The following day, Christopher was released from the hospital.
Within two weeks, everything changed drastically.
When humanity discovered that killing the monsters in the portal granted them superpowers, they began diving into the portal.
This group of humans is known as the hunters, which led to the formation of the hunters' guild, which was formed by both the government and private associations.
Christopher went to a nearby blue portal after settling in at home. He noticed a lot of people going in and out of the portal.
He, too, desired to enter the portal because there were no restrictions preventing people from doing so.
"Stop, we'll need to see your hunter card before you can enter," one of the soldiers left in charge of the portal said.
"Huh?" Christopher was perplexed.
"If you don't have a hunter card, go register or, better yet, join a guild," the soldier advised.
"All right, thank you." Christopher thanked the men and asked for directions to the registration location.
Christopher rushed to the guild hall after being directed there because he was eager to try out his new ability.
He entered the hall and made his way to the reception.
"Good afternoon, sir; what can we do for you today?" A young lady said, attending to Christopher.
"Um, yeah, I'd like to register as a hunter," Christopher said.
"How old are you, sir?" The girl requested
"Twenty years old—why do you inquire?" Christopher enquired.
"Only those eighteen and older can register as a hunter," the girl replied, adding, "Solo hunter or guild hunter?"
"Solo hunter," Christopher said flatly. He doesn't want to work for anyone else again.
She then pulled out a magic detector to test Christopher powerful level, this time around the Crystal reacted but didn't shine that bright Indicating that Christopher is a E-Rank hunter.
Before handing Christopher his card, the girl continued to elicit important information from him.
"Here you go, sir; additionally, any resources discovered inside the portal can be traded here for money or other valuable items," the girl said.
"Thank you," Christopher said after collecting the card.
He quickly descends to a green portal without wasting much time.
When he arrived, he went straight to the yellow portal nearby, stopping along the way to buy a small battle knife. He was let in after showing his ID to the soldiers in charge.
"Tch! " Take a look at this: "He simply entered without a team."
"Look at his attire alone. Did he believe the portal to be simple playthings?" who witnessed Christopher enter the portal began to murmur and make jest of Christopher.

Christopher's first encounter inside the portal was with a huge wolf.
Christopher didn't panic; he gripped his blade tightly and dashed toward the wolf.
The wolf also ran and jumped, his claws aimed at Christopher's face.
Christopher slid beneath the wolf, his knife raised high under the wolf's belly, splitting the wolf in two.
Christopher didn't feel the warm surge of energy. "Weird," he said, moving closer to the dead wolf.
[Ding, would you like to absorb the core?]
"Huh, core?" He then noticed a shiny black orb in Wolf's chest area.
He took it out, and the system notification appeared once more.
[Ding... would you like to absorb the core?]
[Y/N]
Christopher said yes without hesitation. The orb then disintegrated into powder, and a stream of energy began to flow through Christopher's body.
"Oh! "So this is where the energy comes from," Christopher said to no one in particular.
Christopher then proceeded deeper into the dungeon.
More wolves appeared, and Christopher easily dispatched them.
(Roar!!!) A two-headed wolf appeared out of nowhere and confronted Christopher.
"It's time to put my new skill to the test," Christopher thought, smiling.
Taking a deep breath, Christopher expelled blazing hot flames from his mouth, burning the wolf to a crisp.
Despite the fact that the wolf and its core had been burned, Christopher could still feel warm energy flowing through him.
"I'm curious if I can use the fire ability in more ways," Christopher pondered.
Christopher then tries to extinguish the flames with his hands, which works surprisingly well.
Christopher moved deeper into the cave, where he encountered a group of hunters engaged in combat with a swarm of two-headed wolves.
There are tanker, an healer, a water mage, and a knight in the group.
"Should I assist them or not?" Christopher was thinking when he heard, "Watch out!"
Christopher quickly unsheathed his knife, moved slightly to the side, and slashed the wolf in the neck, leaving a deep mark on its body.
"No problem, but you shouldn't be lost in thought in these dungeons," the guy dressed in a knightly figure said.
"I was simply caught off guard," Christopher explained.
"You're skilled; would you like to help us finish this dungeon raid?" the guy asked.
"Oh right, sorry, my name is Peter, a swordsman; these are my teammates, Ana, Zack, Jake, and Lizzy," the guy said, seeing Christopher's puzzled expression. The others greeted him by waving their hands.
"Hello, my name is Christopher." Christopher introduced himself as well.
"Would you like to join us in completing this raid, Christopher?" Peter was curious.
"Yeah, having an extra hand will come in handy, especially when it comes to defeating the final boss," Ana said.
"All right," Christopher said. He joined because the team appeared to understand portals better than he did.
"Do you have any special skills, or is this your first time in a dungeon?" Zack was curious.
"Fire," Christopher replied, and a ball of fire erupted.
"Cool! "I'm a water mage," Lizzy explained.
"Seriously," Zack stated, "we could use someone like you on the team."
"OK, enough chit-chat; let's finish this dungeon before anyone else," Peter said.
They all moved deeper into the cave, dispatching the two-headed wolves they encountered along the way. Christopher was mostly using his flame ability, which allowed the team to move quickly.
The group then came to a halt in front of a massive gate. "This is it, guys; behind this gate lies the final boss of this dungeon; we can either retreat or go in there and defeat the boss," Peter said as the entire team looked at the gate.
