" Tutelary? The Protector Of Humanity?"
Ricky looked at the Escort with doubt.
The Escort didn't appear to be joking. Finally, the Escort's face broke into a smile.
" I'm the real Tutelary your thinking of."
After a few seconds, words finally appear in front of Ricky.
{ The Keeper Of Light, Protector Of Humanity, and Supreme Wizard Tutelary Ezcalor revealed his identity. }
{ Your Magic Particles have increased by three. }
A brief blue glow briefly encircled Ricky's whole body. The mere knowledge of the Escort's name enhanced his magical prowess.
That indicated that the "name" was worth that much, but because this was the first time Ricky had experienced something like this, it was only natural for him to feel a little intrigued.
"As anticipated, you have a lot of talent! Not everyone receives something just because they hear my name. For example, other people think it is just a drawing that might be nothing more than a waste of time, but for others, it might be a piece of art."
Ezcalor grew more and more enthused with Ricky, his easygoing as always.
I had never before heard that the Tutelary followed Lugh.
"I didn't follow him intentionally, that wouldn't be right. We were forced to work our power together to survive. If it were possible to pierce the Seal of Abyss... Both reality and the imaginary will change and combine. It was very clear that mankind would perish if the world descended into chaos."
He also appeared to be the driving force for the summoning of Earthlings to this location.
Ricky was no longer able to take it as a joke.
Ezcalor was currently informing him about this world's history.
He was aware that when the Seal of Abyssal Plain was shattered, the Evil Gods would be set free. However, not even Ricky was aware of the nuances of its history.
" Are you saying that the summoning and arrival of the people from Earth were already decided since a long time ago?"
Ezcalor nods his head in agreement.
"Yes. Honestly, it didn't look too hopeful either. Even if they were to prepare for the Evil God, there was always a limit since they were too powerful. Because of this, the human race's limitless potential was our only hope, but.."
He suddenly stopped talking.
Ricky already understand this even if he hadn't heard the rest of the narrative.
After all, humans ultimately failed to defeat the Evil Gods.
Instead, many people with promising futures were slain as a result of human conflict.
Furthermore, even Ezcalor himself was unable to take into account human needs and greed.
Ezcalor might have still strongly trusted in humanity as their final hope even if he had known that it was like a mystery box.
" But if you are the one who was acknowledged by the Ruler Of The Underworld, you have the chance to become a real hero, in my opinion."
The burning look in Ezcalor's eyes was making him feel uncomfortable.
However, Ricky didn't really like how he was sweet talking him.
Ricky placed a lot of pressure on his neck before he spoke.
"So what is your point?"
"Become my successor."
{ The Supreme Wizard Ezcalor offered you to become his successor.}
{ If you accept this you will obtain a Special Class 'Successor Of The Supreme Wizard'. }
Ricky believed he had previously heard about this.
that a person may possibly learn something from powerful beings.
Ricky is gifted with a universal body and was able to accept four classes, unlike most others.
He now has a Mythical Class under his belt, so earning another wasn't a bad idea.
Still...
Embodiment Of Death is still a magic-type class.
Ricky intended to obtain other highly distinctive classes.
He could also determine that the Successor Of The Supreme Wizard class was a magic-type class merely by its name.
" I decline your offer."
" You... decline? "
Ezcalor's expression abruptly changed to be odd.
It was as though he had never anticipated having his offer rejected.
Ricky spoke quietly.
'I need to stay together with you for a while if I want to train with you, right?"
The entity Ezcalor was unable to exit the Red Forest.
It would take a lot of time to absorb everything he had to teach.
'' Ten years is more than enough for you to become a great wizard."
In response to the anticipated response, Ricky merely shook his head.
"Although becoming a skilled wizard sounded good, he could acquire far stronger items and classes by residing in the vast world of Tir in ten years."
He needed to find some great item first, so to speak.
"I'm more interested in the world outside these plains."
"Even if you go there, not much interesting stuff is there. Learning from me now is much preferable to facing the demons later."
"Do you guarantee that I will be able to exterminate the Evil Gods if I train with you?"
"That.."
It would obviously be impossible.
As he said, Ricky's limit here in ten years is that he can only engage in fierce combat with Evil Gods but he still won't win the fight.
Ricky was aware of Ezcalor's demise.
Even after he transformed back into himself, all he could accomplish was imprison three powerful demons for ten days.
And that's all.
There was a limit even if Ricky was to accept everything Ezcalor had to give.
Of course, that was amazing in and of itself. It was sufficient for him to earn the title of greatest Wizard.
Ricky, though, was too familiar with the past.
Staying here has a limit and he should not waste ten years in this place if he knew that it wouldn't result in winning against the Evil Gods.
