked.
"An Elemental dragon," he said with a smirk.
Zetsu's eyes widened, and Shou looked confused.
"An Elemental dragon," Shou asked.
"Oh, right you're still pretty new to this world. So you don't really know about every magical beast. That dragon is an S-class Magical beast. Geez, Hisami, Seina, you, and I are the only ones that can survive that beast. I mean Kamiya-kun is strong, a rare S-classes strength is beyond his power," Zetsu said.
"S class?"
"Yeah, it's pretty rare and powerful."
"One appeared last night, during the festival. It flew over and attacked a nearby village, it's using it as its nesting ground," Hisami said.
"So we have no choice before those douche-knights get to it first," Kamiya said while cracking his fists.
"Kamiya, I don't think you should go," Haruki said.
"Why not?"
"Because they're known to be very powerful," Haruki said.
"Then you're strong as well, come with me, and might forgive you."
"Sure."
"The love tension between those two is quite ridiculous. But I can't after Shou because of both Zetsu, Sakuya, and that damn sword of his. But he's so cute, I just want to spoil him. But he is so humble and he hates excepting gifts," Hisami thought.
Hisami cleared his throat.
"I'm choosing who comes, Seina, Shou, Zetsu, Kamiya, Haruki, and Zai."
"The eight of us will have to combine our power to subdue the dragon."
Zai smirked.
"I get to work alongside Shou-chan again," Zai said as he tried to hug him only to be punched by Zetsu.
"Idiot."
"Zetsu-san," Shou said.
"No fair how come you're so close to Shou-chan."
"Shou-chan said he didn't mind," Zetsu said while blushing with a pout while looking away.
"Eh, Zetsu, how did you win him over," Hisami, Seina, Zai, and a few others thought.
"Anyway, let's get going," Hisami said.
They began to walk but Shou dropped something. Zetsu picked it up but something else fell.
"Eh, what's this, a picture, it's in color," Zetsu said.
Shou blushed.
"Zetsu-san um."
"Who is that lady and the little girl?"
"That's my mom, and me," Shou said while blushing even more.
"Eh," Zetsu thought.
"No way, you looked so much like a little girl when you were younger."
"I know, I got teased for it and I was called Shojo instead of Shou," Shou said while blushing.
"But the lady with you is pretty too."
"Yeah, she died while I was in middle school, it was pretty hard on me. So I kept the only photo of me and her together."
"Was your dad still alive?"
"Yeah, but, I moved out and lived with Sakuya's adopted parents in the other world."
"Was he abusive?"
"Yeah. I eventually fought back and left. I was covered in bruises, but I didn't feel pain. I felt freedom and happiness," Shou said with a sad smile.
"Shou-chan."
After a while...
They got to a village nearby.
"We're almost there, this village is probably next if we don't subdue the dragon," Hisami said.
Suddenly Shou's hair was glowing bright blue. Shou heard something.
"My King," he heard.
Shou felt confused.
"King," Shou said.
"Shou-chan, your hair is glowing, how," Hisami asked.
"I don't...
Suddenly a dragon flew over them and grabbed Shou.
"The king has returned," the dragon shouted.
"What the fuck," Shou thought as he teleported away and began flying in the air.
"After reincarnation, thou hast lost thy memories," the dragon said.
"Huh, wait Sakuya mentioned something about a dragon, don't tell me you destroyed a village to search for me," Shou said while looking angry.
"Shou, you can speak dragon," Zetsu shouted.
"What do you mean, they are speaking our language, what do you mean?"
"Shou, that dragon is speaking his own language, your ability to hear it is because you are the reincarnation of the dragon king."
"Eh, but that means the dragons went searching for me in that village and killed people because they were trying to find me."
"I apologize for upsetting thy king, please find the best punishment for me," The dragon said.
"Only I can understand you, is there a way for you to speak in the human language?"
"Yeah," he said before turning into a human, he still had his wings to fly.
"My apologies, my king, but if I may speak."
"Go ahead."
"We were searching for thy majesty, there was an attack on that village from an unidentified emerald dragon. It was quite a shock for us. To clear our name, we searched for thy majesty and thus taken thus the humans blamed us for that attack."
"So a dragon went rogue and cause destruction to that village. How old was the dragon," Hisami asked?
"We have no information regarding who caused that much destruction and peril to thy weak humans that lived in that village."
"So, you guys are searching for that dragon and Shou," Zetsu asked.
"My majesty's hidden power is required to subdue that emerald dragon. We cannot defeat it with our magic. He is able to copy our dragon king's magic."
"So he's really strong that's perfect if he were weak then I would obliterate him," Hisami said with a smirk.
"That human right there has quite the malicious aura," the dragon said.
"So what's your name," Shou asked.
"I was never given a name."
"How about, Akai?"
"If that is my name, I accept it with pleasure."
Third POV:
The dragon led them back to the cavern. They saw many dragons in their human forms.
"I'm back and I have brought thy king."
"Thy this and thy that, can you stop talking like that," another dragon shouted.
"But it's fun."
"No it's confusing," He shouted.
The dragon looked at Shou and he bowed.
"My king."
"What's your name?"
"I have no name, I am often called the peacekeeper."
"Then how about Miyagi?"
"Miyagi, if you would name me that I humbly accept."
"Peacekeeper," someone shouted.
"I go by Miyagi now."
"Eh, you have a name. Is that the king right there?"
"Yeah."
She looked towards Shou and bowed.
"I do apologize for the rudeness, my king."
"So why have you brought Shou here?"
"Because we need him to rule over us, he's the king in reincarnation. No one has named their child for a very long time because they wanted to wait for the return of the king."
"That seems kind of dumb," Shou thought.
"I don't think that I'm cut out for that kind of..."
"Your hair responded to my magic. All we need you to do is to help control the younger generation of dragons. That blue was our previous dragon king and his ancestors before him."
"What happened to the last dragon king?"
"The royal army surrounded him, and before he allowed them to kill him, he sent his power to another world. Into the birth of a random child. Of course, he said his intentions before they killed him."
"So your king got killed by Sakuya's parents?"
"That's right. The power has been quite dormant inside of you for a long time."
"Akai, Miyagi, I don't understand anything right now, but could you give me a second to wrap my head around this," Shou asked.
"Sure."
"What the hell, I'm a dragon king, why? I don't understand, Cebris, did you know anything about this," Shou thought.
"Yeah, master I did," Cebris thought.
Shou sighed and Zetsu placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Are you alright, Shou," Zetsu asked.
"Zetsu."
Shou's brain went blank and he started blushing. He back away and covered his face.
"S-Shou?"
"He scared me, I lost my train of thought for a second," Shou thought.
Suddenly Shou felt an aura. Shou's arms fell to his side as his eyes darkened. He fell forward.
"Shou," Zetsu shouted before catching him.
His hair glowed blue once again as his aura around his body covered him.
"What's going on Cebris?"
"Shou is remembering his previous life," Cebris said.
"Huh, what do you mean by that," Kamiya asked.
"My king is remembering, the life of the previous dragon king," Akai said.
"Eh," everyone thought.
"Our old king was a human just like Shou. He was originally from another world but reincarnated here with amazing ability. His name was Oshiba Tenya ."
"Oshiba Tenya, maybe that's who it was. The person who rescued me, from that attack," Cebris thought as he remembered someone like him.
Shou's eyes closed and opened as the light returned to his eyes. He had tears rolling down his face.
"Shou, hey, are you alright," Zetsu said.
"Why did he risk so much to save me, I don't understand it. Oshiba Tenya was from my world. He was my mother's brother. He was my uncle. Now that doesn't make sense? The time between my world and this one has to be different."
"That's right Shou, one day in your world is about 7 years in ours. By the time your mother had you, Oshiba Tenya in this world was already 65,700 years old. He was supposed to be immortal, but he sacrificed himself to save our village," Akai said.
"Akai," Shou said.
Shou got up and thought about something.
"That means, that each day in this world it's only four minutes in mine. That also means these past 14 days only 56 minutes have passed. If I go back now, It would be the same day, a month in here would mean 2 hours. What the hell, why do I have to experience this," Shou thought.
"Shou, hey," Zetsu said while putting his hand on his shoulder once more.
"I remember everything from my uncle. Although, it's still confusing," Shou said before looking up at Zetsu, his face turned red.
"Eh, too close," Shou thought as he turned away.
"This is not the time, but he's too fucking cute. He's pretty conscious of me," Zetsu thought with a smile and patted Shou's head.
Zetsu felt shocked as he pulled his hand away.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to, you were just too cute."
"Cute," Shou mumbled.
After walking into the dragon palace, Shou smiled.
"Wow, so this is where uncle protected his land," Shou thought.
"Our king," People said as they appeared in human forms.
"So many people, luckily Uncle had future sight, which allowed him to see into the future. He made a list of names for everyone," Shou thought.
Shou walked towards a wall and pressed his hand.
"Eh," Akai said.
A secret room was revealed.
"There's scrolls in here," Shou thought.
"Akai, here some scrolls," Shou said.
"King Shou," Akai said.
Shou handed over scrolls to Akai. Akai felt happy.
"Our previous king, he even has the names you have given us on here. My lord, this is marvelous. Has a previous king looked into the future for us," he asked.
"Yes, My uncle left this, because he knew the loyalty of his people. It's kind of shocking you guys didn't know about it."
"Yeah, he was quite secretive," Akai said.
A dragon charged into the palace. The dragon roared.
"I saw the king die with my own eyes, I will not trust a new ruler," it said in the dragon dialect.
"Your name is Uni right, you don't have to, would you like to know why?"
"That's right Shou can understand them, "Zetsu thought.
The dragon turned to human form. Uni was a petite girl with long red pigtails. Her eyes were silver like Shou's. She was traditional shrine garments and she had black horns coming from her head.
"So small," Everyone thought.
"Master Uni," Akai said.
Her long long hair blew as her mana was translucent.
"You, the descendent of Tenya-sama's. What did you mean," Uni asked.
"My uncle gave me a choice, as of right now, I don't see myself fit to be your king. He wanted you to take over being queen because you're the strongest," Shou said with a smile.
"Eh, Tenya-sama said that," Uni shouted while blushing.
"Yeah."
"So I'm the ruler, I have a plan in place of your uncle you will marry me."
"Huh," Shou said.
"EHHHHHH," Everyone shouted.
"You can't marry Shou," Zetsu shouted.
"Zetsu."
Zetsu stood in front of Shou and grabbed his hand.
"Whether queen dragon or not, I'm in love with Shou. I won't let you have your way."
Shou blushed. Zetsu realized what he had just said and began blushing.
"So embarrassing, "Zetsu thought.
"Um...Zetsu," Shou mumbled.
"Shou are you..."
Zetsu saw Shou's expression. His face looked as if Zetsu had kissed him.
"He's not okay at all, his entire face is red. He's so damn cute," Zetsu thought.
