It was Saturday, I was sleeping when my phone rang it was Bella.
📲"Madam, are you ready?" Bella asked
📱"Ready for what?" Gabby asked back
📲"Have you forgotten what I told you yesterday?" She asked
📱"Ooh, sorry I was just taking a nap when you called, let me just dress up" Gabby replied
📲"Okay dear, if you are through just flash me I will be at your doorstep," she said
📱"okay" (call hung)
Gabby went straight to the bathroom to take a shower, dress up, and leave without any makeup.
She took her phone and called her, Bella said that she was outside the gate.
Gabby went out and a car horn, it was Bella.
"Hey, babe get in" She opened the car door for Gabby
"Whose car is this now?" Gabby asked
"Chill joor, it's my new ride" she smiled
"What? Where did you get the money to buy a car? because your dad has said that he won't buy any car for you" Gabby asked
"Hmm madam, someone bought it for me as a gift," she said
"Bella who is the someone? Please stop all this bad lifestyle, there is no gain in it" Gabby advised
"Madam don't start your preaching again, if you know that you will not keep your mouth shut you can kindly get down and go back home," she said
"Bella am telling you the truth, stop all this bad lifestyle of the devil, the devil got nothing to offer, come to God and he will give you a new life," Gabby said
"It's as if you are deaf right? Oya get down from my car" She stopped the car to a halt
"Which area is this? It's so quiet and it seems dangerous I can't get down, you picked me from my father's house so if you want me out of your car you need to drop me at my father's doorstep" Gabby said
"You think am joking right?" Bella got down and dragged Gabby out of her car leaving her on the ground and she drove off.
Gabby was so disappointed and regretted that she ever knew Annabella.
She got some bruises on her legs and her elbow, she stood up from the ground.
Tears rolled down her eyes when she remembered all the warnings Fola always gave her about Bella and how her elder brother warned her about Bella.
Gabby couldn't control her tears it was just pouring like a running tap.
She didn't even know the area she was in, she checked her phone if they were network but unfortunately no network.
Gabby was just walking in an unknown area wishing she could see a cab or bike, but none.
She continued walking until she saw two unknown guys, she wanted to ask them for a description but they were smoking so she decided to walk passed them not until someone touched her.
"Babe I been dey call you but you dey do yanga" an unknown guy said
"Excuse me! Who are you and who gave you the right to touch me?" She asked
"Who you dey talk English with? Wetin dey do you? Wetin dey the body wey dem no fit touch" another guy said and touched her breast which made Gabby slap him.
"be like say you no know wetin dey sup" he slapped her back.
"How dare you slap him, you know who we are?"
Gabby holds her cheeks
"Please you guys should free me, let me go" she pleaded
"You no dey go anywhere, we must lavish you today, you touch my face with slap you think say I go allow you go scot-free?" the guy she slapped asked
"You lie" the other guy replied
Gabby was been dragged to an unknown building when someone came to rescue her.
He was fighting the two guy like a superman and that makes her heart race.
The thugs ran off, it was remaining only her and her hero.
"Are you okay?" He asked
"Yes I am" she replied and raised her head properly to see her crush, she fainted.
"Oh no, miss please get up" he tried waking her up but she didn't wake up.
He decided to take her home. Luckily for her, his mom was a doctor and she was on leave today so he took her home.
He rang the doorbell and his elder sister opened the door.
"Ife what wrong? Who is this you are holding in your hands" she asked
"Please leave the story for now, I will explain everything to you, where is Mom?" He asked
"She is in her room" she replied
"Okay thanks" he went straight to his mom's room after laying her on his bed.
"Mom" he called out
"Ifemi, what's wrong?" She asked
"Mom, please can you just follow me to my room?" he requested
"Why? What's wrong?" His mom asked
"Please just follow me" he pleaded and she agreed by following him to his room.
She saw her and asked what really happened, he explained everything to her.
She asked him to open all the windows in his room which he did.
His mom attended to her and told him that she would be fine and he thanked her.
"You are really, my son, I'm proud of what you did today. If you hadn't arrived there on time to save her only God knows what those useless guys would have done to her" his mom smiled at him
"Mom you raised me well, you deserve to always see the good qualities in me," he said
"That's true, anytime she woke up don't hesitate to wake me up," she said
"Okay Mom" he sighed
"Mom am hungry, let go eat please" his sister walked in
"You and food, go set the table I and your brother will join you soon," their mom said
"Okay Mom," she said walking out
"Mom please tell her to go get married so that she can get to eat enough in her husband's house," he said
"Don't mind your sister, go take your shower and come join us for dinner" his mom smiled
"Okay Mom, I will join you soon," he said and his mom left.
He went to the bathroom and took his shower then dress up. He wanted to leave the room when he walked to where Gabby was to check on her.
She was still unconscious, he sat down beside her and admired her beauty, her face seemed familiar but he couldn't figure out where and when.
"Ifeoluwa" his mom called out
"Mom am coming" he said and closed the door gently by walking downstairs to the dining room. After eating, his mom asked if she was awake and he said no.
"Don't worry she will be fine" his mom assured
"Mom I will be in my room, in case you need me you can call me," he said
"Alright dear"
"Ife are you sure that lady is not your girlfriend? Because you seem more concerned" his sister asked
"Hey, she is not my girlfriend" he rolled his eyes
"Temidayo it okay, he said that she is not his girlfriend, he has the right to be concerned because he is human. The feeling is mutual" she cautioned Temi
"Mom you won't understand, I was the one that opened the door for him. You need to see the way he brought her in his hands like a bride. Sha anyone you wanna do just consider dating again, let your past be your past. She is beautiful, you might consider giving this one a trial" Temidayo winked
"Just keep shut please, you know that it impossible, no one can be like my Ella. God was so unfair to me when he took her away from me" he yelled
"Temi you see what you caused now, we are trying to make him forget about his past yet you are remembering him. If he decides not to date anyone please leave my son alone, let him grief his pain away" she warned
"But mom, you yourself realized that am saying the truth here. He need to move on from his past, he should give love a chance. Don't you know that by doing so Ella will be more happy seeing you happy or you think she is happy wherever she might be seeing you devastated? No dear, you are not allowing her soul to rest in peace why because you are unhappy" Temi hissed in annoyance
"Please just stop talking, if you may excuse me" he went straight to his room by locking the door.
He wept and remembered all the memories he and Ella shared.
"I just can't love anyone else, why did you leave me alone in this crude world. God why did you took my happiness from me, why?" He questioned God
He stood up from where he was crying and sat near Gabby with his teary eyes.
"If truly you are a living God and you want me to still believe that you are the God that answers prayers, give this young lady her life back, don't allow me to witness another person's death in my hands please God" he challenged God
In less than an hour, Gabby woke up from her long sleep by shouting "Please leave me alone"
"It's okay dear, calm down I won't hurt you" he hugged her.
It been long he hugged someone so passionately since the death of his girlfriend. He found comfort in hugging this young lady over here.
"Please how did I get here," Gabby asked
"I was the one that brought you here, I rescued you from those thugs and you fainted after you saw my face, so I have to bring you to my home for my mom to treat you. She is a medical doctor" he explained
"Thank you," Gabby said
"You are welcome, you can lay down back let me get my mom to check on you" he went to call his mom from her room.
It was 10 pm already, she was about to sleep when he walked in.
"Is she awake?" she asked
"Yes, she is" he replied
"Okay, let's go to your room" They went to his room and she examined Gabby.
Gabby was okay, she asked her to sleep and that she needed enough rest then said good night afterward.
"Good night Mom," he said to his mom
"Good night ma" Gabby muttered.
