This day, the air felt somewhat more liberating, everyone was waiting for the scouts sent to verify the disappearance of another scout and if they didn't come back in a bit, it would be an assault either way.
It didn't seem anyone would have to wait however, anyone with good perception could feel it, thanks to their experiences in combat, something was coming.
Instead of crushing pressure, it felt like a challenge was thrown at them, before anything even happened.
With a slight movement for each, every single articulations in her fingers cracked, the rough and brutal looking hand grasped a hold of one of her blades, the saber.
Raising it up to the side, she seemingly lightly spinned around and nothing happened at first.
Only then did the wave of dark red energy passed through the trees all around her, completely erasing them from existence, leaving only their perfectly flat stumps behind.
With these ungodly amount of trees vanished, the space in between the place where the challengers where and the place the lesser sins had been staying in had a nice clearing linking them.
Naturally, Wrath herself was perfectly in sight of the everyone, no one could be mistaken about it, it was as clear as day, a cardinal sin had just used her power, it was completely different than the last times for Idil, none of the three other sins she had seen had truly unleashed their powers.
This one had done it to clear the trees and deliberately avoided attacking them by surprise.
A line of bloody pus seeped from her left eye, Wrath quickly rubbed it off while sheathing her saber back, cracking her knuckles, it seemed like she wasn't planning on using her weapons on them.
In the distance, a large wave of blackness suddenly appeared, seemingly pouring out of an invisible building and quickly taking formation, many black knights had appeared on the scene and they didn't seem like they were going to join the side of Wrath, staying at a very good distance.
Since it didn't matter anymore and that he would need his full concentration, Narik released his magic and influence over the iron in the air and allowed the old building they had taken as their own to come in full sight.
The large amount of mana suddenly coming into sight got the attention of a certain champion, who recognised the mana signature immediately.
Apart from Wrath and the black knights, no other opponents directly showed themselves and since none of those two entities seemed to be going to attack first, the large group of champions and heroes alike had some time to think.
It was simple, most of them would have to focus on Wrath alone, the fact that she wouldn't even use her swords on them could be seen as hubris but each of them having seen the earlier wave of power, none could even begin to consider it so.
They arrived to their overall idea of a plan in a few moments and as if to mock them, an enormous dragon climbed up on the distant building, this one not bothering to throw his presence at them, though the dragon seemed to have seen something or someone of interest.
Occult could clearly see the boy that had rudely punched him in the face, a hero he heard, the old wizard had met his fair share of system chosen hero in the past and he could clearly sense a few of them on the opposing side, which was fairly concerning in of itself but the real problem was that boy.
He didn't know the specifics exactly but this one was clearly a threat to sins!
"Abhorrent!" roared the dragon, letting his thought known to everyone as he flew up in the sky, collapsing a great deal of the building he had stood upon.
Staying in sight of the worms below, he knew that the boy would follow him.
Occult would lure the biggest threat away from the main melee, if he were to do the same thing he had done back then with so many sins around while everyone was fighting, it was certain to catch someone off guard.
Just to make it even more certain that he would follow him, Occult breathed down a typical flame onto some of the troops in the back, to remind him of what he had done to his village.
Occult wouldn't breath on the champions, they were Wrath's to play with afterall and even the proud wizard wouldn't go against a cardinal sin's wish.
Jhorn, The Genocide Knight hadn't gotten much action for a long while but something that was just his specialty was here, a large group of underlings which he approached with some of the soldiers, he would need some help to avoid being overwhelmed in the start but after that, those soldiers if not dead would have to leave to avoid getting caught in.
Minimil, Lady Storm headed for the iron necromancer accompanied by Gnataniel, Fist of Inceneration, it would take at least two of them to take him down, at least.
All of the other champions, as well as the hero party headed for Wrath, who was waiting for them although while on the way, some had to split up to deal with the lesser sins who chose to show themselves.
Lastly, as expected, Iustus followed after the dragon but not alone, Gregory followed suit, whether to keep the boy safe or to make sure not to run into Lust did she happen to be here, he couldn't tell.
What Gregory wasn't expecting was that, him coming with Iustus to confront the draconic sin, was the same as turning this one versus one into a two versus two.
Any moments now, any minutes, the hostilities would be declared, the first hits would be exchanged.
Any instants, any seconds, fights against the legendary sins and their followers would begin.
A dragon roared, a skeleton clicked, a knight laughed, a sheep growled, a man cried, another one begged and a king smirked.
The angel spread her wings.
