Lunch was long forgotten. To say that I was sad would be an understatement. I really wanted to go to the ball.
After grandma left I sat down on my bed and thought about everything she said. I touched my hair and it felt the same just that my reflection told me something different.
Louise and Kaden came in when it was almost time for dinner. I was snuggled up in my sheets. They both slowly approached me. Louise sat by my right,Kaden sat by my left. "How are you doing sis?'' Kaden asked. Louise just placed his hand on my shoulder. Even though they didn't do anything to me I started crying. I cried because I couldn't meet Mark again and I cried because my brothers were afraid of me. When they both came in I could hear their fast heartbeats.
Louise just placed his hand on my head and started rubbing it gently. I cried for what felt like almost an hour but was few minutes. I sat straight and Kaden gave me his handkerchief. Perks of your brothers always wearing suits. When I was done they both asked me at the same time "What happened?" I laughed a little at that.
"I'm not sure. One minute I am happy I am going to the ball, the next I am like this because I can't go to the ball again, my hair is turning black and my own brothers are afraid of me." I answered.
''We are sorry. You know how dramatic Kate can be. She told us that your hair is black and that we need to come right away. I was busy with some very important documents and Kaden was making sure that the arrangements for Packs especially the Black Hearts Pack stay was good and as far away from you as possible. We came as soon as we were done." Louise said.
"It's okay. I am scared of myself too."I said. "No! You shouldn't be. You are not what the prophecy said you could become. You are Rose nice, young. beautiful, smart, and mischievous girl.'' Kaden said as he pinched my cheek. I smiled. ''I love you." I said as we all had a group hug.
"I love you too." Kaden said. Louise hit his hand and he said '' Oww! okay we love you too....." he looked at me, smiled and said "...... but I love you more". Louise shook his head and said " Don't believe a word he says."
" So you don't love her?" Kaden asked. "I never said that". Louise said. "You just did and I am telling mother about this new bad behavior of yours." Kaden said getting off the bed. Louise said "You are not going to tell mother anything." Louise got off the bed and chased after Kaden in my room. I was laughing as they went to the living room. I got off my bed and followed them. Louise had caught Kaden and was on top of him when I got to them "Get off of me. You are heavy and fat". Kaden said. "Oh really. Rose why don't you come so that we can show him how fat we are?" Louise offered. "Sure." I said.
I sat on his chest while Louise was on his legs. I know I wasn't of any help to Louise because I was not heavy but it was fun. " Okay! I am sorry. You guys are not fat. You are as light as feathers". Kaden said.
"Then you wouldn't mind us staying for a few more minutes, right Rose?" "I couldn't agree more". I answered. "I'm sorry. I will not call you fat again. Please." Kaden said as he tried to lift us up so he could get up which he failed miserably at because of Louise.
"Should we let him go, Rose?"
"I think he has learnt his lesson". We got off him. "Two against one? Hardly seems fair". Kaden said. "Everything is fair in love and war and we love you, bro". Louise said as he ruffled his hair which Kaden wasn't happy about.
Kaden took a seat and saw my untouched lunch. "You didn't eat?" " Of course she did. She even licked the plate afterward". Louise answered. Kaden looked at him annoyed.
"What? You asked a stupid question." Louise said. "I'm not hungry". My stomach had really bad timing, of all the time I was alone, it didn't make a sound till I said I wasn't hungry. After my stomach grumbled, Kaden laughed and said "Your stomach said something different". Louise smiled and said, "Kaden stop laughing and go get her some food". "Okay". Kaden said unhappily that he had to go.
After he left with my untouched food, Louise asked me "Who did you meet today?" I lied again and said "No one." Louise frowned and said, "This hasn't happened in twenty years and you are telling me no one?" He asked getting angry. I nodded afraid he might catch me through my voice. He sighed and said, " Please don't meet that person again. We are doing everything we can for you. Don't make father and mother do something they don't want to do". I nodded again. He kissed my forehead and left.
Five minutes and my food still wasn't here. "Kaden. Where are you?". I asked through the pack's link "I am starving."
"Someone else is bringing it for you." he said. "Who?" I asked. "You'll see". He said. "Kaden. Kaden!" I called but he blocked me.
Someone knocked on my door few seconds later. I opened the door thinking it was Kate. "Kate. I am sooo sorr...". It wasn't Kate. I looked at the man in front of me holding my food.
" May I come in?"
