As the petals of sweet alyssum rain down in different colors, a display of crayons straight out of a painting. I couldn't help but plaster an effortless smile on my face as I watch my mate walking towards me.

Victoria wasn't moving and I couldn't either, I tried reaching for her but for some unexplainable reason, I had no control over my body.
She kept smiling and looking at me her lips moving like she was saying to me something which I couldn't hear due to the strong wind.
I felt helpless and hopeless as tears fell from my eyes and my body trembled.
The excruciating pain and distress I felt was something totally unfamiliar to me.
Using every power and might I had, I called out for her name : "VICTORIA!!??"
And that's when I shot up from my bed as beads of sweat and tears smeared across my face like my second skin.
"The same fucking nightmare", I cursed out as I got out of bed trying to control my uneven breathing.
This was a daily occurrence of struggle, every fucking time I would try to close my eyes, she's all I see.
It was so torturous that I couldn't quite understand why It happened to me.
Checking the clock beside my lamp table, it was 4:47 am.
Choosing not to dwell on this nightmare-invested room, I went out for a ran.
Reaching my favorite locale, Rado, my wolf gave me back control as I climbed up the rocks on top of the caves.
I always loved spending my mornings here, it's an important and significant place for me.
It held a lot of memories.
Memories of me and my mate.
"Don't forget I'm also included you jerk", Rado complained.
"Thought you were sleeping fucker, you kept silent the entire run", I replied back at him as I smiled.
"Yeah right, 'cause I can sleep while running. That's just amazing", sarcastically, he states.
I just rolled my eyes loving how hot headed my wolf he actually is.
We have the total opposite personalities but that's what I love about him, at least I have him and he has me.
"I'm glad you know that", he states in a matter of fact.
"Yeah, yeah. And don't you think you should rest now?, later we have to go hunting", I remind him as he purrs at the sound of hunting.
One thing Rado loves is being a predator.
"That's because that's who we are silly, I'm resting now. And don't sulk for too long. You are destroying my mood", and with that he shuts off leaving me smiling to myself.
"That's fucking unusual", a familiar voice echoed behind me.
Letting out a heavy sigh, I ignored him as he sat comfortably beside me wrecking of fresh blood.
"It's not so good to have you here beta", I complained as I ignore his sharp gaze.
"That's totally not true your highness, I know you are rejoicing inside and probably doing a happy dance", he responds as he chuckled.
"Keep living in that dream world beta, it suits you", I state sparing him a glance. Only then I noticed we are both bat-shit naked. The only difference is, half of Derek's body is smeared with deer's blood.
"I know we are close and all but your stares are making me uncomfortable Alpha", he says as he puts his hands on his senior.
"Oh, Jesus Derek, you make me barf", I quickly respond as I keep my head straight while his laughs echoes in the woods.
"I got you good right there Alpha", he says in between of his struggle to laugh and breath.
I swear, sometimes I wish the old Derek would come back, This one is just a clown unserious version of him .
"Shut up for a second Derek.", I said faking a scowl as the blue moon hour passed ready to welcome the dawn.
There ain't nothing more beautiful than the sunrise here, it literally is the highlight of my each and every day.
The view is simply breathtaking, picturesque worth.
Enjoying the silence and the dawn , I couldn't help but smile remembering all the mornings I came here with Victoria.
"She loved it here", without knowing, I said it out loud as I felt a sharp pain across my chest.
"She sure did", Derek responded after a silence.
Pain evident in his tone.
"You still getting the nightmares??", after a long calculated sigh, he questioned.
I turn to look at his concerned features as he gave me THE LOOK, the look that I didn't like it when he did.
It's the look that made me feel so vulnerable that I couldn't even control myself and I didn't like it.
Rather than using words to reply to him, I simply nodded as I turned away from the suffocating look.
I could still feel him staring at me and I knew what he was planning to say next. God knows how many times I prayed for him not to utter those words.
"Your highness…."
But before he could finish, Liam's voice echoes through the mind link,
"YOUR HIGHNESS, BETA , we need you at the eastern border. We have a situation…."
The next I know, Rado took control and Dan, Derek's wolf were sprinting across the woods heading towards the eastern part of the border.
I was running while wondering what exactly could have made Liam call for me and Derek that they couldn't handle.
I handled the issue with the hunters five years ago, the entire supernatural kingdoms has been living in harmony with each other, regardless of the species after the peace treaty signing.
My head was spinning as everything was all over the place, by the time we arrived at the border.
I felt a foreign presence lingering around the entire border, a dark one.
As my sight got clearer, I saw Liam , paco and an image Lying Down.
Keeping my guard up, I walk calculatedly towards the image.
"Careful Alpha, we don't know what she is", Liam warned through the mind link.
"You sure it's a she??", I inquire.
"Yes Alpha, but not human", paco states.
I turn back to my human form as Derek does the same while we both got closer to what She was.
Derek held her up, as her unconscious almost lifeless body becomes visible.
Suddenly, my heart begins beating faster as Rado gets unsettled.
"The fuck bruh, this is not the time", I scold him as I try to control him.
"THATS OUR MATE!!",
"Quit the jesting Rado and stay still", I scowled back not appreciating what Rado was playing at.
On the other hand, Derek places his two fingers on the intruder's neck,
"Her pulse is weak Alpha, what should we do", Derek informs through the mind link waiting for my response.
"You should call Priya to check on our mate and I don't appreciate how the beta is comfortably placing his hands on my mate", Rado at it again, with a anger tone that I almost believed him.
Since, This was just another one of his games , I shut him off for I wasn't in the mood for it.
Back to the matters at hand, I knew nothing about this intruder in addition I couldn't quite catch her scent either. All I knew and we all knew that she wasn't human.
"Liam , Paco, take her to the dungeons and have Priya check on her from there. Report to me if anything comes up", I stated through the mind link,
"Derek, lets check around for some inkling. There's just no way she come out of nowhere", I declared, my mind trying to figure out everything and anything all at once.
