The wind blows in Maribel's hair as she walks in front of the band hall entrance. She punches in the code and walks into the halls and makes a right and walks to the one that had the light on.
When Maribel walks in she sees Syd's arms wrap around Amara.
It breaks her a little but what's new right?
"What's going on?" She called out hoping her voice didn't crack.
She wore a smile to numb her pain, Ava came up instantly and hugged her.
"We got some news about the ball." One of them tells her
Maribel hugs her back and takes her sit in the circle.
"Alright let's get down to business." Syd states as she takes her seat.

"Everything on our end is handled " Maribel tells Syd along with the rest of the group.
Her heart throbbing in her chest as her hands slightly shake.
"Has anyone heard from Raymond?" Ava asks as she put her hand on top of Maribel's.
It brings her great comfort
"Yes, he told me that he will be back tonight." Syd tells her.
"That's great news." Amara tells him as she kisses his cheek.
"Okay if that's all I have to get back to Arlo. Y'all have-" Maribel starts to state.
Matías cuts her off and asks " Can you hang back for a minute?"
Maribel takes a deep breath "Yeah."
Matías looks over at Syd and they're having an unspoken conversation with each other.
"Y'all all are dismissed." Syd tells them a few minutes later.
After most of the group left
Syd hugged Amara before she left out the door.
When they all hear the door close the mood changes in the room.
"Okay, what's going on because the meeting was bullshit and you could have texted us that in group chat." Ava said as there were only four of them now.
"Yeah, she's right." Maribel tells them as she backs Ava up.
"We have a bit of a problem." Matías spoke out.
"And that would be?" She asked as if she didn't see the look on his face and the way her eyes danced around the room.
"Jackson he's back." Matías tells her even though Syd clenches his jaw.
Maribel's eyes danced around the room again as she looks at everyone's faces.
"And how long have we known about this?" She questioned
"About a week or so."
"Has he reached out?" Maribel asked
"Matías Don't-" Syd starts to say
"Yes." but Matías beats him to it.
She chuckled and put her hands together and smirk on her face and she asked "who did he reach out to?"
In her bones, she knew but she begged to be wrong just this once.
Matías looks at Syd and back at her.
"Oh don't I think I can work it out for myself." She tells him as she sees the guilt on Syd's face.
"I know you are angry." Syd comes out and says.
"No, we are way past that." She claims
She was angry but also disappointed in him because after all it's always been him and her against the world always.
She breathes in deep. It's like she is trying to fight her own demons and the voices in her head don't help in the matter.
"I guess your one trick pony was not enough so you had to go back to the toxic one that has a hold on you." Shots are fired and they both know it.
Anger fills his eyes and he asks Ava and Matías "Can you give us the room."
Ava looks at him then at Maribel, Mari nods her head. That is when Ava makes her exit along with Matías.
He knows Syd is pissed at him for bringing it up but she needed to know before it was too late.
When the door closes behind them, Syd makes his way toward her.
"No, stay the hell away from me." She tells him.
"You wanted to know why I went back to him." He shouts out to her
She is silent in his own act of self-destruction.
But he comes close to her and his touch rips through her as if she was electrocuted.
"Syd don't." Maribel looks at him with a challenge in her eyes,
But Syd isn't having it, it's like they're pulling and tugging for dominance. It's very much so exhausting.
"No, you want to know the reason." He taunts her now. It's like he pokes and pokes and he doesn't stop until she breaks and shouts back at him "YES."
"I when back to him and fucked him because I like the control and power it gives me. It's a rush, a high, Have you ever felt like that? and it helps me and It keeps myself in check from going after what I really want." Syd tells her as he eases into her space as if she is a scared cat.
But she is nothing of the sort, She looks at him in a slight shock and awe.
"And that would be?" She questions but she knows the answer but she still needs to hear it.
"You!" Syd so much as screams it but in reality he doesn't but it felt as if he did.
She tilted her head and narrowed her eyes along with the tears that came to the surface.
"You had me after everything, you had me, I was secret, I was the fixer and I dealt with it all."
"What is he after now, how the hell am I going to spin this?" She spoke out loud as she pulls at her hair
It seems suddenly like she is snapping the cord and taking the oxygen with her. but it's a long time coming. It's too much and when she feels like this bad things happen.
She goes to walk away and he wraps his arm around her and cupped her cheek.
He looks her in the eyes, "I'll fix it." She tells him before pushing him away.

The sun rising from the east point has an orange and yellow shade to it, it's beautiful.
Maribel brings back the arrow as she aims at her target which is at least 20 feet away.
She pulls back and releases it and with that, she lets go of overwhelming feelings.
She is tired of being out of control and it's like she is going to break, she really just wants to scream because it's like she can't get out of her own way just to think clearly.
She has been out here shooting arrows for hours and trying to put herself together.
The voices won't be quiet like the devil on her shoulders, it is Vengeance of betrayal after everything is like her anchor gone, the thing that keeps her grounded.
She doesn't want to feel powerless, weak, and scared like she does not propose or she is a little girl that needs to be saved. There is no time for tears, she lets it go the only way she knows how.
She walks to the target and the arrows in the middle it's a kill shot. It's perfect, it gives her a sick feeling of power.
She missed this feeling, she had been in such a downward spiral.
It's like she was falling and she can't stop.
