Without hesitation Shun Su answered, "Visitors are allowed, but mostly guarded by someone especially if they are meat eaters. You would understand why, right?"
Most tribes have this process. This protection is mainly for the safety of females in the tribe. However, it is also to guard the visitors from any harm that their tribe can inflict and vice versa, for the tribe's safety from the visitors.
Fox Tribe strictly complies with this process that it even becomes their written rule. This written rule will be given out to their visitor, if they are against it and feel restricted that they didn't want to follow the rules, they are free not to go in their tribe.
There are many beastmen who go in and out of their Tribe. They would never bend their rule even if the other party carries a female or a cub. But if they are good and can follow their rules, the process feels easier and free.
Beastmen who visit them would either trade goods, skill and sometimes work with them for goods. Ever since their tribe grew, the Tribe wall and houses were built with walls, they are a bit more open to other tribes visiting. As their females and cubs are well secured, safe and protected.
As long as it's a beastmen that can't endanger the females, they can let females go out but with their mates. If it's a beastmen that has the capability to fight with them equally or hard, those beastmen need at least two beastmen guarding one visitor or will depend on the negotiation of how many beastmen will be on guard.
Females both like and dislike having visitors. As most females go out without their mates and it is now allowed, they feel restricted when their given freedom was taken away for a meantime. The wall encompassing their tribe gave the females freedom to roam around the tribe. Not only could they walk around and have fun, they also have their own work. Some love planting seeds and growing plants, creating items with other females, and even gossiping without their mate hearing it.
Anyway, it is indeed possible for them to visit their tribe. They just need to have some Fox beastmen on their tails at all times.
The rabbit beastmen scratched his nape, "Yes. Fox… You eat meat too, right?"
Shun Su saw that the rabbit beastman didn't mean any harm when he said that so he nodded. "Of course we do. However, our tribe has been in this place way back as well as the other tribes that also eat meat, like the panda tribe and others that also eat meat but mostly eat plants. That is the reason why non-meat eaters can't do anything about it. We are not the only ones and have long lived in this place. We were never called meat eaters though, as most females in our tribe eat plants, mostly what we called fruits. Most tribes here are also half meat eaters and half plant eaters but not aggressive, as long as you don't go to their territory unwelcomed."
"That's why…." The rabbit beastmen nodded in understanding. Most tribe's here call them 'meat eaters'. They are quite confused about that as most of those beastmen also eat meat. Their tiger, lion and most of their beastmen can also eat plants but they don't prefer to eat it compared to meat. That might be the reason.
On the other hand, other beastmen including the two leaders on each side are having conversation at the side while watching them inspect the goods. The right hand of their trader leader, who had been on his side all along finally spoke and asked the other group, "If you couldn't find a place to stay with… Are you going to travel all your life?" These beastmen mostly talk only with the tribe leader, the trader leader and other leaders in their tribe. He doesn't like speaking and mostly likes to observe, plan routes and assist all leaders that the tribe have. He enjoys helping with leaders, even though he himself can become one. He now has a task to help out their new trader leader take his position smoothly. He spoke due to what he felt when he was around this tiger beastman.
The tiger beastman answers, "No. We will find a place and build our own." He already mapped out where they can build their own tribe, it's just that for them to do so, they need to go and observe every Tribe nearby.
Jia Ting immediately contradicts him, "You can't do that here."
The tiger beastmen looked at him, "Why?"
"Law of territories," the trader leader answered.
A sudden noise made them stop their conversation and move towards the inspection team.
"What happened?" the tiger beastman immediately asked the rabbit beastman.
"A bulge on the cart they are inspecting suddenly moved. There shouldn't be a living wild animal in there." The rabbit beastman looks at the team who move the carts.
The trader leader spoke, "There's something on the cart? Is there any wild animal alive?" That's what they all thought.
They all shook their heads. "We didn't touch any goods or add any wild animals to the cart. The carts are all prepared beforehand and are covered. After that, no one touched the goods hidden in the cart." Wou explained, then looked at another tiger beastman.
That tiger beastman nodded, "Today, I was the one guarding that cart. I didn't touch it or let anyone get near the cart, that includes wild animals."
"Then what was that movement if not a wild animal?" Some inspector wanted to go and check it out now. Shun Su stopped them.
"No. Those are just fur and skins of wild animals. Please stand back. There might be something inside." The rabbit beastman who was watching them also saw another movement. He looks at the tiger beastman.
The tiger beastman nodded. Everyone stopped and became cautious. The two of the puma who were pulling the cart step in to take away the fur skin covering the goods. All beastman holding their bows and crossbows are ready to shoot.
The cover was taken out and everyone was shocked by what they saw. "Why are you here?"
