Chapter 95 - His bark is worse than his bite(4)

"What about you?" Moros talked a lot, but did not mention his own itinerary, and Alan asked, 'Didn't you say you were going to leave Saki too? What if the Yorklands are determined to get you? And..." Alan was on the verge of asking why Moros had come back. Moros was obviously trying to change the subject, but he was afraid he knew the danger and did not want to answer.

"Don't worry, they can't catch me." Moros blushed. He had only just escaped. "These people won't find me if I want to hide. Besides, you've just stripped me of all my things, and I must be ready to go again!"

Alan could only laugh awkwardly, apologetic in his voice: "I'm going to... It's supposed to be Epwey, but if you ever need my help, come to me. '

Moros smiled wearily. "How can I find you when Epyi is so old?"

"The Deco family?

"Ha ha ha..." Moros gave a feeble laugh, laughing at himself. "If you don't mind me forgetting about it, why don't you go and read something on the way, or at least know what Deco is? Otherwise, as a guest of state, you are not as clear as I am a fugitive, too weak!"

After all this time, and especially tonight's outburst, the blacksmith no longer suspected that Alan was bragging. A man who can create dreams. Deco seems so normal.

Before Alan could say anything, Moros added: "Now, if you're all right, go away. I've got somewhere to stay! If you don't go now, you'll have to pay for my weapons if I ever change my mind!"

"Moros..."

"Call me Paggio," the blacksmith was magnate. "I'm going back to my original name. You'll be able to say it better."

'And Kaka!

"Cut! Moros crouched down so that his eyes could meet the little one, and Kaka, sensing the parting, sounded bitter in his cry.

"I won't be able to make toys for you! Take good care of yourself!"

"Cut --" the tone went down, and Chuck seemed to be getting frustrated.

It was in the early morning sun that Alan and Paggio, who had been friends for months, finally parted. Before either of the humans had done much, Chuck, the bacteriallin, burst out crying, making Alan's freshly dried robes sticky as expected.

'If you don't go back or don't go back,' Alan hesitated before getting the words out. 'I know I shouldn't say this, but...' Alan smiled slyly. 'I don't want to go to a place like Ruthg to pick up the body of a man who's killed a thousand families.'

"Who the hell is the whole family dead!" Anyone else might have been angry, but if it had been Alan, who was used to joking, it would have been all right. "My uncle is still alive."

...

At last the Arcane with the mushroom went down the hill towards the little harbour not far away. The blacksmith stood on the hill, watching Alan.

When there was no more sight of the Arcane and no more crying of the mushrooms, Paggio knew it was time for him to go. It's not dangerous here for a while, but it's not safe enough, at least it's still in old Nova bastard's range. Turn your back. Paggio prepares to board. The road home to the afterlife, but he must return, even if his head is particularly valuable!

"Not afraid to be crushed, only innocent in the world!" The blacksmith rolled over and was back in his carriage, his eyes so firm that the sun did not shine!

'It's just Ellen... Pagio sighed as he pulled back the curtain and saw the contents of the compartment, which Alan had said harshly, but which he had given to the blacksmith anyway. "You're not afraid of being sucked into your mouth like that..."
