I was shocked to see him there. The last time I saw him was yesterday.I opened the door wide enough for him to come in. He sat down and placed the food on the table.
"Come and eat and then we will talk". He said. "Father, let' talk first. I will eat later". He looked at me and then looked at the food. I sat down and started eating. I was really hungry. I finished everything on the plate. When I was eating I would feel his eyes on me and when I looked up he was looking at me. I almost chocked while eating.
When I finished eating he said "Rose. I don't like lying to you so I am just going to say it. I am disappointed in you. All these years, all of our hard work..."he just shook his head "... gone. How could you? I know you lied to your grandma and Louise but you should know this before I asked you the same question. If you lie to me I will punish everyone in the castle including the ones in the Yellow Stone Pack". I looked up with wide eyes. "Who did you meet today?" Father asked. His eyes were black that meant that he was angry.
" Tell him! Tell him now!" Emily said scared, "Father he is a guard. I met him yesterday. When I saw him, there was something about him and I felt something pulling me towards him. I am sorry Father." His eyes were back their normal, blue color. "When did you meet him? What did he tell you? Is he from Yellow Stone Pack? Did he try to hurt you?"He asked at once.
"No! He didn't hurt me. Yes he is from the Yellow Stone Pack. I met him today in front of my door and in the library. He told me.... " I was cut off by father's angry voice that said 'what! He came here and you didn't tell me or anyone?"
"No! I was going to the library so I met him outside my door when I was locking it and he told me..." I didn't get to finish because I was cut off again by the sound of the alarm booming throughout the castle. Father stood up and so did I.
"We will talk about this later". He said before he went out. I was scared. There has never been a problem that was so serious to set the alarms off. I went out few minutes after. He didn't expect me to just stay in my room and pretend as if nothing serious was happening, did he?
I didn't stop to find out. I went out and followed his scent. It was leading me to the library. Before I opened door I could hear father, mother, grandma, Louise and Kaden talking.
"Its gone!" Grandma exclaimed. "How is this possible? Where were the guards then? "Father asked. "They were drugged by the thief." Louise answered. "What is in the book anyway that is so important that the whole kingdom is being searched for?" Kaden asked. "That is something you shouldn't worry yourself about."Mother said. "Please mother. I am going to be king I have to know what is in the book."Louise pleaded.
"Roses's weakness is what is in the book. As you all know, wolfsbane doesn't hurt her as much as it hurts us cause she isn't only a werewolf. The secret the book is keeping for so many years is information of what can injure her badly and make her very weak. It is her main and most dangerous weakness. If used against her, she will die."Mother said. I gasped." Let's not talk about that now. We must get that book back" Grandma said.
"We need a witch to trace the book and thief". Kaden said. "We have a problem.We don't have a witch. We have used out last chance on the witch who casted a spell to mask Rose's scent when she was small before Rose did another one herself when she was old enough." Louise said.
They needed my help. I didn't even think about it. I opened the door and said "I can do it".
Everyone looked at me shocked and surprised." We should have talked about this." Emily said. "You think? " I asked ."Rose what are you doing here?" Father asked. "I'm here to help". I said smiling. "Oh no young lady. You are not going to help anybody."mother said. "Please mother" I pleaded . She shook her head and said " Go back to your room and stay there".she said.
I turned and started walking when Grandma said "Wait Rose." I stopped and walked back immediately happy that I was finally going to use my powers to help my family. "It's a good idea."Grandma said.
She got the spell and opened the page. She called me over and showed me the spell and how to cast it so that they can all see what I see. I got ready and held grandma's hand who held mother's hand who held Louise's hand who held Kaden's hand who held Father's hand who finally held mine. I took a deep breath and started chanting the spell.
"Revelecta redeca theiosis newamis. Rewelecta redeca theiosis mewamis" I stumbled back a little as the image came before my eyes closed. My family members could also see it because our hands were intertwined. The image was that of Mark after I left him in the library because the book he was reading was still on the table opened on the first page. The image started moving. It showed Mark going towards the history section. He went through the books as if he was looking for something in particular . He took the book of life and death, opened it to the page that had a ripped page and pulled out his hand that was in his pocket which held a paper. He unfolded the page and put it back. He took the red book, smiled at it and tried to open it. When he realized he couldn't even after he tried to pick the lock his smile dropped and he left with the book in his hand. He set the alarm off just before he left.
I let go of Father's and Grandma's hand. I wanted to cry because I felt like I led him there." He is not hot anymore." Emily said. "That was him father." I said. "You mean the skinny guard? " Father asked. I shook my head "Not him, the black haired one. The one we just saw." I said. "No Rose we just saw a skinny guard with blonde hair". Father said.
"What is going on? " Mother asked. Father told them what I told him earlier in my room. Grandma had a confused look on her face."I don't even know how he became a guard with a body like that." Kaden said. I was confused. Mark was well built, handsome, smart and..." You need to stop Rose." Emily said angrily. "Sorry." I said. I was about to tell Kaden that he was well built when Grandma said "Rose show us an image of how you saw him."
"Showacacta imagnesium". His image appeared in front of us. They all gasped. "Oh no!" Grandma exclaimed. "What?" Louise asked shocked "Why him?" Kaden asked. Mother looked at Father with a scared look on her face .
"No wonder your hair changed black so fast." Grandma said. "Okay. I am confused." Emily said. "Me too." I said.
"Who is he?"
