A large, round room came in the sight of Gregory, unlike the other rooms, this one lacked any of the flesh or bone attachments.
Only a large throne on the opposite of his position was made of bones, or rather, it seemed like the throne was an undead in of itself, the whole thing started moving and squirming as soon as he opened the door and the few skulls decorating it slightly turned to look at him.
The bizarre sight wasn't what Gregory was paying attention to, in fact, he hadn't even noticed its presence for there was something much more dreadful not so far from it.
There was a mass of living flesh, Gregory could feel the aura of a lesser sin coming from it, laying down next to the blob, Gregory recognised the horrific lamb as Euthanasia, scattered around the abomination that he was, various body parts laid around, the head had a crown sitting atop of it.
It was also a lesser sin.
But much worse, sitting atop the sludge of flesh, from which an eye had now emerged to take a look at the otherworlder, stood what he could only describe as a mummy without its bandages.
Lustrous golden coins lodged in its eye sockets and golden hair, a cartoonish expression that should't be possible, Gregory had no clue what to think of what he was seeing but he settled for what was most important.
'A cardinal sin... And it isn't Lust!' he thought alarmingly, he had come here for a particular reason and he doubted he would be able to come out alive from a confrontation with another sin and multiple lesser sins.
The mummy was holding something in her arms as well, some sort of old jar, it also bore the aura of a lesser sin.
There was no way he could do anything here, even running away seemed like an insurmontable task.
"Well, well, well... Just when Vainglory is off with her best undeads, that's unfortunate" remarked Greed as she rested her head in her palms.
"A lucky one! He would already be dead otherwise" spoke Euthanasia as he got up to his feet without his usual baa, blood seeped from his mouth as he slightly shifted into a wolf.
"This one... Is weak enough for me to take care of him! Baa~" he added as he tapped his hooves on the floorboards, his perfect attempts at emulating the cutesy behavior of a lamb was disturbing enough for Gregory to snap out of his reverie, stepping back and grasping one of the swords he had salvaged.
"And the mark I left on him has grown strong too!"
"Well, if you think you can take him, but don't damage him too much, otherworlders body parts can sell for pretty high" told Greed to the lamb as it prepared to pounce forward, not elaborating on whatever that mark he talked about may be to Gregory's dismay.
"Hold a second" a soft and lovely voice spoke up, making Euthanasia freeze and causing Gregory to shift from apprehension to blind rage.
The unwanted felt a delicate hands land on his shoulder, no longer did he pay any mind to the lesser sins or Greed, all of his attention was now on the owner of that hand.
"Don't touch him, my little prey has come back on his own, I guess you couldn't live without me?" spoke Lust mockingly as she put her other hand on his other shoulder, speaking right in his ear.
The hair on all of his body rose and he felt goosebumps, he didn't like that his body reacted like that to her touch, he spun around, turning his back to the other threats to face her.
She looked just like the last time he had seen her, her bluish hair slicked back, exposing her forehead and wearing ample clothes that hid her curves...
Gregory shook his head, intrusive thoughts were making his way into his head, even her mere presence still had an impact on him.
"Ah, that's the guy you mentioned Lust? Can I chop him up when your done with him?" asked Greed from her spot.
"Ooh, there won't be anything left for you when I am done Greed" chuckled Lust, as an ornated and slim dagger slipped out of her sleeves.
She pressed the flat of the blade against her cheek as she arched her back.
"I am not a fan of audiences by the way, let's go somwhere quiet!" she said as she suddenly reached forward with her free hand, grabbing Gregory by his collar before he could do anything and threw him outside of the room, right through a wall.
He coughed up as dust filled the air around him for a few moments, he tried to get up immediately but felt a foot pressing down on his chest.
"You've been so silent Gregory, you used to make more noise before~" spoke Lust, with a sick but somehow charming grin on her face.
Instead of responding her provocations, Gregory took out a dagger and tried stabbing her in her ankle, he made sure to grab it to hold her in place but she broke free without much problem jumping away and landing with utter grace.
"Oooh, look at you! You are managing to not confess your love to me now? Are you still mad about those three wenches? You shouldn't be, you have me! Just give in and maybe I'll let you keep one of your limbs~" she said tantalisingly, pursing her lips and sending a kiss his way.
"Shut the hell up!" he shouted enraged, throwing one of his weapons at her, shattering another part of the wall behind as she managed to evade the blow and escape from his sight.
Grabbing him in a chokehold from behind and squeezing his head in between her breasts, he heard her captivating voice once more.
"That's right, keep resisting, it is much more enjoyable that way, you came here to defeat me didn't you? You can do better than that right? I'll let go of you and you'll show of much of a strong man you are, hehehe..." she ran her fingers through his hair as she spoke, holding him some more, waiting until his face started to change color but Gregory didn't wait for her to fulfill her promise and slashed a dagger at her face.
"Be careful, you wouldn't want my blindfold to come off~" she whispered to him as he saw the pieces of the dagger scattering everywhere after being slapped away.
His body was then launched forward as Lust let go of him.
The cardinal simply put her hands behind her head as if daring him to attack her, swaying her hips from left to right.
"I'll kill you... if it's the last thing I do" his determination didn't waver as he prepared to take her upon that challenge.
