The three nodded at them with a smile. They are looking at Jiu Lin with uncertainty. Lee Youhan knows that they are a bit cautious about others joining them but he knows it won't be a problem.
Jui Lin might be famous for some, but to beastmen who are mostly outside the tribe, they don't know much about any famous beastman. Their life is all over the forest. They travel more than they rest in the tribe. The Fox tribe is their safe place for a rest, while the forest is their home ground.
The only way for them to lower their animosity is to introduce Jiu Lin with Jia Ting's name. Jia Ting is a respectable beastman to ant hunters and traders. If there is a famous beastmen in their eyes, Jia Tin is definitely one of them. "This is Jiu Lin, a relative of Jia Ting. He will be joining us. Jiu Lin, he is Yu Qi, good at crafting, all the things that need to be crafted can be handled by him. He mostly fights as our ranger."
"Hi." Yu Qi nodded at Jiu Lin. He nodded back at her.
Lee Youhan pointed at another beastman who's eyes looked incredibly sharp. "This beastman is Shen Bin, our sharpshooter. He mostly uses a bow and arrow and crossbow." They both nodded at each other as a greeting.
It looks like both of them just greeted each other, yet Jiu Lin felt that Shen Bin's eyes hold animosity the most when he was introduced earlier. Not knowing why, Jiu Lin just shook it off.
Jiu Lin looked at the beastman who's quite built. He is the last one who hasn't been introduced yet. He is bigger than everyone around right now, but definitely not as much as the old beastmens who worked their whole life in the mines and such. But compared to normal body proportions, he exceeded it well.
Lee Youhan hung his arm to the beastman. "This is Shi Tou, he is our front fighter. He fights face to face with our enemies." Shi Tou took Lee Youhan's arm off. Lee Youhan is the tallest in their group. Shi Tou felt small every time Lee Youhan did that.
Jiu Lin properly introduces himself, "Hello. I'm Jiu Lin. You can position me to any when fighting. My aim is good, but right now I didn't bring my weapon. I can also go with Yuns due to my sensitive hearing. Or go to the front when needed."
"Can you become a physician too?" Shi Tou looked genuinely curious.
Jiu Lin smiles and nods, "I can."
Shi Tou shockingly asked, "Really?" He was just kidding. He didn't expect that Jiu Lin would really be able to become physcian.
Lee Youhan laughed at Shi Tou's ignorance, "His family taught him everything."
Jiu Lin added, "They did. I'm not exactly good at everything, but I can dabble." then grins at Shi Tou. They talked about a bunch of things while waiting for Lee Ming and the two Yuns. Shi Tou and Yu Qi kept on questioning Jiu Lin, wanting to know more about him.
"You are Hu'er's mate, aren't you?" Shen Bin suddenly asked while they were in the middle of conversation.
Jiu Lin's head snapped towards Shen Bin. "I am," he answered.
"Make sense… A miracle female doesn't deserve an untalented beastman." He stood up and went towards Lee Ming and the two Yuns who were walking toward their way.
Jiu Lin watched him go away feeling odd that Shen Bin suddenly said that. He was right that Hu'er deserved to have talented beastman as her mate. He was just shock on how he calls Hu'er, 'Miracle Female'.
"Don't mind him. His family wants to marry him away while he wants to be Hu'er's mate. She Bin has been in the forest for so many seasons. Didn't expect you to be hers." Yu Qi stood up and nodded at him. He invited them to follow him back, "Let's go and start the hunt."
The darkness has changed the peaceful forest. It is scarily quiet.Yet their hunt is just beginning. "Medium sized wild animal on north side with estimated 125 steps away." A voice for Jiu Lin's right side came. He looked at who it was and saw Lee Yunsi above them, on the tree.
Lee Ming nodded and asked. "Edible?"
"Yes, hippell," Lee Yunsi jumped down.
Lee Min was in deep thoughts. Everyone gathered around. After a while he nodded again and said, "Hippell goes out two to five. Try to find the other hippell. Will catch up to you."
Stretching out he said, "Lee Yunwei is still there, he must have found the other Hippell already." Lee Yunsi didn't wait and ran towards where they found Hippell.
"Let's go. Run 125 steps to the north."
"Yes." They all transformed into foxes and followed Lee Yunsi all the way north.
Trees after trees they jumped until Lee Ming transformed back and said. "Stop."
Lee Yunwei appeared nearby and informed them in a low voice, "There's only three hippell on site. They are in the water right now."
Lee Ming hummed. "Only one large and two medium sized Hippell. But enough for today's hunt."
He looked at everyone and explained the characteristics of Hippell, "Remember, hippell is an aggressive wild animal. Once they charge towards you, jump up to a tree. Just make sure to not let them bums into you. You might not die but your bones will definitely crash."
Then, he starts to give instructions, "Yuns, annoy the hippells and be the target. Run as much as you can.Don't let them catch up to you. Yu Qi, make sure to not let any wild animals join the fight. Stay vigil. Fight any wild animals that come in. Lee Youhan and Shi Tou join Yu Qi. This is not a fight you can take on. If you see the Yuns getting in danger go in the fight and hit the hippells. Then Yuns, you two need to take back the aggro so Shi Tou and Yu Qi can retreat away safely."
After that, he looks at Jiu Lin and asks, "You know how to use bows right?"
"Yes."
Lee Ming gave him the bow that he was holding, "Your target is that middle medium one. Make sure not to hit Yuns while you're at it."
Jiu Lin nodded, "En."
"Shen Bin targets the large one and I will shoot the right side Hippell," Shen Bin didn't say anything but gave Lee Ming his extra crossbow.
Lee Ming took it and focused on his target, "Everyone get ready. Yuns start now."
