Jia Ting closed the door and sat down at her side. He plans to listen. He also wants to see what will happen. For some reason, he feels a bit nervous. But no one could see it through his facial expression.
Bao Hu hummed and sat down in front of her. "There are a lot but I only got a chance to talk to at least eleven tribes. Most of them aren't Aquatic Tribe. They live on land too but could also go in the water."
They only like to call it Aquatic Tribe because they could go to water and were close to the place where Aquatic Tribe is.
Hu'er understands and nods, "Can you list them one by one and describe them to me?"
"Of course. I'm free anyway." His hand flew as if telling her he had nothing to do.
He likes to exaggerate things using movements and signals. He can restrict himself but prefers not to.
Bao Hu excitedly starts as he stood up, "I'll go and tell you about my Mom's tribe first. The Goose Tribe.
The Goose Tribe looks different from any other Tribe you have seen. You would see their ears, it's hidden. Their ears have this circular cover. Even their tail is mostly hidden by their clothes because of how small it is. They have very long hair and round eyes. Their lips…. They call it pouty lips.
Anyway, they have more females than any other beastman Tribe in that place. It might be because the females there can easily give birth. But then if there is one female there are five hundred more beastmen.
Only in ten days, the females would give birth to several eggs. When it comes to females they still need to wait until one hundred and fifty days to give birth to them. It's also the reason why females of the goose tribe have hundreds of mates. Some would go to nearby tribes and trade themselves just to have a mate.
It is rare to have a situation like my Dad, who would go there to mate with my Mom. After all, the females there already have so many mates. My Dad just fell in love with my Mom and just pushed through it."
He is very vivid about how he describes them. Using actions, just like in the old days. It also made everything interesting.
Hu'er suddenly remembered something, 'According to Old Grandmom, females of Fox Tribe need sixty days to give birth to a cub and mostly one hundred days for a female. It might be because the others need to hatch eggs and they don't need to do it…?'
Her Daddy Bao Hu went on and on and on. He told her the Tribes he knew, their appearance, and their birth rate. She listened in relish.
However, eight Tribes have already been said yet she didn't feel anything or retrieve her memory.
Bao Hu became very excited. The next tribe is his favorite to tell, "The eighth is the Betta Tribe. It's one of the Fish Tribes. They have a man's upper body but their lower is a tail. Their tails are very beautiful and colorful. They use it to attract their females.
They don't have ears but gills on their necks. They also have their way of communication.
Betta beastman can breathe the air outside for a very short time. I traded with them two times because our trader didn't understand them. This is how we communicate."
Bao Hu starts to wave his hands, point at something, nod, do things, and so on.
"Then in the middle of communication, they will swim to breathe underwater then come back to communicate again." He still acted how the Betta beastmen dived the water.
"I haven't seen their females though. So I don't know anything about them." Then he sat down.
Hu'er gave him water. He drank it straight. Bao Hu really needed that water. His throat felt dry after all that stuff he said.
He cleared his throat before continuing, "Tenth is the Dolphin Tribe. As far as I know, it's double or triple the size of the Betta Tribe. Dolphins are mostly the same as Betta Tribe.
They don't have pretty tails but could communicate. They could also stay much longer outside the water. We mostly trade with them for water treasures.
The Dolphin Tribe can be said to be the master of tongue. They could speak our language and the Aquatic Tribes. They are very kind and look good. Their female never came up the water though."
Bao Hu stops and looks at Jia Ting, "I don't know much about the last Tribe. Every time we go there. The traders will be divided into two. Half will go to Goose Tribe and the other to Swan Tribe. I always went to the Goose Tribe. After all, my Mom is there. Jia Ting knows more about the Swan Tribe."
Hu'er saw a flash of memory but it was too fast for her to read it. Yes, it is the book but she only read the 'Swan Tribe' and the memory vanished.
She is now sure that the reason why she felt pain when hearing Aquatic Tribes is because of the Swan Tribe. The Swan Tribe was written in the book!
Her eyes are shining as she asks, "Can Daddy Jia Ting tell me about it?"
Jia Ting hummed and nodded, "The Swan Tribe and Goose Tribe are very close to each other. They nearly have similar features."
Bao Hu suddenly interrupted, "No, they don't. My eyes are still working. The Swan Tribe is more beautiful than the Goose Tribe." He then grinned at Jia Ting.
Jia Ting sighed and continued, "The Swan Tribe has very elegant features. Their ears are hidden with some feathers. The female's face is much more delicate." Then he looks at Bao Hu who is nodding in satisfaction.
He added, "But, the Swan Tribe has a hard time giving birth to eggs and females. They have very little population. Their intelligence made up for it though…" Jia Ting didn't know what to say anymore.
It was just in time that Hu'er had a question, "Why is it hard for them to give birth?"
Jia Ting pursed his lips before explaining, "Females are very delicate and vulnerable when pregnant. Females will need to carry their eggs inside them for ten days. When the eggs come out. Five out of ten will die.
When the female is pregnant with another female, they need three hundred days before they could give birth to the baby. If the baby successfully came out, the little female is much stronger than our Fox Tribe's little female.
While the little female is inside the female's body, the mom's body will weaken and have a high chance of not completing the three hundred days which will result in a dead little female. It's—"
Hu'er didn't hear the next word as she saw black. Her body swayed. She opened her mouth to say something. However, before Hu'er could utter a word she passed out.
