Chapter 31 - A Bit Perverted...

[What's this about now?]

Ren's interest picqued once again, [Rirota's a sleepwalker? That doesn't sound right, he rarely move in his sleep, he's like a dead log! God, why the hell I know so much about you, bro?]

"I brought you over, you didn't look comfortable sleeping on the couch and I don't mind sleeping with you, we're the same after all.", she said in a neutral voice. Ren then hear a cough from his furthest spot.

"You should pay more attention to yourself, you're beautiful and all that...", Rirota stopped abruptly as if he sounded more embarrassed to continue talking, prompting Riro giggled softly from his blushing voice, "Thanks, I'll make sure that you won't hug me in your sleep, okay brother?"

Ren tilted his head confused as he heard Rirota sighing heavily, "Please push me off the bed if I were to invade your personal space..."

[...I guess I should leave this odd... siblings tensions... and head home for now.]

...

Auroth's Household.

10:37p.m.

"Haa..."

An audible and exhausted sigh escaped and filled the dining area. The peak middle-schooler looking girl then faced the empty seat beside her for a plate of now cold fried rice omelette with a decently well put ketchup art of a crescent shaped moon.

She then faced back on her plate of untouched food with a gloomy look on her face, [... It's late. Did he get spotted or what?]

She began imagining horrible things that might have happened to her 'little' brother, [Oh no... what if she found him out and decided to torture him? What if the Rirota he think about is not actually that guy?? What if the two of them beat him up to a pulp?]

[...I should've gone with him, I don't want to be left alone again... I can't live another life without... a family.]

She fell into a deep spiral of depressive episode as she worried more the longer the time was ticking in her mind. She didn't want to be alone, she despised being alone. And she hated how Ren doesn't look like he had issues being alone, she was ashamed of herself for... being...

"Fuhh!!"

Her eyes was wide open when she heard a voice by the entrance door of the house. She then heard a clicking sound as she peeped from the kitchen area into the hallway to find Ren smiling at her.

"I'm sorry I'm late, Lau---??!"

It was so sudden.

Ren felt like he had suddenly lost his balance as he looked underneath him to find Lauren pouncing on him with an expression he didn't want to see again on her face.

She was crying...

Her arms tried covering his whole back but failed as her arms were shorter than the average eighteen year old teenager, she rubbed her head against his chest while he controlled his balance from toppling over to his back and potentially injuring the both of them.

He unconsciously lifted his hand and placed it on top of her head, giving her head a gentle rub, "I'm home.", he said in a gentle and calming voice.

She pulled herself away from him, realising that she has jumped to give him a hug, she averted her eyes as she turned her back toward him, "Food's gone cold now, you're too late!"

"Sorry.", Ren said nonchalantly, although his expression were more sincere with his apology. She turned her head slightly, to keep her ocean blue eyes on him, "... Welcome home, brother."

He smiled as he nodded, "Thanks for welcoming me home, sis."

...

They finished dinner, despite her saying it was cold and probably won't taste as delicious as it was hot. Ren interjected that the omelette was delicious and asked her if she was purposely chose to cook two different meals for the two of them.

Lauren, of course, nodded to his question as she kept her silence on explaining him the truth about her fried rice with scrambled egg and insisted that she prefers scrambled rather than an omelette for herself.

Ren shrugged as he didn't mind her choice of how she eats her meal. He understood that they weren't picky eaters so it didn't matter if she chose to have the same meal or not. The only other person he knew with a picky attitude was someone from the future.

[...She kept on refusing to eat radishes, despite being a herbalist.], he reminisced on his old ally back in Tulips. There was way more fond memories and of course, a fair share of bad memories of his adventures in Tulips.

The two of them now sat down in the living room, on the request of Ren to quickly brief on Lauren about his excellent investigation of the two Rirotas.

"They're like us and they worked super fast."

Lauren emphasized on his last words, "How fast?"

"They managed to fool the public by adding like true siblings but of course, they did attract certain attention from those who are confused with their change of attitudes."

Ren remembered about the time during break periods when he stumbled on several male students chatting about Rirota and his sister no longer arguing with one another, "This is from when I was taking a break in the restroom... sorry, that's a bit vulgar."

Lauren didn't care.

"You know the ashen haired ones? They too are aware twin, with the same name and everything."

Lauren picked on his words again, "Same name? You saying that... Rirota Xalysia in my world is also named the same in your world's Rirota Xalysia?"

He nodded, "Yeah, however we can't really help ourselves out with finding people we know since-"

Lauren interjected, "We're loners after all."

"Yeah... we only know our parents' good friends and relatives, so I think that we can possibly find an adult with the same name...", Ren sighed as he pushed his fingers against the middle of his brows.

Lauren thought in her mind, [I often needed to go on a trip outside countries for a meeting left and right. I was lucky that the captain lady was there to help me... hearing him say that he went on a journey to this Tulips make me think that he doesn't really have any connections with this captain I'm thinking of.]

She sighed as she couldn't help him with the current matter. Ren continued, "Also, there are indeed people who didn't have twins, they are sole child of their family."

She widened her eyes as she nodded, "That explains the class representative of my classroom. She feels like an only child since I watched her sometimes to see if her twin were to come visit her or if she was going to other classes to do so."

She sighed heavily as she leaned forward to rest her head on her both palms, her elbows placed evenly on her laps to keep herself feeling less pressure of the building pain from her own elbows, she spoke after thinking for a tiny bit as her mind remembered Ren's words from before.

"Since you kept saying that... Rirota of your world is your half-twin brother... doesn't that make us... a quadruplet?"

Ren nodded although he was unsure of it himself, "If he shared my memories of Tulips, then yeah. It could be that he's still waiting for a possible time to see if he could find us... Lauren."

"Hm?", she hummed as he suddenly called her name, he spoke after noticing her gaze at him, "If Rirota, the male one decided to check the attendance list in your classroom. See if he's staring for you or not..."

Lauren nodded firmly to his next plan, "Okay, I'll keep my guard up until then, the information you gave me seems too... summarised, was it necessary for you to wait for that long?"

Ren sighed lightly as he remembered about her Rirota, "... They really don't talk much, they're always in deep thoughts of one another and oh yeah!", he clutched his forehead, "Your Rirota is a bit perverted."

"Huh?", she was dumbfounded by his words.

...

Present Time...

A certain gradient-coloured hair boy sat down on top of something while sighing with a rough breath, he looked down at his hands and noticed that he had blood all over his fingers and palms.

He then lifted his eyes to take a good look of the surroundings, it was filled with a bunch of unconscious and bloodied thugs with various broken blunt objects on the floor as he heard a footstep closing in on him with a sinister laugh, "Heheh... I'm surprised that you managed to take no injuries on you at all."

"My love."

Rirota smirked at her as he noticed her clean attire, "Same goes to you too, my dear."

He casted his black orb ability and stared deep into the abyss like darkness of the black orb, "Riro."

"Yeah?", she titled her head when she saw him showed off his black orb. He continued with one question for her.

"Do you know Ren Auroth?"
