I sat outside the cage and stared at the woman inside, unconscious for now. She was strong, there was no doubt. Strong mind. Strong body. But something happened to her after our talk. Something unexpected.
I needed the information she had, yet, I didn't know if she would separate from reality again if I decided to act. I had time to decide, sure, but it didn't seem like enough.
And if she went blank again, how do I bring her out of it without putting her to sleep?
Complications. But nothing I couldn't handle. Caroon would give me what I wanted in time. For the next seven days, I'd watch and listen and think and plan. No one gets away from me without giving me something.
