It was 6 in the morning when the birds chirped, the sun come out with its light shining into my room through the windows. The alarm is ringing, piercing my ears. I wake up and open my smartphone to see any notifications and of course, a lot since I didn't post anything on social media after I tweet about my younger sister's situation. Most of the notifications come from my fans and only a few from my friends.
I get up, take a hot shower, wear a black shirt and a jean, and go downstairs to prepare breakfast for Erika before she goes to school. She is not woken up, yet. After I did preparing the breakfast, Erika is already done showering and getting ready for school. She comes to the dining table and greets me, I reply and eat our food. We eat in silence. After finishing the food, I take the plates and the glasses to wash them in the sink while she getting prepared.
I decide to let her go alone to the school with Rina-chan to reassure myself that she is okay. But before that, I rub her wounds with the lotion doctor gave me. Her injuries still need treatment and I hope she won't do anything stupid at school, or it gonna make it even worse.
She waves goodbye before going and I wave back. The door is closed and I getting ready to open my computer to start streaming. It's been almost a week since the last time I stream. The computer boots up and the home screen has appear. I open the streaming websites that, the one I often use. Prepare for it, set it up for a few minutes, and then click the start button.
The stream has begun. I make sure that everything works properly before announcing myself to viewers. Just after five minutes, a thousand viewers has come and it makes me a shock. The chat room is filled with people welcoming me back and asking the reason behind my break even though it's just a week.
10 minutes later, Rena called me with a Discussion, maybe because she wants to apologize. "Kai-san, Is your sister okay? I'm so sorry for asking you to buy me the item. I shouldn't have asked you, I can go by myself, I'm really stupid to ask-" She keeps apologizing and blaming herself for my sister's injury to the point that I need to interfere. I'm afraid that she will lose confidence if I didn't do anything. Before I say anything, I mute the stream since this matter is personal and I don't want people to know. If not this will become an issue.
"Rena, stop. I said already on the phone that this is not your fault. You didn't know that this could happen. In fact, I should've been blamed for leaving my sister alone." ...Yeah, I think it's my fault.
"Eh, this shouldn't have happened if I didn't bother you to buy that toy for me." She is quite stubborn. She even calls the item, a 'toy'. She must hate the item. I hope she'll not throw that out.
"Stop. We will not discuss this matter again, okay? But, if you really want to apologize, talk to the victim yourself, and let your all out." I told her that because she seems like she doesn't want to accept my denial. So I figure that she will be satisfied when she apologizes to the victim herself.
"But... I never meet your sister, what should I do? Do I need to meet her in person, or give her a gift as a sign of apology? Yeah, I should do that. But I'm never meet you in person yet, so isn't it rude to meet your sister instead of you?" She doing it again. I think it must be a fear of abandonment. Fear of abandonment is a type of anxiety that some people experience when faced with the idea of losing someone they care about. Everyone deals with death or the end of relationships in their lifetime. Loss is a natural part of life. However, people with abandonment issues live in fear of these losses
In her case, she has experienced it before when her boyfriend cheated on her with a woman that she hates. So I think, since then, she is afraid to lose someone again, and she tries everything she can do to not experience the same thing again and that someone is me. This is just my theory, though. I might be wrong.
I tell her to relax and suggest her to just send the gift to my sister if she still doesn't want to meet in person. I type my address in our personal chat and of course, I won't show it to the viewers since they might start looking for me. She accepts it and says that she will send the best gift she ever buys. I don't know what it is but since she wants to, I have no power to hold her back. I tell her that my sister will be back at 2 pm and the meeting will be after we have our lunch.
After talking, I unmute the stream again and the chat keeps asking me why I mute it when we were talking. I just said that it's something personal and I hope they will respect it. Most of them accept it but certain viewers seem like they don't. I just ban them because I don't want to fight with them and it's a waste of time if I did so.
Continue the streaming, I play the horror game named The Asylum I paused when she called me a week ago. I still remember everything like its mechanic, current position, quest, etc. I play for about four hours before I end the stream to buy a few things at the groceries store to make lunch before Erika comes home. I shut down the computer, get up from the chair, take my wallet, and go to the store.
Nothing happen when I was there and I find all the ingredients I need to make lunch, it was still one hour and a half before Erika backs.
