Chapter 3 - Bedivere, the Exiled Knight of the West Seas?!

Five years ago, in the Kingdom of Briton.

Briton is a kingdom in the West Seas ruled by a monarch consisting of members of the Round Tables. Unlike other domains, it is a prosperous land filled with good soil that produces the best harvest in the seven seas. In that Kingdom, military power is vast and protects the citizens of the Kingdom, mainly made up of first-class and nobility.

"But, Your Highness!" Bedivere pleads for mercy to the King of Briton, Claudio.

"Bedivere, I know that the former King picked you to participate in the Round Table despite your peasant upbringing. As the current King of Briton, I would not allow anyone with peasant blood running in their veins to spread their contaminated blood on my Kingdom." King Claudio argues.

"Your Highness, isn't it the role of the King to protect its citizens and lead the kingdom?" Bedivere attempts to reason with the King.

"And those 'people' are not my subjects. They are simply tools to keep the economy of the Kingdom going." The King stubbornly disagrees with Bedivere.

Bedivere had had enough of the current King's foolish actions and decisions. He stood up from kneeling in front of the King and threw his gloves in front of the King. Such actions are seen as a formal disagreement in the culture of the Kingdom of Briton. It can also be interpreted as a formal invitation to a duel.

"As a knight of the Round Table, I disagree with your decisions. As my authority, I declare you to a duel -" before Bedivere could finish his sentence, a considerable shock forced him to the ground, rendering him unable to move.

"You should stop now with your impulse, Bedivere. You don't want to make the King angry." said the Knight in front of him.

"Gawain, you damn rat! Are you just going to let this man speak ill of the people of our Kingdom like that?!" Bedivere responded to Gawain's actions.

Gravity Manipulation - one of the five Blessings Gawain possesses. Blessings are innate abilities given to people from the day they are born. An average person will get one Blessing at maximum, and only a few are granted a good Blessing that is enough to mistake it for a miracle. Gawain is a vast exception from all of these rules. Since birth, Gawain has been granted 5 Blessings, giving him the nickname of Sun's Child.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness, for my colleague's foolish actions." Gawain kneeled in front of King Claudio, ignoring Bedivere's response.

"Hahaha, you idiot peasant! With your actions, I would've publicly executed you myself! Be glad you have a friend like Gawain right here, huh?!" King Claudio stood from his throne and stepped on Bedivere's face.

"I'm afraid to say it, but I don't have a friend with peasant blood running in their veins." Gawain bowed his head as a show of respect to the King.

"Oh, is that so? Then, public execution it is!" King Claudio throws his arm around Gawain's shoulder, acting friendly towards the Sun's Child.

Gawain looked into King Claudio's eyes, and his eyes say it all that he wanted to speak to the King.

Get your filthy hands off of me.

As soon as King Claudio felt the pain from staring into Gawain's eyes directly, he backed away. Shortly after, an intense aura enveloped the whole throneroom where they were. Among the people inside it, they instantly knew whose atmosphere this one belonged.

"Oi, who says you can publicly execute Bedivere, King of Fools - Claudio?!" Lancelot appeared, slamming the door of the throneroom as he kicked it open.

"What are you doing, Lancelot?! I just renovated the whole throneroom with the most expensive paint on the market!" King Claudio yelled at Lancelot.

"As I care, fool! What's with this executing Bedivere in the first place?" Lancelot responded.

The argument between Lancelot and King Claudio, with Gawain thrown into the mess, took five hours until they concluded.

"As Sir Lancelot of North Seas suggested, the execution of Sir Bedivere of West Seas will be changed to being thrown into exile and will never be allowed entry into the Kingdom of Briton. Is anyone opposed to this?" The right-hand man of King Claudio announced.

"No, it should be fine," Lancelot responded.

"As there are no more opposed to this, with the power bestowed to me by Your Highness, King Claudio, I, Ponta Kora, announced the banishment of Sir Bedivere of West Seas!" he announced in front of the public.

Present Day.

Bedivere who was knocked out cold, wakes up inside the pub that Pierre dragged him into.

"What the hell?!" Bedi expressed his shock from waking up tied to his chair.

"Oh, you're awake now, Pedi!" Pierre cheerfully greeted the newly awaken Bedivere.

"I told you, my name is Bedivere!" Bedi yelled at Pierre's face.

"So, Gedi, you're an exiled knight?" Pierre jumped the gun and asked him right away.

"How did you know?" Bedi curiously asked Pierre.

"Oh, I asked those guys behind you. Wow, this meat is godly!" Pierre answered Bedi's question as he chow down his meal.

As Bedivere looked behind him, he saw a pile of unconscious bandits behind him who fell victim to the young man in front of him.

*gulps*

Before saying another word, Bedivere gulped down, reducing his nervousness.

"This place is awfully empty, huh?" Bedivere chose his words carefully, avoiding any conflict with the man in front of him.

"Oh yeah, they all ran out when I asked those guys," Pierre responded, not giving any attention to Bedi's nerve-wracked face.

"So, Pierre, right? What's your Blessing?" Bedi inquires about some information about Pierre.

"Blessing? What's that, like star sign?" Pierre continues with his feast.

"Your order has arrived!" the waiter delivers a large plate filled with food in it.

"Didn't know you've got plenty of money with you, kid." Bedi attempts to change the topic after not getting anything out of him from his previous inquiry.

"Huh? You're paying for it, right?" Pierre told him.

[I haven't said anything like that.] Bedi thought to himself.
