"Hero is a title that has been given by many people by the system but th system has its own vision of the concept it seems, from what I gathered, it is mostly about power, for the system, a hero is someone capable of incredible feats"
"It has rarely ever something to do with 'heroism' as we may understand it, that is not quite the case with special heroes, they are given a clear goal and accomplishing that herculean task would certainly make a hero in the eyes of everyone" Gregory recited his notes, literally, he had written down all of this in advance.
Iustus was sitting on his bed perplexed at this, a wry smile on his face as he moved his not quite aching arms around, stretching them and hearing popping sounds every simple time extended a limb.
"You said you were a 'virtuous hero' right? You are meant to deal with the sins, which is weird since I thought the virtues were supposed to be doing that but anyways..."
"That means that destroying Occult should be fairly easy for you..."
Thinking about defeating that dragon seemed quite unrealistic for Iustus, even if he had indeed managed to blow the gigantic beast away by himself, it hadn't seemed to have been damaged in any way.
"Sorry but... I am not sure I am quite catched on all this sin stuff... I get that they are the bad guys by their name alone but Occult is a lesser sin you said, right?"
"If he was so strong already, how could we even think of challenging the actual sins?" asked the young man, quite dubious about his supposed mission as a hero.
"Listen, the power gap between you and me and the power gap between you and occult will pretty much look the same to you, you can't imagine winning because you are used to being nothing but a village boy, you will grow stronger"
"Heroes can grow stronger fast and apparently have quite the disgusting amount of luck..."
"The lesser sins are certainly powerful by themselves, there is no denying it, their sins may be less than the cardinal sins but they can certainly pack quite a punch"
"Though, to be honest, I don't care much about the lesser sins, they are just a bunch of crazy and broken men from times where the gods could smite anyone they didn't like, the cardinal sins..."
"...They aren't crazy or broken, they are fucking psychos, psychopathes and sociopathes are the words, you can think of anyone that you hate, that person doesn't even begin to step into the kind of horror one has to do to become a cardinal sin" spoke Gregory darkly.
"W-Which one is the worst Gregory?" asked Iustus a bit hesitantly, noticing how grim he had suddenly become.
"Lust of course" he responded immediately.
"She is my main target, to be frank, that's all I want and that's all I will be helping for, I just want to see Lust put down" he stared at the wall of the room, as if he could see something deep and profound.
Seeing that, Iustus didn't press any further.
"Huum... Do we have any information of them?" he asked, changing the topic not so swiftly.
"None on the lesser sins, nor on Wrath, Greed too, Envy, Sloth, Maybe on Lust, none on Gluttony and the same for Pride, we have pretty much nothing, only a possibility for Lust"
"When one becomes a sin, their names is expunged from the memories of everyone and their names vanish even from written sources, no matter how famous they might have been, they will disappear until they are defeated, when that happens, everything will go back to normal, presumably"
"Though, we can still use the information gathered on them after they became sins" he added afterwards, taking in a big breath as he prepared to spew out the rest of his text.
"Wrath has a large iron nail that goes right through her left eye and the entirety of her goddamn skull, she wields two swords, a rapier and saber of some kinds, she is apparently super fast"
"Greed hasn't appeared much and when she did, she never did anything but she is quite recognisable, coins for eyes, gold for hair and completely dried up, you really can't miss her"
"Envy is presumed to be an elf of some sort due to her long ears, she used to not show up much but she seems to have been appearing more and more lately, she doesn't seem to be very aggressive at all though"
"Sloth, we can really leave her alone, it is recommended in fact, she will only attack if disturbed, I say we don't even bother with her at all"
"Lust... She is quite stealthy and seemingly spends her time stalking and preparing the next fucked up shit she will inflict onto someone, she is quite recognisable with her bluish and slicked back hair but you have to see her for that, you should be safe from her Iustus"
"Gluttony is the size of a child but apparently, you'll be able to immediately tell that she is not one, the visual given doesn't reflect that fact much though... In any case, she can turn into a bunch of mouths and jaws"
"Lastly, Pride, she is literally blinding and huge, if you run into her, just bow your head and praise her for her superiority, she will leave you alone, after punching you, she always punches champions and such, as a hero, you would have it for sure, maybe even two times"
He gave the hero papers with more than rough drawings of the sins as he caught his breath, having rushed through the descriptions in a single breath.
He leaned forward to grab them but suddenly felt weird.
"You alright?"
"I don't know, I just felt like my heart tingled for a moment..." the strange feeling was gone as quickly as it appeared and didn't show up again after that.
"By the way Iustus, don't try to push the loss of your village and family to the back of your mind, don't put it in the forefront but make sure to not forget" advised Gregory as he cracked his neck.
"Since you seem to be in shape, we'll be going soon, I know who we can join for this fight"
