Khan was sitting in his bed, his latest conquests, Kyaia, and Wahanly. They both clung to Khan's waist, sleeping soundly. The massage training that had caused Kenshi so much trouble had allowed Khan to seal the deal on a few girls. For the most part his actions in helping out have had a few similar incidents like in the anime.
For example, running into Lapis and Aura. Of course, certain things couldn't be duplicated like enrolling into the academy. Khan was an adult after all.
Khan decided to peek into Lashara's current activities. To his surprise, Lashara was viewing a message from her aunt. Queen Flora was inviting Lashara over for their break in order to celebrate Gold's return from political exile. Flora began listing the other attendees, like Aura, Lithia, her daughter Maria, and by extension Yukine. As well as Lashara's knights, Chiaia and Wahanly. Flora even invited Dagmeyr, she acted like it was an act of altruism, but Lashara thought that it was more of a way for her aunt to pump information out of him.
Khan stopped watching, because he knew how it was going to end. Chiaia began stirring, catching Khan's attention. Khan noted that the achievements were coming less and less. His last achievement was not for claiming Mexiah and Neizai, but for erasing Ulyte.
[Congratulations you killed a true trickster and unlocked the following rewards:
3× Companion Lottery Tickets
A Liar's Instinct (Passive) a liar always know when they are being lied to and now so do you.]
It was an okay reward but nothing to write home for. Khan reasoned that there was only so many achievements and rewards, that their requirements must change with each world. Since after all he was technically entertainment for others. If he did the same thing over and over again it would get boring pretty quick.
Khan checked his schedule, he had a massage appointment scheduled with Yeliss, Bwoole, Wreda, and Gryino over the course of this next week and their extended break doesn't start for two weeks. Plenty of time to make arrangements since most of the male students actually hate him. They think he is beneath them, Khan noted that when he takes the academy they will all have to go. Either on their own two feet or in a bodybag.
...
Lashara was fuming about her aunt's message. She was practically blackmailing her to come to her resort. After taking a breath, Lashara calmed down. Her aunt had invited Khan. In fact she wouldn't be surprised if this whole thing was organized so that her aunt could have a go at Khan.
Lashara was very aware of what happened after a woman spent time with Khan. The shift in loyalty if not personality would be noticeable for those who knew what to look for. Both Chiaia and Wahanly were square in Khan's grasp, and honestly if this had been anyone else at any other time, Lashara would have been severely worried about it. However, for one reason or another she was comfortable with it being Khan.
The vacation also provided an opportunity to speak with her mother, unless she misunderstood her aunt. After all, the point of this whole thing was to celebrate her mother's reinstatement to power. It wouldn't make sense not to have her there.
The idea of both her mother and her aunt in Khan's bed, begging him for more was oddly satisfying. She had been keeping tabs on Khan and his little escapades. Not only was he earning a lot of money, he was gaining some serious influence among the female students and staff. Lashara knew once he had her aunt and mother, all he would need to do is deal with Aura's father, King Shurifon. A task that will be significantly easier if he seals the deal with Aura during this break.
Lashara began to smile, Khan was going to be a real golden goose and if she a position herself to run his finances, all the better.
...
Khan was sitting on the roof of the luxury ship meant to head to Flora's resort. For the most part it was like the anime, except Emera was escorting Dagmeyr, Lashara wasn't sulking about the trip, and Khan was planning on testing his Arcane Rifle during the trip. Speaking of which, Khan had said rifle in his hands. He was inspecting, and cleaning it.
As the ship was preparing to link with the others, Khan took aim. With the help of The Eyes of Hermaeus Mora, Khan has a location of every bandit that was planing a raid of the resort. Khan had a decision to make. With the exception of Korudine, who was on one of the ships, most, if not all, of the bandits were useless or unappealing. For example, Ran, who had both a rotted personality and who would cut and run while betraying any associate for some self-preservation, would not be useful. The decision was obvious. Khan took aim and pulled the trigger.
*Click*
Unless an onlooker had spiritual awareness or an ability to sense magic, the only thing they would have seen or hear was Khan's rifle going click. However, the reality was a ball of light, the size of a basketball, shoot forward and ten meters out broke up into dozens of smaller pieces. They went in every direction and didn't stop until they hit there intended target.
One by one bandits were dropping dead, pieces of them missing, blood pouring out. As a smile of satisfaction cross Khan's face, another thing appeared to brighten his day.
[Congratulations you've slaughtered a group of would be bandits whose only sin were wanting something you claimed as yours. You have been rewarded the following:
Meteor Storm (Active) Summon for anywhere between 10 to 100 meteors, with a ranging size of as small as basketballs or as big as semi-trucks (minus the trailer). (Warning affect is random there is no way to determine size of strike zone or determine collateral damage)]
Khan looked at the new skill, it would be useful as an opening salvo, but with the randomness of it, using it as a precision tool was a fool's errand. Khan made his to the observation deck, where the others were waiting. When he arrived, Aura said, "Khan! Where have you been, we've been wondering."
Khan looked at everyone to confirm if that was the case. Lashara was sitting on a beach chair napping. Maria was sitting drinking tea. Yukine was trying to steal glances at Khan, as was Lithia. Lithia had been shy around Khan ever since Lapis had conspired with him to give her medicinal tea.
Khan answered Aura by saying, "I was just on the roof taking in the sights." Khan then left saying that spotted some he wanted to talk to. That was partially true, his real goal was deciding on what to do with Ceres and his rather plain looking girlfriend Hazuki.
Before he would've been a friend of Kenshi, but know there was practically no interactions. So, ultimately if Khan decided to ignore him it woul be now skin off his teeth. But then again he could use those two for a little experiment. Of course there were a few things to take care of. For example the welcoming ceremony, as well as Korudine, she might try to run when she learns that her crew had already been eliminated.
...
Korudine was discussing last minute details with Ceres and his little girlfriend. Korudine was acting like everything was normal, but something was bothering her. This was supposed to be an easy score. After all male Sacred Mecha-Masters were valuable and tended to be easy to handle because of their spoiled up bringing. However, there has been a growing suspicion that something was wrong.
It was an instinct she had developed, as a leader it was her most valuable skill when pulling a job. She'll have to check with her subordinates once these marks are secured in that isolated house she had set up.
Korudine continued as planned, but the feeling that something was wrong wouldn't go away. Especially after she couldn't spot any of the others. Once the sun began to set Korudine tried to make contact, but before she even stepped outside she found a man standing in front of her.
The smiled and said, "Korudine, it is a pleasure to finally meet you in person. Before I continue, I am afraid to tell you that your associates are dead and you are the last one left."
Fear began to grip Korudine, as a myriad of thoughts began to bombard her. 'How did this happen, did someone betray them, am I really the only one left?' Such thoughts among others flooded Korudine's mind.
The man placed his hand on her cheek and said, "Of course you needn't worry, I have something special planned for you, as such I need you alive." Korudine was unsure how to react. On the one hand, this man probably had a hand in the demise of her people, and could kill her before she could blink. On the other hand, he said he needed her, but he isn't saying how. Left with no real options, Korudine asked, "What do you want from me?"
