Chapter 9 - Ray walked through......

Episode 9

Ray walked through the open space and down into the passage with his men. They soon got to their destination, the torture room. He had scores to settle with some of his captives.

One of his aides stepped forward and punched in the password to unlock the room. Ray strolled into the room, his hands behind.

He inspected the men closely. He had been informed that they had refused to talk.

"You only get the chance to be asked once" Ray said as he looked at the men.

"Who sent you? " he asked but got no reply as he'd expected.

Ray stretched his hands. One of his aides handed him a knife.

Without hesitating, he trusted the knife into one of the men's neck. The action left the others shaking. Even his aides were bewildered.

Ray could be loving and caring one minute and brutal in the next minute. Ray watched as blood gushed out from where he had been stabbed and life seeping out of him forcefully.

"Please don't kill me" the other begged.

"Supreme sent us both to... To poison you" he confessed. Seeing his companion fall senselessly made him had a rethink. "Please don't kill me" he groaned

Ray paused and looked at him. He was a dead man anyway. Supreme had sent men to kill him. "He'd better watch his back" he thought as he dropped the knife.

Ray moved out of the torture room. He signalled to one of his men to finish the job while he went out with the others.

"Get me all necessary information about Supreme and submit it to me in forty-eight hours" he ordered his personal aide, Rodger.

"I'll like to repay him in ten folds" he continued and left for his office.

He had a temporary victory. It's so stupid how these men think they can ever bring him down easily.

'Anyone who wants him dead should be ready to thread the valley of the shadow of death' he grinned.

"Ray!!!!" Templeton yelled as he picked the call. "I know this is your doing"

"Oh really?... If you don't present me an evidence, my lawyer will be in contact" Ray replied calmly.

"Bastard!" Templeton muttered through gritted teeth.

"Meet me at Washington Ville at exactly quarter to element in a basement directly opposite the park... Do not forget to come alone" he hung the call and smiled. He knew for sure that he had Templeton wrapped in his hands.

"Dirty rich Americans" Ray smirked and dropped the phone. He had more than enough evidence to put him behind bars forever.

Ray watched Templeton alight from his car with his bodyguards. The big broad chested man had suddenly changed in the space of hours. His stubble cheeks had sunk into his face which made his cheek bones stand out starkly. He walked closer to Ray.

Ray glanced around for any possible sign but found none. He wouldn't trust for a minute because he looked like a condemned man. Life had taught him so many lessons.

"The estate you demanded for is worth more than hundred million dollars" Templeton began.

"My boy's life is worth more than anything" Ray replied calmly.

"You see Templeton" he poked a finger to his face.

"Now I'm beginning to think you're too selfish... You murdered him for no reason! "

"He went beyond his boundary" Templeton cut in. He was finding it hard to control his temper but he knew he had to in order to avoid similar occurences in the future.

"You could have tortured him" Ray continued

"But you never did. ... Instead you took his life! "

"Don't you dare play the victim's card. We both know that you're doing all these to get money from me"

Ray laughed out loud. He was loving every bit of this.

"How about getting this to the media and you spending the rest of your wasteful life in jail"

Templeton bowed his head in defeat and regret.

Ray had had it planned from the onset. He knew he would get angry and kill the boy.

"Well boy, you have the estate" he stated as his aides handed him a file.

Ray took the file and screened studiously. The smile on his suddenly disappeared.

"This is not the deal Mr Templeton" he stated as a frown creased on his face.

"That's what I've got to offer.... You can get lost" Templeton stated and walked away with his guards.

"You're making a big mistake Templeton" Ray bursted out laughing.

"I'll wait for your call"

Ray stared at his men with a grin on his face. They we're all out on a mission which could bring them the billions they desire.

Templeton was certainly the right man. Ray had kept record of his evil doings for years and had waited for the right time to nail him.

"Got to show some filth what it means to mess with villains" Rodger grinned as he puffed out smoke from his cigarrette

"Yeah! " the agreed. They all love working with Ray despite his ruthlessness. They all knew he was the right man if they do not toe the wrong line.

"I want a perfect job" Ray spoke for the first time.

"Yes boss" they all chorused.

Soon, the car pulled over and all the five men alighted from the vehicle. Once again, they'd tampered with the CCTV camera to allow easy access to do the job.

Ray moved over to the beach. They'd decided to go for his ships. Templeton was an astute businessman who shipped in goods from different countries.

"You sure know what to do"

Ray watched his men move into the ship and onto the deck doing the usual thing.

Just like before, Templeton would hear the news in the morning.

Suddenly, a shot rang out. All the men took cover as different shots followed. He'd secured the ships with thugs. "Ships he got from illegal funds" Ray thought.

He watched as two armed men emerged from the darkness and moved towards his men who had taken cover on the deck.

The men must have thought they were all on the deck. 'Well they thought wrong'

Ray moved silently behind the two men and fired two consecutive shots which brought the men down abruptly. After observing them for some precious seconds, he moved closer and kicked away their guns.

"Motherfuckers!" He smirked and fired two more shots.

"Burn them with the ships" he ordered his men. Ray watched as his men carried them into the ship. He wished he could send a text message to Templeton but decided against it. It could be used against him legally.

"All done boss"

"Alright let's move it!" The men all moved towards the car while Ray there his burning cigar on the ship.

"Yeah.. That's more like it"
