"I didn't know that there were other kind of elves on this island, apart the two we've been told" remarked Charlotte.
"That's because there aren't, this one comes from the outside" spoke Alamanthienne as she stepped into the room, it had been two full weeks since their brief encounter with The Crystalian and since then, the high elf had seemed as calm as ever.
Which completely freaked out the three otherworlders, she used to bark her words at the slightest of occasions and be generally loud and overbearing, falling so silent and collected was beyond weird.
"She's a dark elf from what it looks like and she got hurt by trying to get to The Crystalian, so I was thinking of interrogating her about it and perhaps recruit her" spoke the elven champion as she sat down.
The dark elf in question had somewhat grey hair and dark skin, dark enough to perfectly blend in shadows, although, when reflection of light, it could somewhat have a purplish tint to it.
As she was an elf, her ears were obviously quite pointy and long, as for her eyes, they were grey just like her hair.
She was a fair bit smaller than the typical high elf and stood at about the same height as the three otherworlders, so a bit smaller than your average woman in this world.
"Any second now..." muttered Olivia as she made use of the ability granted to her as an otherworlder, which was simple healing, even if it had some additional properties.
The next instant, the dark elf suddenly awoke, headbutting Olivia away in the process and shouting some stuff in what sounded like gibberish to the otherworlders or just altered elvish language for Alamanthienne.
"You speak the continental tongue?" she asked casually and the dark elf just started looking around, feeling the part of her bodies that had been wounded without finding enything other than maybe a slight tingle of pain in certain areas.
"...Yeah" she simply responded as she rubbed her forehead without realising that she had just knocked someone out with the pure might of her skull.
"What do you have with The Crystalian?" then questioned the high elf, going straight to business as usual.
The dark elf looked at the ceiling for a few moments, thinking about her answer before just rolling her eyes and deciding that there wasn't anything to hide.
"I am on a quest to find my father..." she started saying and Emma on the other side of the room slumped in her chair as she realised that the dark elf was going to talk about her whole life.
"...My mother recently died from an infection but despite me asking her, she wouldn't tell me anything of importance about my father, not even his name, I don't know the reason but I just feel like I have to find him, he is basically the only family I have left even if I never met him..."
The high elf just listened with the most neutral expression possible, to the point were Emma suspected that she had straight up fallen asleep.
"...She did tell me something, although it doesn't make much sense, she said that he was a human" this made Alamanthienne break her expression as she raised an eyebrow.
The dark elf before her was clearly pure-blooded, on this island it was important to be a full high elf even if the contrary was pretty much impossible, so Alamanthienne was fairly confident in that, there was nothing but dark elf blood coursing through this girl's veins.
"...Anyhow, in my quest to find my father, I encountered many battles and the system sent me an unusual notification, telling me that I had the potential to become a hero, telling me to make sure a certain 'Crystalian' was taken care of on this island in exchange for becoming a fully fledge hero as well as a clue as to where my father may be, so of course, I came here immediately" after a long time of mostly irrelevant information, she finally revealed why she was here in the first place.
"A hero huh? What do you know about The Crystalian?" then asked the high elf.
"Not much actually, the system only designated him as a 'mighty foe' and a 'pillar of these times', though I don't know what that last one means, that sounds like bullshit to me" the high elf grumbled slightly after hearing that.
"What is your name?" she then asked, the sort of question that was supposed to be answered at the start of a conversation.
"Aliara" simply responded the dark elf.
"Nice to meet you Aliara, I am Alamanthienne, those three are Emma, Charlotte and laying on the floor is Olivia" spoke the elven champion as she pointed at each of the three otherworlders.
"We are also trying to destroy The Crystalian, what do you say? Will you help us?" the highelf extended her hand forward as Aliara stared at it for a few moments before grabbing it.
"Sure!"

"My lord, the high elf seems to be making her way here" informed a rather bulky lesser elf to The Crystalian as he sat in throne of crystal.
"It took her less than a month to figure it out? Impressive, she isn't the champion for naught after all" spoke The Crystalian as he stood up, causing all of the lesser elves present to get even closer to the ground than they were before.
"Now, now, no need to grovel so low, how many times do I have to tell you? You don't have to keel in my presence..." The Crystalian reassured them, although his tone was less than reassuring.
"If all goes right, the lesser elf king will rise and you will have no further need for me, I am but a traveller, a guest here..." he reminded them as the a lesser elf raised his head.
"But... Will we truly be fine without you, my lord?" he asked, concern and fear riddling his face at the prospect of The Crystalian leaving.
"Of course you will, I am but a stepping stone toward you success and rise"
"How could we possibly ever repay you?!" spoke another lesser elf.
"Repay me? There is no need for that, I am but acting out of my own volition here, I am simply exerting my kindness, I do not hope for anything from you nor will I accept anything you might offer me" responded The Crystalian as he walked back to his throne of crystal.
"Now, will you please leave? This place will soon be the ground of a terrific battle, I wouldn't want you to be caught in it" he asked the lesser elves as they all stood up and quickly left, many looking back at their lord before leaving, bitter at their own powerlessness.
