"Anyways that's why the world is lead by big, buff amazonian-like woman, who also glows in the dark and light too, she glows all the time" with a clap of his hands, Ithelisemou concluded.
One small hand was raised right after and Theli nodded to the little kid, signing him to ask away.
"Hum, didn't this all happened years ago? How old are you grandpa?" asked the small boy, looking at his grandfather that looked as fresh as it could be.
"When you are as cool as me, you don't age" he responded with a smile but seeing that even the children weren't buying it, he rolled his eyes comically.
"You'll know when you grow up" he just said.
"Grandpa! Are you sure this is how the story ends? It's so anticlimatic!" spoke one of the older children gathered in front of Theli.
"Of course-"
"But, but Sloth didn't even do anything!"
"And Narik just vanished from the story, what the did the champions do about him?"
"Also, what was that weird bit with the undead guy?"
"Did Ilmna and Milleral get together after all?"
"What about all of the creations you made?"
"Also, the old Gluttony, surely he wasn't just left back sitting in his throne afterwards?"
"What were those three things the god of control saw exactly?"
"Upuh was hyped up but didn't do anything in the end, why is that?"
"Whoa, hey, calm down kids, I was just telling the main bits and adding some more here and there, if you want to know more, I'll elaborate a bit" uttered Theli as he shrugged off the barrage of questions.
"Oh, would you look at that! Your parents! Time to go!" he then added, making the kids scamper away.
Immediately, he got up and slithered off into another room.
"Malina?" he called out to the woman that had her back turned to him and rapidly, she spun around, looking just as she did years ago just like Ithelisemou himself.
"I need your help real quick, no, keep you clothes on, I need you to occupy the kids for a few moments, I sent them away with a well placed lie and I need to be somewhre right now" he explained.
"Ooh... That's a shame but what will I do? Don't you always tell them stories, I have no stories to tell them, at least, none that I can tell them, as hilarious as it is, the one with the bottles is not very appropriate" she scratched her cheek with the butcher knife she was still holding.
"Hum, nevermind, I'll figure something out but where are you going exactly?" she then said.
"Down into the research lab as per usual, I'll be back soon, love you and good luck" he gave her a quick kiss before running off like a thief.
Malina just went into the room, where the kids had already all gathered back up after realising that their grandfather was a stinking liar.
"Hello kids, is there anything you would want to do?" she asked as she sat into the chair Theli had been in, the seat still warm.
"A story!" they all said in perfect unison, they really enjoyed those, probably a bit too much in fact.
"Huuh, anything you would want to know in particular?" she then said, trying to get an idea as she was talking.
The mass of children was silent for a good while until one of the girls in the back had a brilliant idea.
"The story of how you met grandpa!" she spoke loudly.
'Oh my, I'll have to focus and leave some details out' she thought to herself as she wiped her forehead and readjusted her position on the chair.
"Great idea! Well, where to begin? I guess I'll start a bit before I met him..."
And just like that, she began telling the story with passion, skipping over many details unfit for them.
The story of a country girl.
"I used to live in a village further from here, I was still very young back then, not that I am not young anymore but I was younger, we had both been adults for a few years, since we were sixteen, he was a vagrant mage in search of adventures and secrets" she began.
"I was just a villager girl, I milked cow everyday and did some work around the farm of someone else since my family didn't have much at all, so I was also working as a waitress at the local tavern" as she said this, her eyes sparkled as vivid memories came to her.
"That is where I first met your grandpa, Theli, he didn't quite look like the man that he is today but he was super handsome, he came in all by himself, looking for party members to accompany him on some sort of suicide mission, he always did this before" she laughed.
"Immediately, when we saw each other, it was love at first sight, right away we went on a crude date"
"How was the date?" asked one of the girls since Malina had paused to think about her next words.
"Well, let's say we got to know each other very well after I brought him to the barn of the farm I worked at, right after this, I simply knew that I wanted to live the rest of my life with him, I was ready to abandon everything to be with him, my family, my obligations, everything! Not that I was very attached to those anyways but there was problem" she leaned forward and made a pause for extra suspense.
"You see, my parents had had the brilliant idea of promising my hand to some somewhat rich dude, a good plan in theory, at first I didn't mind but now, I had found the man of my life, at first, I wanted to just run away without a word but somehow, the man I was promised too managed to learn of my relation within a day"
"How is that possible?" one of the kids asked.
"Let's just say we weren't very stealthy when we were getting acquainted in the barn, like not at all, so not discreet that pretty much the whole village knew"
"The man in question was enraged obviously"
"Why would we be enraged when you just met someone else? That seems a bit extreme..."
"Huh, don't ask too many questions, he must have been super jealous because he didn't get to go on any dates or get to know me at all, yeah, that must have been it" Malina haphazardly made up an answer.
"So he challenged your grandpa to a sword duel..."
"And?"
"And what? He got messed up, total loss, dude didn't stand a chance, he got beat with the handle of the sword repeatedly until he ran away crying, pretty brutal, that's why I love your grandpa, he can be merciless sometimes, absolut violence like whe-" she stopped herself.
"Is this the end of the story?"
"Well, yes, it wasn't as interesting as I thought, hold on, I'll go get grandma Ortenmia to tell you, her first meeting with grandpa" with that, she went away to find a replacement for herself.
