He didn't actually know what woke him up, he tried to look around the inside of the cabin, it was but a single and quite small room, he could see everything from where he stood by just moving his eyes, which was fortunate since that was all he could manage to move at the moment.
However, the cabin was as dark as it could get, the windows being barricaded, there wasn't a single chance for any moonlight to stir through.
Darkness was his only companion, that was what he would have liked to be the truth, but reality was unkind.
There was a slim, shadowy figure standing in a corner, in spit of the ambient obscurity, he could clearly make this figure out, he was certain that it was a woman, fairly tall, at least it seemed so from his current position.
Her arms appeared quite thin, about as thin as he believed a person's arm could get, everything about her was quite slim in fact, he couldn't guess why but each of the feature he could somewhat make out appeared as such, from her hair to the simple dress or skirt she was wearing, impossible to tell when he saw nothing more than a shape.
He was feeling unnerved but not quite scared, he could only take in the information before him but not have an emotional reaction, his mind was uncannily serene.
'How did she get in there?' he calmly wondered as she had yet to make a single movement or sound.
He started to become convinced there wasn't really a person standing in this corner and that it was nothing but an illusion, a trick of his own mind.
Most likely a piece of furniture, there was no way for anyone to get inside after all, without any second thought, he closed his eyes again and fell back to sleep, awakening without any clear reason again.
This time however, he immediately noticed that something wasn't right, sunlight was pouring into the cabin.
The windows weren't barricaded anymore and neither was the door, all of the pieces of furniture were as they should be, standing on their feet.
As he noticed all of this, he remembered his nighttime encounter and now that his mind wasn't quite as foggy as it was at that time, he somewhat panicked, realising that someone or something had managed to get in, whether it was the strange being that had walked around, the scratching beast or something else entirely, he tried to leap out of bed.
But only then did he realise that something was holding him down.
He grabbed that thing, it was a thin arm wrapped in bandages from wrist to shoulder, it wasn't holding him down by pushing down on his chest but it was simply laid over him, he turned his head to look to his left.
Laying right next to him, despite the difference in setting, he clearly recognised the figure he saw standing in a corner during the night, she was holding on to him as if the both of them were lovers, her face was obscured by her dark hair.
Even then, he couldn't help but be surprised by her leanness, her arms were like perfectly continuous cylinders, he could hardly fathom how they could bend even though he could see it happening right before his eyes.
He tried casually removing her arms, since she seemed asleep, he thought to slither his way out and as far away from here as possible, as comfortable as it was, this situation was beyond weird and creepy.
Her grip was well secured on the part of clothing near his right shoulder however, as frail as she was, he had to admit he simply couldn't make her let go.
He tried forcing her fingers off of this grasping hold, no bandages were on her hands, letting him see her thin but surprisingly long fingers, he had imagined this strange woman to be as pale as a corpse but her skin was quite rosy.
In any case, that too proved to be impossible to him, she had an iron hold.
Defeated, he started feeling weird, this situation was so bad after all.
'What the hell am I thinking?!' he snapped out of his revery and instead decided to opt for a more proactive solution, he moved his whole body to the side, thinking that he could perhaps just completely launch her off of him with one more movement.
He had thought to do everything in a single action but once on top of her, her dark hair got off of her face and he finally got a good look at her.
He was quite stunned despite nothing being too weird, sure, she was quite the girl, albeit something seemed off about the disposition of her face, it didn't change much, she had quite the sharp features, her face seemed almost triangular.
Before he could think about anything else, her eyes shot open and Sillion found himself in darkness once more, on his back, in the same position he had fallen asleep in.
He immediately stood up, greeted by the sound of knocking on the door, which was thankfully still barricaded alongside the windows, everything with the woman had been nothing more than a dream.
The knocking however, was certainly real.
The noble didn't know how long he had been asleep for exactly but he felt like a good whole had gone by since then.
"Hey there, I know where your brother is" a voice came from behind the door, so close to it that it almost seemed like the person was inside for a moment but Sillion made sure that it wasn't the case.
"Really? Where is he then?" spoke Sillion back, not believing this man for a single second, although his voice sounded weirdly friendly and trustworthy.
"Open up and let me show you" said the unseen man, whose voice also seemed somewhat muffled.
"Not a chance, tell me from where you are"
"Open the door" calmly spoke back the man.
Sillion stayed silent from there, this guy was also a lunatic, as could have been expected, nothing was to be trusted around here.
"Open the door" he repeated in the exact same tone.
Sillion took a peek through the window by slightly moving something that was in the way, only making sure whether it was night or not.
The sun had risen, it was bright out.
"Move away from the window and open the door" said the man, making the noble freeze.
He hadn't made a sound and yet this guy had somehow known of his action.
Sillion didn't respond or did anything after that, waiting for the man to step away and once he was a fair distance away, he rushed out of the door and took off running in the opposite direction, not able to bear being locked inside this cabin any longer.
